So this was a great place. I’m always looking for the local hangout. Usually means best food great price. This was definitely a win! A little difficult to find so keep your eyes open. Food was amazing. I had the fish sandwich and it was huge. Friends had wings, steak sandwich and fries. All were so good! The free jar of fresh made pickles was awesome. The atmosphere was like a bar and grill. Lots of tvs. Our waitress was very nice then it switched to a guy and he was great too! Lots of friendly people. This will definitely be a place I come back to. Happy hour is 3−6p. Good alcohol and appetizer/food prices. Menu is online and it’s pretty full. If you go. Make sure you get your pickles. We asked and they came right out. Free!

This place is it! Best bang for for your buck on the island. Wings are big and plump. Fish sandwich is huge and only $ 9.99. happy hour specials make it an even better value. Can’t beat local dives. But it is family friendly. The poem and eat shrimp are as fresh as you will get anywhere and cost much less. Don’t miss this place!

Still one of the best places on Marco Island. This may be a perfect Dive Bar. It doesn’t even have hipsters. This may be the only place in Florida that has a pork tenderloin sandwich. It’s as good as anything I’ve had in Iowa. I do want to know what happened to the pickle jars. I seem to remember we used to get a pickle jar on our table. Not tonight. It could be that my memory is bad though.

Very nice place. The food was very good too. I had a complicated order and they made it perfectly. We had a very nice waiter. Make sure you bring money because they have a lot of games and claw machines. Definitely deserves five stars.

Classic Isle of Capri trash that got lost on Marco. If you want to get eye molested by a bunch of 60 year olds… Go here. Don’t put money in jukebox… You will be overridden with punk rock no matter when you go. The bartenders have no control… Yea… Right.

Great place. Did not eat here, but we came on two occasions for drinks. Had a very energetic server, atmosphere was great, and the drinks were perfect. Ended up staying longer and got a beer tower and a round of Green Tea shots. Will definitely come back when we are down there again!

Very cool place! Food is so good. Had blackened fish sandwich and it was better than other restaurants’ grouper sandwiches. Prices are great! Hard to find so keep looking if your GPS says you are here and you don’t see it!!!

Their beer battered fish was possibly the best fish fry I have ever had and it’s very reasonable compared to other places on the island for mediocre fish and chips. The next night, we went to try a different restaurant and the credit card machine was broken and neither of us had cash. I was actually quite happy because it justified going to get fish for a second night in a row from the Sand Bar. Back from vacation and no regrets about foregoing trying a new restaurant because it was that good! Also a $ 2.75 Yuengling at any time of day… I’ll take it!

Fun place! We were looking for a place new to go and it was breakfast time. Not many places open at this time. The food was great and so were the people! Great atmosphere and clean restrooms even.(Hard to come by these days) Can’t wait to go back for happy hour and try more of their menu!

Crazy fun atmosphere especially for Happy Hour. Great options for food. Had the fish special, blackened and pasta salad: quite good! They have mugs of pickles & banana peppers on the tables. The waitress, Becky, I think, was outstanding. Great attitude, good recommendations and fun to be with. The cuban sandwich huge and delicious. It’s a little hard to find, no views of the water, but the waitstaff was great and so was the food.

In Marco for vacation and Unilocal led us to the best. Awesome food and even better staff. Buffalo chicken dip is a must have! Pizza is just as good! Good place for happy hour, shooting pool and socializing. Definitely a Marco Island favorite.

Locals love this place but to a visitor such as myself, it strikes me more as a dive bar in an industrial/warehouse part of the island. Happily they had a few craft beer options and fried jalapeño poppers(oddly served with tortilla chips, but nothing to dip the chips in). Waitstaff was polite. Careful, as you might find single folks trying to pick you up, even if you’re sporting that wedding band in full view.

Unilocal — you never fail! Looking for reasonably priced and delicious food in Marco island is no easy task especially on a Sunday. This was it! You’d never find this place from any main street here but thanks to Unilocal we did and so glad we did. Of course we had to try the buffalo chicken dip, the reviews made it sound like the must try of this spot and our waitress’s eyes concurred. Phenomenal, outstanding, amazing, sensational are just a few words that came out of my family’s mouths as the dug in to this dip. It’s all my dad can do to not lick the bowl. Next it was fingers and toes for the table. The fish was cooked perfectly. Just melted in your mouth. And my oyster sandwich was delicious. We ordered the way too much food. One plate would have been good for 2 people easily but I got plans for that fish. My dad had his mind on a piece of key lime pie but I had read the reviews on the Reese’s pie so we asked our waitress Rhonda(who btw was amazing) and without hesitation she responded«Reese’s!». It was heavenly, just the right amount of everything. A perfect way to end the meal! Everything a dive should be. Great food, great service and fun atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

After a long day of driving west and spending a few hours at the beach, we built up quite an appetite! My husband and I were craving bar food, so looking through Unilocal we found out about Sand Bar. We put the address on Google Maps and we headed over. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. We picked a booth and were immediately greeted by our waitress. We browsed through their menu and they had a variety of dishes. Some of their specialties include their version of fish and chips and sandwiches. Everything looked appealing, but I already knew I wanted a burger. So it took me a minute to decide on their Angus Cheeseburger, medium cooked, with fries and a bit of coleslaw. My husband was stuck between a burger and the Philly Chicken, and ended up settling for the Philly Chicken, which also came with a side of fries and coleslaw. The food came out rather quick. WOW! The Angus burger was awesome. The burger patty was thick, and cooked perfectly; juicy and tasty. The fries were also crispy and delicious. It is probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! My husband’s philly chicken was delicious as well, with lots of cheese, peppers, and onions; it had great flavor! We were very happy with our choices. For dessert, we decided on the Reese’s peanut butter pie. WOW! That is also a must have. The crust is perfect, and the peanut butter filling is just delicious. All of it pairs very well together. Loved it. The service was nice, though I had to keep calling our waitress for dressings and water. Overall, it is a friendly neighborhood bar with excellent food. I’m kind of sad I live so far from Marco Island because I would definitely be a regular here!

We were a party of 8 including kids at 9:30 pm. We were seated immediately and ordered the beer battered calamari, buffalo chicken dip and fried mushrooms. The calamari was a bit rubbery and lacked flavor(didn’t really taste like beer batter), the mushrooms were excellent and the Buffalo chicken dip was excellent and served with a large plate of chips for dipping. We had for dinner coconut shrimp… very tasty. Wings were very nice and the Marco Christo was large and full of flavor. The taco salad was large and was average as far as taste. The chicken Cobb salad was large and outstanding, especially for the price. The steamed clams were very good. I’ve heard that the fries are very good but we all thought they had the fake crispy stuff on it which reminded us of eating at burger King, which we don’t like to go. I really thought by the reviews we would have had the nice fat and real potato fries. All and all this is a place we would go to again and is a nice place to just hang out. Lots of tvs! Rhonda was our waitress and was very friendly and responsive.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Ultra lightly fried and light tasting. Pound of peel and eat shrimp were a good deal. Slightly over done but not to the point of ruining them. Also had the steamed little neck clams. Those were dainty and delicious. Perfect appetizer for two. Service was super fast and friendly.
