Found black mold inside the ice dispenser while filling my glass and the Coke machines were dirty. The food was so hit and miss. My fried chicken was cold, my husbands chicken fried steak was terrible. The side were hot and tasted fine. Some dishes might be fine one time and terrible the next. The service is so nice and helpful but the food is just not up to par anymore sadly. I’ve eaten at Furr’s since I was little but it’s just not the same. Feels more like a soup kitchen than a buffet.

The servers are friendly and the waitstaff at the tables worked hard for us but the food quality was subpar. We had to send back the chopped steak, two orders of mashed potatoes, two orders of corn, one brown wheat roll and both the cream and brown gravies because they were cold. The coconut cream pie was mushy and had to be replaced also. Of course our wait staffer made it all right by going to the kitchen and getting fresh hot food but someone should have been monitoring the steam tables for temperature. Then on the way out we noticed one of the waitresses picking her nose and returning to the hot line for more food. We brought it to the attention of the cashier but just received a «sorry about that, I hope your waitress made it all right for you». They could use a manager walking the floor and monitoring the food and staff. Highly disappointed will try the Golden Corral next time we’re in the mood for a buffet.

I had the rotisserie chicken and fried fish. They were pretty good and the sides were good. Chris had a steak, mushroom steak, enchiladas, chicken and fish and 4 desserts and he liked them. Everett had chicken wings, cobbler and green beans and was quite full. Rick had the usual.

Grab your dentures and your walker and let’s meet here. This place is consistent unlike their other locations which use to be in 17 states but has gone through massive turbulence and greed. All food is cooked in buckets of butter. Wish the focus was more on health, but this is one of Lubbock’s last of the old restaurants before the chains gobbled up the horizon. Old timers love it here. The staff are kind, on more than one occasion I’ve witnessed patrons often scarfing up and walking out the door without paying, these under 30 groups should be thumped on the head. Parking easy.

Love Furrs and eat at them often if the city I’m in has one. This one is excellent with huge selection and friendly staff. Probably one of the best values in the USA… It’s all you can eat for around $ 10:00 with a drink. Start with the fresh salads, lots of Entrée selections, vegetables galore(both steamed & fried) lots of breads and rolls and very tasty pies, cobblers, & cakes. Everything always tasty and fresh. I just wish they did’ent close at 8PM! CAUTION: It’s easy to overeat here!
