My fiancé and I just stayed here for 2 nights in a regular Deluxe room in the 4th floor. The room was very nice, nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. However the walls were very thin! Both nights the room next to us was playing extremely loud music and yelling at each other. It happened well past 1am. Nice hotel, but thin walls and no reinforced rules.

I miss when it was called The MGM Grand. No housekeeping, at all, to help, on the floor. I didn’t receive enough towels, but I had to suffer. The carpets were dirty. There were two complimentary water bottles next to the ice bucket in our room. One was open and half empty. Disgusting! Not a good way to show cleaning skills! We only came because I had a good desk on a room. We were told we could upgrade upon check in for only $ 50 more, but then we were told they weren’t available. The line to check in took one hour. No one is accommodating. I heard multiple complaints. More children than I thought there would be, at a casino… Won’t be staying over again, anytime soon. It was only convenient because we live over two hours away.

I made an online reservation for the Fox Tower on 1÷14÷2016 for a two night stay in a director’s suite. Check in date was 2⁄17 departing on 2⁄19. I completed the reservation process and received an email confirmation. No issues and no notification from Foxwood regarding any issues. We arrived at the Fox Tower the evening of 2⁄17 and attempted to check in at the front desk. I was informed that the director’s suit wasn’t available yet I I could get a producer’s suit(a lesser room) and transfer to a director’s suit on 2⁄18. The cost of the room charges for those two days was some ridicules amount of money which was almost double the amount of my original reservation. At this point in time I’m thinking, «What a bunch of bait and switch crooks»! I ended up asking for the front desk manager and we worked out a deal(still not to my liking) where I could check into the producer’s suite for the night and then make the switch to the original room type the following day. I was supposed to get a $ 100.00 compensation for the inconvenience. I intended to discuss this further the following day with the hotel officials because I was still paying more for the room then the original quote, basically paying more money for a lesser room. The following day while my wife was at the spa, I went back to the front desk. I was informed by the desk clerk that the manager was aware of my situation and was working to resolve the issue as soon as a director’s suite became available. Because they were responsible for this error which created my problem they were going to compensate me another $ 50.00 off of the room rate. He took my cell phone number and said I would get a call once the room was available. 5:00pm came around and I had no missed calls or voice mails so I decided to call the front desk to get a status. After being hung up on due to a phone glitch, I finally got to the clerk that said he would call me. He said the room was ready and he would send up the bell caption to help with the transfer to the director’s suite. This went very well. The bell boy was very courteous and helpful and went the extra mile when the key cards didn’t work correctly. The director’s suite is a two room suite with doors on each room. Its biggest asset for me, It allows privacy for each room. One person can sleep while the other person can use the other room or come and go as they please. It’s a much better layout for those that require this kind of privacy. It has a hot tub and a shower in one area and the sink area and toilet are separate so you can use the tub and shower without locking out other people from using the bathroom. The producer’s suite has little to none of these privacy concerns. The final room charges showed up on the credit card and I had to laugh. It was the original amount on the email reservation confirmation although it does say that the amount could change. I have yet to receive the $ 150.00 comp I was promised.

So two friends and I checked in to the Fox Tower for one night for my birthday. We waited in line for approximately 20 minutes to check in. Registration didn’t key our cards correctly so 7 floors and halfway across the casino later and I found myself back at front desk where the lady tried to tell me to wait in line for another 20 minutes to get my room key re-keyed. Needless to say, I didn’t. Eventually she finished with her current guest and I politely asked her again to re-key it. Finally, we could get into our room. The casino is nice. The staff members weren’t helpful and seemed unhappy to be there. Fast-forward 6 days and I have a charge of $ 263(100 for the hold and 163 for the room) to my card. INADDITIONTOTHIS I also have a separate charge of $ 163 for the room. Why, you ask? Well, the woman at the desk told me that the first charge was a hold(even though the $ 100 was the total written listed cost of the hold), and the second was the actual charge. Ok, so now my $ 163 room has charged my credit card $ 426. She says it will take up to 72 hours for the higher charge to be taken off of my account. Ok, fine. Fast forward another 5 days and, guess what? ALLCHARGESARESTILLONMYCARD. I just got off the phone with them AGAIN and this time they simply said they didn’t see the second charge at all and they were connecting me to their account services department. I’m then transferred over to a voicemail that asks me to leave my information so they can call me back. Seriously? I will never stay at this hotel again and I have told and will continue to tell everyone I know to avoid this place. That is, unless you don’t mind getting ripped off and fighting with unhelpful staff for weeks on end, only to NOT have your issue resolved whatsoever. 0 out of 10 this place is a scam. If I do not receive my refund by the weekend I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and taking the matter to a legal level.

Rooms were quiet, amenities were nice and the roll away bed was comfortable. I can’t find much to complain about expect the very long line to check in but it did move quickly.(10 – 15 minutes) Upon check in the room was clean and the fridge was a really nice to have along with a few extra waters. The elevator bank is located down the casino room away from the front desk and consists of about 8 so there really isn’t much waiting even though there’s 30 floors. Our room was on the 28th and had a vast view of the Connecticut forest. Would stay here again for the right price and for the easy access to hit the casino floor, bars, restaurants and shrine.

The rooms are gorgeous! The bed is comfy. This hotel is about a 7 minute walk from rainmaker casino and the higher traffic areas of Foxwoods, but there’s still good slots in this area. The staff is nice, and check in/out is a breeze. There is a $ 100 deposit and $ 16+tax resort fee upon check in. I would stay here again!

I stayed here in January of 2015. We got a Groupon and stayed one night for a friend’s birthday, in the producer suite style room. It was a very large with two TVs, a nice sitting area, and a great view of the ice skating rink and CT landscape. The bathroom was spacious and modern. I would give the room 5 stars. It’s a nice space to have a cocktail with friends before going out. As others have noted, the front desk tends to have long lines for checking in(15 – 20 min at least). I found the staff to be knowledgeable and kind. They really seem to need more staff and a bigger front desk! The casino and nightlife at Mohegan is superior to Foxwoods in my opinion, so that brought the rating down. There are not as many restaurants and things to do at Foxwoods. The crowd tend to be a bit older. Besides Scorpion Bar and Shrine, there isn’t any nightlife at Foxwoods. Also, if you haven’t seen it, the Pequot Museum is really worth checking out. They are open seasonally.
