I wish I had never, ever walked into this store. There were women testing lotions, so I walked over to try some myself. The guy working yelled from across the store DIDYOUOPENTHAT? YOUJUSTBOUGHTIT!!! It was so humiliating. In my experience testers are always displayed in the front of the shelf. Theirs were not visible to me. So beware!!! Not only did I have to stand in line to pay for this expensive, nasty, stinky lotion I was insulted and embarrassed again. The Maui spirit of peace, love and harmony does not exist in this store. No mahalo!

I went into this store to check out the spices and the clerk was incredibly rude to another customer. It made me really uncomfortable and I felt terrible for the poor lady. I left and wont be going back. I had to give one star in order to post.

Really loved this spice shop. It is a local family running the company-they sell a wide variety of spices and sauces. The person in the store(can’t remember his name!) was wicked informative. Worth the visit if you are in the area and want to buy something that is truly local.

The cottage we stayed at had the Maui blend so we tried it on grilled chicken. It was delicious! Even our toddler ate a whole piece of chicken which she never does. We made sure to buy several jars to take home and were happy to find out they ship! The service was great! The tamari almonds are very good. Again our toddler and us could not stop eating them. The prices are great and we are bring some back as gifts as well.

If you like to cook as much as eat, Volcano spice Company will let you bring home a taste of the Islands. I bring home at least six different gourmet seasonings every trip. One of their newest for me at least, is the Maui Coffee BBQ Rub. When on Maui, go Upcountry to Makawao and try all the spice blends from Kev & John.
