I tried this place for the first time and I was so happy that I stopped by! The restaurant has a cute cottage flare. This is a sandwich place, so the place itself is more on a simple side but I am glad to feel that the owners truly care about this place. It’s clean and welcoming. I ordered the ham sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, sauce, ham, and cheddar. It’s very simple and the amount of meat was just perfect(I am not a fan of sandwiches whose meat is thicker than the bread.) It felt like I was eating«good old time» sandwich. The toasted bread was crispy outside and soft inside. The quality of ham is very good, too. It’s juicy and not too salty. Plus, they grill each ham on the plate right before they bring it to the table! Forget about the chain sandwich restaurants in town. They have the best sandwich in town!

It hurts my heart that this place only has 3 stars right now! I love love love love this place. Best sandwiches in Lubbock for sure! It has a very fun small town feel on the inside. There are lots of cute jams, gifts, and country things sprinkled throughout the restaurant. The menu is huge, with lots of amazing options, making it very hard to choose. My husband gets something different every time and loves it. What do I do? Every time: Croissant, oven roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, provolone, and last but not least, JALAPENORANCH! They toast the sandwich perfectly every visit. It never fails. I think they are starting to recognize me from my order. I don’t love sweets, but I hear people rave about their home made treats. Another plus is the fact that they have meals to go for singles or families and Raider meats, steaks from the agricultural department on Texas Tech Campus.

Prices could be better. The sandwiches we ordered were great tasting. Service needs to be improved. Expect a wait on your sandwich.

The fresh food and warm atmosphere is trumped by the poorly trained staff and sub-par customer service.

I LOVETHEHAMSTORE! I am pretty sure that they have the best sandwiches in town. The staff is always very friendly and you never have to wait too long. The homemade desserts are great and lunch just isn’t complete without a snicker-doodle cookie. As the name implies, the ham is out of this world. My order 99% of the time is the Classic Ham with chips. I wish I knew what kind of bread they use because I could make a meal of that by itself. Seating is limited but there is almost always a table open. A very friendly local crowd will assure that you are not standing waiting for a table.
