Lin’s has new management. So it’s a buffet, buffets can’t be divine and perfect and healthy for the most part. This is your typical chinese food buffet. They have pizza for the kids, sushi, and lot’s of different dish choices. I have never experienced stale food here. I have had to ask for something to be made since it ran out, they whipped it up and got it out fast for me. The thing that brings me back is the mongolian grill. You have the choice of a plethora of veggies, meats, noodles, garlic and sauces. You pick your yummmies and put them in a bowl and hand it to the chef behind the counter. He cooks it to perfection and lathers it onto a new plate. It is a sure fire way to have steaming hot fresh chinese food just the way you want it. What is better than that? I also really enjoy their great wall chicken and the jalepeno chicken.

It was okay the food seemed sort of dry, like it had been there a while. Maybe would better if you catch them at a busy time and food it Bing cooked faster. Over all it was okay but not worth 11 dollars

Please save you and your family the time and money and avoid Lins. Dirty and very poor food selection. If you’re looking for a good Chinese buffet in Lubbock head to Hong Kong.

The variety of food here is good. Chinese American fare of General Tso Chicken and Beef and Brocolli and American fast food like pizza, potato wedges are a mainstay. The highlight of the meal was a Jalapeño Calamari Stirfry. It was tender and flavorful with a nice heat! What a surprise. There is also a selection of sushi and hibachi made to order as well. The Jack of all trades but a master of none unfortunately.

DONOTEATAT Lin’s! We had a party of 10 going out to dinner for my son’s birthday dinner. My son wanted dumplings and beef & broccoli. So we thought Lin’s would be a safe bet. Boy were we wrong! The dumplings were nasty. They tasted like poorly prepared frozen dumplings. The Beef and broccoli was cold. The fried shrimp was undercooked so bad that it was slimy. When my sister-in-law told our waitress that the Beef & Broccoli was cold she brought her a Coke in a to-go cup. Several folks in the party tried the Mongolian grill service, but the cook did not speak English well enough to follow simple requests. He gave my 11 year old daughter Wasabi sauce, when she asked for teriyaki sauce. My wife’s plate had so much garlic on it that you could smell it from across the table. When my sister-in-law asked to speak to a manager the water left and never returned. My daughter went to the front to find the manager, who eventually came to the table. The manager apologized, went and yelled at an employee and never came back. The best thing I ate was a piece of pizza, and it was not very good. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYATTHISRESTAURANT!!!

They provide stale food. Some of these foods aren’t even fresh. I found a lot of hairs in icecream freeze. The freeze is always almost empty. I think they never refill and no one eats cause there are hairs everywhere. Sushi is good. Few items are good. But you don’t have much food items to choose from.

LIn’s has taken a great step forward with the quality of their food. Upon re-opening, I was a bit leery to try it again, because before closing, the food had become very sub-par. However, I have been pleasantly surprised, and I would have to say this is now the best buffet in Lubbock. Yes, it is still a buffet, but the food is better than average buffet food, and I always come away satisfied with both the variety and the quality of their food.

Everything was fantastic! Food was hot, plentiful and tasty. Service was exceptional. Tea glass was never empty. Restaurant is beautiful and very clean. I travel for business every week and this was my first visit at Lin’s. I will be back next time I’m in Lubbock.

I have eaten at lin’s in San Angelo and it was great i loved it but this one in Lubbock was disgusting. they had a great selection but the food was old and some was cold some was out on the line to long the sushi was all stuck together and warm the food was just horrid i would say the health inspector needs to pay a visit. the service was very good though if that counts for anything with the food being so bad !

Food is never hot, overpriced, was so bad when we ate there last, we haven’t been back. Kids hated it, teens hated it, we hated it. Variety is awesome, but food was inedible!

I think the food would be been good if I hadn’t seen the cockroach. It was running across the bar where the steamed rice is located. I’d already begun eating my Mongolian meal but decided to get some rice. Cockroach aside, the chicken in my meal was tough and the guy making the Mongolian did not understand English. He messed up my meal!

Dirty, disgusting attempt at serving Sysco«Chinese» food. I avoid at all costs and typically choose Fortune Cookie or Little Panda when my children are crying about wanting a buffet. I’ll even go to nasty Hong Kong before I go here.

I usually do not dabble in buffet style restaurants but majority rules for work lunches… darn them!!! I will say it was better than most buffet’s with the general tso’s and teriyaki beef with broccoli. The things I thought would be the easiest for a buffet to get right were egg rolls and friend rice. The rice was really bland and the egg rolls were chewy with really soggy filling. The mushrooms and crab ragoons were pretty good. You can do worse than this place I would just rather pay more get less but exactly what I want. Good if you are in a hurry and if you are daring they have sushi on the buffet. I didn’t go down that road but others on our group did with no repercussions.

Wrote a quick tip but I really wanted to write something else about this place. I didn’t really get a taste of the Buffett because I was still full from the lunch that I had, so that’s not my complaint here. The«hostesses» at the front counter gave us the«evil eye» when we said that we just wanted soup. Then, one of them tried to give us a «to-go» soup container-we had to tell them that we were sitting with the rest of our party, obviously we were going to eat with them… After, when we were leaving, the«hostesses» again, failed to acknowledge us-not even a «Thank you». There is only one reason I gave them 2 stars, the only reason-is because the waiter we had was nice, good olé, southern comfort nice… he even did some magic tricks-so we gave him a nice tip. As for the rest of the staff… well, I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon… By the way, the waiter was the only caucasian guy in the joint… not being racist-it was just an observation ;)

Today was my first trip to Lin’s and probably my last. As google breaks things down in three different categories, so will I. Décor– So the restaurant looks good. The exterior draws you inside and the interior is clean and has a unified theme. I didn’t check the bathrooms, but if it’s anything like the service floor, I would expect it to be nice. Service– The woman who initially took my order was a bit stiff and unwelcoming. Given that it was my first visit, I felt a bit put off without even a friendly greeting. The service after that point was quite nice. Anytime my drinks got low, someone was there to refill it. Plates never stacked up. Food– Awful. I hate to be so blunt, especially when it’s buffet food, but the food here at Lin’s was just terrible. I got there 15 minutes after opening, so you’d think the food would be fresh, right? Instead, the chicken on a stick was bone dry. General Tso chicken was just bland, almost flavorless. The flavorless continued through a few of the other chicken dishes I tried. I wasn’t brave enough to try the sushi rolls. They looked like they’d been there a while and were covered in saran wrap. Being from Oregon where sushi bars are plentiful and everything is fresh, the rolls just didn’t look appetizing to me. My girlfriend wasn’t able to join me today but swears up and down that she has good experiences here. Perhaps I just was there on an off-day, but I’d really hesitate before coming back again.

I went there with a couple of friends and for the price they charge, the food is ok. The drinks got refilled quite fast, so there was no problem at all. Also there was no problem with an empty buffet at any time. Guys we are in Texas, there is no reason to eat raw fish. Just get over it that if you want raw fish move to Asia. The rice was great, first time that it actually sticked so I could eat it with sticks.

This place sucks. The food was tastless, the service was horrible. The cashier could not speak English and over charge me. Then I saw her double bill a customer. Horrible experience. I accidently left my ball cap at the restaurant and some one stole it, probably an employee. Wow, do yourself a favor and do not visit this train wreck of a restaurant.

The newest out of all the buffets in town. Have the best location, and the biggest space, but why is the food quality so poor. and its getting worse everytime I go. China star and even Hongkong is better, and both have been around for ages. Alll the food have the same basic 3 or 4 kind of sauces… the sushi was old, food was never refilled fast enough, and the soups taste weird. Been here atleast 4 times but won’t be back again
