Homewood Suites

I recommend this hotel and would stay here again. My daughter and I stayed here while we were in town for cheer competition. At the very last minute, the hotel let us use the meeting room to get all the girls ready. It took maintenance awhile to get the a/​c turned on but they did eventually get it working. The rooms were clean and had a very comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the breakfast! It wasn’t a Vegas buffet but they had a little bit of everything. Most complimentary breakfast only have cold foods. But they had eggs, omelets, beans, and something different both days we stayed. The Texas waffles were a big hit with my daughter as well. There was a mix up with my reservation and the general manager, Roxanne, was such a huge help in getting the situation remedied. Thank you Homewood for a weekend to remember with my daughter!

Who is writing these reviews. No internet on arrival. The AC cut out at 2AM no fan, no AC, nada. Ok the guy just fixed it. Stains on couch and walls, huge chip out of the desk? I’ll post pics. It’s just sketch. This is Hilton?

Always enjoy staying in Homewood Suites and this one is no different. Conveniently located off the freeway. Very clean and pleasant staff.

I am typing this from my bed in my hotel room using the excellent free wi-​fi! It is my first time staying here (and in McAllen) and I will definitely be returning for my next work trip here. The free breakfast is great, they offer free drinks and dinner on M-​Thr (didn’t have dinner but enjoyed the drinks!), there is a laundry room, small but nice fitness center, a half-​court basketball court, and a pool. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and I don’t feel claustrophobic when I’m in my room like I often do in hotel rooms. I also have to follow the government per diem rate when I travel for work and the Homewood Suites met that rate which I really appreciate (via Hilton’s government and military webpage).
I will be returning to the area in a couple of months and will be booking here again!

Fantastic place to stay. The reception staff is great, the rooms are clean and well appointed and housekeeping is top notch. Also, having a laundry room is a big plus when on extended work trips.

Great extended stay hotel. Rooms are large and well balanced. Breakfast offerings are fantastic, along with a nice social hour with beer and wine and one dinner entrée, plus salad bar. Close to all the new restaurants off the Expressway in W. McAllen (PF Changs, Mimi’s Café, Macaroni Grill, Cheddar’s).
