I have been coming here since I was 16! And I’m 34 now so… always awesome food. The only Chinese take out I get in Manteca anymore. Chicken curry, chow mein, asparagus beef, SOGOOD prepared CORRECTLY!

We have frequented this place a few times. Most of the time the food and service is decent. But as I write this it seems like we are forgotten. The server brought our drinks 20 minutes ago, and hasn’t returned:(two other couples have sat been served, with food and drinks, and we had to grab the waitress by the arm to take our order. Last time I come back here.

«I havent had really shitty Chinese in a while…» quoted my husband who eats everything like a goat. Not how I remembered it! Was it because it was delivered and not dine in? Everything tasted like complete crap and no one gave a shit what was coming out of the kitchen :(two much dough on their pot stickers we didn’t even bother finishing. Just threw away. Ordered house chow mein and paid for it… yet got won ton soup instead? THAT was also thrown away because it wasnt very well made(in flavor) — kinda like hamburger filling??? So I figured they owe us over $ 10. :( The grease in the fryer needs to be changed. You can taste nastiness of the oil in the food. The rice is pretty much white rice with peas, carrots and egg. Very disappointing… just wont eat Chinese food in the area during my travels. I really hate panda express crap and that would have tasted better tonight :(I dont think I would return because of tonight. I’d rather go without instead of wasting $ 35.00. Maybe this wasnt a good night, but I hate wasting hard earned money on crap. If I’m gonna get fat-it better taste GOOD!

Excellent meal in a quaint little Chinese restaurant with the not so Chinese name. They have been in business for over 20 years. I started coming here ten years ago with my friend John Edwards. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. It was worth the 15 minute drive to come for a birthday dinner. Lovely friendly attentive staff and owners. I highly recommend.

I really don’t have much confidence in most Asian restaurants in California after a few tries. It’s probably just bad luck. I have passed this restaurant many times for a little over a year since I moved to Manteca, as I would shop at Raley’s or go for Peet’s Coffee. I actually thought that it was just a carry out but they have plenty of seating. I got a friendly greeting as I entered. I was told to sit anywhere on one side of the restaurant. She brought a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. Soon after that, she returned with my iced tea and we II asked if they had an Asian menu. They didn’t. Manteca doesn’t have many Chinese or Japanese people, so there isn’t much call for it. I used to help friends with their Chinese restaurant, so I’m accustomed to eating the other recipes. In any case, I found(number 112?) Filet of sole, and I asked for it to be steamed. She asked if I wanted rice, and I certainly did. How would I eat a Chinese meal without steamed white rice? It seemed an unusual question, Asian to Asian. I talked with the two women occasionally before my food was ready. The woman who appeared to be the manager brought a bowl of soup. It was surprising that the restaurant had been in existence for about 20 years. That’s quite a long time in the short history of the current Manteca.(Someone told me recently that it wasn’t more than a couple of bars 15 years ago.) When the food came, it looked great. The fish tasted just as great as it looked. The sauce was mostly soy sauce, but they included strips of ginger and onion, which was probably too strong for most non-Asians who would prefer sugar and juice in the sauce. I was a bit surprised when I got the bill, being charged $ 1.75 for steamed rice on top of the $ 12.95 for the fish. I understand that the fish dishes are expensive. My buddy at the restaurant in Ohio explained that a long time ago but steamed rice isn’t that expensive, though it was a bigger portion. That last bit brought it down to 4.5 stars. I really like the service and the food, so I’ll definitely return.

I love this place. They’re so friendly. Yummy food. Quick service. Even when we walk in late they insist we sit down and enjoy rather then get it to go. We may just be VIP but they offer us to try new dishes as well.

I have never NOT finished fried chicken before. But I ordered a combo with a single fried chicken, and ordered a second piece extra. My mistake. The fried chicken here was just awful. It tasted bad and had the consistency of a brick. I left both on the plate and was refunded the charge for the second piece. Wifey and I both declined the bad tasting Mongolian beef and broccoli, too. The chow mien was just fine though. One out of three just isn’t good enough. Never again!

I love this place ! I’m sure everyone has a different opinion. But we were searching for a random near by restaurant and this place show’d up on our radar ! Our first experience there the food was good ! My mother in law could now stop talking about how yummy their food was and I couldn’t agree less ! So of course we had to go back ! The second time we showed up they greeted us kindly and surprisingly remembered us. It was a cold-ish morning so they kindly gave us egg drop soup an hot tea no charge. The ladies were beyond kind ! Our daughter(9 months) was treated as if she was a little princess. They brought her out some little cookies which she was oh so excited about ! But of course I had to take away… but then it doesn’t stop there, they were oh so kind to bring her, her own little plate and got her a small meal free of charge. Talking and playing with her! Basically babying her as if she was their own. I thought it was sweet and kind of them. In other words, our service was so nice ! The food was just as good as before ! They just earned them selves some regular costumers ;)

We have tried every single Chinese delivery in Manteca and we keep coming back to this one. We love them! Their food is excellent and their delivery time is super quick. The only thing I would recommend is a «punch card» for frequent customers because we order from them on a weekly basis. If you are looking for the best Chinese food and delivery in Manteca, you have found the right place.

This is good Chinese food. It gets 4 stars because we like it. It would get 5 if it was our favorite place. I love that they deliver. The Hawaiian bbq is awesome. We like there style of chow main, it doesn’t have too many bean sprouts. They give big portions, you always have leftovers for the next day.

Greezy, gloppy, nasty Chinese food. That sums it up. We ordered all vegetarian. The lemon tofu had more batter than tofu and the sauce was served on the side. Even the kids wouldn’t eat that, and they love fried stuff. The veg chow fun with gravy was particularly greezy and gloppy. The black mushroom and bok choi was the best of the dishes, but it still wasn’t worth it. I don’t recommend eating here.

Ate there for a birthday. We got the hot and sour soup… The meat in the soup was rancid. It was the nastiest tasting thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. Not edible at all. One of the members of my group actually gagged… Very gross. The rest of the food was flavorless and soggy… Service was good but the food is bad enough to take any good qualities away from this place. Please save your money and go to Hong Kong Café on Main Street! That place is soooo good!

This is a hole-in-the-wall place in Manteca. However it is a very homey and the food was great. I was very pleased since I requested something that was not on the menu. I decided that I would be a pain and requested if I could have noodles sautéed with bok choy, mushrooms, and tofu. There was no problem with this order(I have been to other places where the answer was simply«We cannot do that»). In addition to my request being fulfilled I was just as pleased with the food itself. I had requested the noodles be slightly fried and as well as the tofu. It came out and tasted just like I imagined it. They prices are very reasonable, for my custom dish came out to be $ 8(which I took more than 2⁄3 back home since it was a fairly large serving).

Great value. I love the egg foo young and mushu chicken. Those, fried rice and tea for 2 = $ 20. Nice! The service is great and it’s very clean.

POTSTICKERS chewy per Matt. Good portions(6 for apprx $ 5) & flavoring. Crispy on the bottom & chewy on top. Tastes freshly made. SALT&PEPPERSHRIMP crunchy & definitely salty with a bit of kick. If you’re craving non-saucy food, this’d be a good choice. Eat the skin, tis part of the flavor. True asian, where’s my shrimp head? THAT’S THEBESTPART!
