Just a causal American restaurant. I had their grilled blackened tilapia all the time and it’s fine. Love their rolls but not much for their cornbread. Husband love their big juicy chicken fried chicken and sometime steak. I once had their juicy chicken at lunch man I’m full. Food is mediocre as expect for chain restaurant.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, tasty food. Only a couple of complaints… 1. When refilling drinks — give WOMEN refills too, not just the guy. This one is the one paying and tipping anyway. 2. When people order okra, please fry it FRESH. I can tell when it’s pre-fried… it’s rubbery! Disappointed!

I go here with my boyfriend for lunch a lot. Service is usually pretty good(service is always dependent on different waiters). Food is basically good comfort food and I LOVE their queso. I’d put that on everything if I could.

I’m not sure if our server was just a poor server or if he was new. He was very friendly but I just don’t think he was server material. My friend and I ordered off the menu. She ordered the Chicken fields salad and I ordered the grilled shrimp. Our server asked us way to many questions for such a simple order. He asks me if I want the 4 or 8 shrimp. Um the menu says 8, but what the hay I’ll eat light today and get the 4. The menu said it came with a side so I chose the loaded baked potato. When food was brought there was no potato. I ask the server. He says oh the 4 doesn’t come with a side. Then why did you bother to ask me what side I wanted? We also ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Oddly enough that came after our meal. I thought an appetizer comes before the meal not after. So when I got the bill I notice the server rang up a side of shrimp and a side salad for me. Hmmmm no wonder I didn’t get that potato. Management should work on training the staff better. The food was okay nothing exceptional. Seems how my first time trying this place was not thst great of an experience I don’t think I have a reason to come back.

Had the meatloaf. Was okay. Service just okay. They don’t seem to get their steamed veggies cooked well like they used to. They used to be so delicious. We’ve been going to Cotton Patch for years and it seems that they’ve gone downhill. We pretty much decided we would stop going for a while. May try them again in six months to see if they’ve gotten better again.

So… the update. This place has really gone downhill. We walked out a few months ago because we waited for like 20 minutes for a server. It happens, places get busy and sometimes they’re short staffed. So we gave it another try a couple weeks ago. The place was filthy, food and trash on the floors and just dirty. So we were seated and I opened the napkin with the silverware inside. I’m gagging thinking about it. The silverware looked as if it hadn’t been washed. My boyfriend opened his and it was also dirty. So we walked out again and won’t be going back. Imagine what the kitchen looks like if they can’t be bothered to clean the dining room.

This place has a very inexperienced staff. I put an order in for pick up they said it would be ready in 20 mins. Went to pick up the order for me and my children but no one new where it was or who took the call. No one apologized or cared. It may get busy but at least show some kind of genuine interest when it comes to helping someone.

Had a great chicken fried steak with a side of corn and a side of mushrooms. Great service by Sydney F — she was wonderful.

I come here specifically on Thursdays because I’m in love with the chicken spaghetti special. It’s just like back home. When they are in season you have to get the fried green tomatoes with avocado ranch dressing. They are soooooo good. If you love fish tacos the grilled Baja tacos are terrific. Well seasoned and at three to an order with fries or chips for 8.99 they are a great deal. Never an issue with service. I typically do take out and it goes great!

Overall food is good, with a few really good options. A lot of southern comfort food, burgers, and some really good salads. I would highly recommend the strawberry pecan salad, and the boneless buffalo wings. Alcohol: Beer and wine with small bar. Prices: very reasonable and entrée sizes are above average size. Service: ask for Lindsey, she is great!!! Enjoy

My family and I went here on a Sunday after church. We didn’t have to wait long for seating but the customer service here could be better. Our server was not the friendliest person. I ordered the fisha and chips and the fries were extra greasy. My husband ordered the catfish and we ended up trading. I can’t believe they charge for kids drinks instead of including them in the meal. The only upside was the blackberry cobbler. It was amazing!

Horrible food! Horrible service! Craving pot roast and saw new menu item advertised in net search. So tough could not eat, full of gristle and fat. Obviously sitting in back for days. Servers all eating in front and obviously bothered by us at 4:30 pm. Finally seated, no silverware. No water refills. husband had veg plate — tasteless. Okra little rocks, soggy corn and peas. Total waste of time and money!!!

Have enjoyed CPC for years now, ever since we discovered the Frisco location behind Stonebriar and were thrilled when they built two even closer to home in McKinney and Allen. This location is crazy-packed on Friday nights(I assume for the much-needed Happy Hour specials!) and can take a while to get seated. Service is always friendly here IF a little haphazard — it seems like it can take a few minutes to get additional items like napkins, forgotten sauces on the side, replacement utensils, etc., but we always leave in a satisfied mood because of the FOOD! Amazing chicken and dumplings, chicken fried chicken, fried shrimp, meatloaf, salmon, yeast rolls, and don’t forget the COCONUTCREAMPIE! We take my 78 year old mother-in-law here once a month(and she’s a great cook in her own right) and she loves this place as does my six year old daughter. If you can please three generations in one mealtime, what is better than that?

OK, this was our third lunch here. I upgraded my rating from a 3 star to a 4. We have had the same server a couple of times now and she is very friendly and efficient. always nearby with a drink refill as soon as the glass hits the halfway mark. I had the Tuesday Tex-Mex menu item with Baja Fish Tacos. They were excellent and really hit the spot. My wife had the half sandwich and tortilla soup. she said the soup was better than many of the Mexican restaurants we have tried. The fact we had to wait several minutes to get seated is testimony to the crowds that gather here for lunch. We don’t eat out much for dinner since my wife is such a great cook. But next time we are looking for someone else to cook, I think we will give this a try.

While I am a stickler about customer service, I don’t understand why people are so fussy over the service here. it’s not fine dining. They aren’t going to trip over you. They are there to get you in and out, just like AppleBee’s and Chile’s. It’s been fine every time I’ve been here, and like I said, I’m a stickler when it comes to service! I really like that I have never had to wait for a table here. They have plenty of other customers but they always seem to have at least 1 empty table. Like I said, it’s fast. We like the fish and chips. It’s fast, it’s easy, it’s cheap and it’s good! I’ve had several other plates but I usually stick with f&c when I go to Cotton Patch. If you have a sweet tooth, try their desserts. They have never disappointed. Especially the bread pudding. Yumminess!

What I like about Cotton Patch is that no matter which restaurant you are in you know you are going to get your food prepared the same as the last time you got it and it is going to be good food for a reasonable price. Both my mother and my daughter are addicted to Chicken and Dumplings. I don’t think either of them have ever, in the past 6 years we have lived in Texas, have tried anything else. Today I had the blackened tilapia lunch with rice and salad. It was really good. I am trying to eat more fish and this went down real easy. I must have misread the menu because for my 2nd side(other than the salad) I asked for baked potato. When I saw the rice and potato on the plate I knew that was going to be too much food so I just boxed the potato up for later. What is also great is the price, 2 people without drinks and the bill was $ 17 before tip. Pretty hard to feed two people a nice healthy(if you don’t count the chicken and dumplings) meal for under $ 20.

We have tried this place on a few occasions. The food is good. For those that are health conscious and/or vegetarian, there are choices. I am not clear why one comment by a younger party needed to call this place an inappropriate name. While these comments might be funny, they serve no usage and, frankly, should be deleted. The service was good. The food was excellent. The prices are reasonable. The menus have variety. Sometimes, it has been crowded but the turnover is fine. I see a comment about the Wabbit Platter which fits my wife since she is vegetarian. Frankly, I kind of like the grilled chicken. I know that I have had a couple of their sandwiches which were very adequate and priced reasonable.

I have a friend that used to work here in high school. She nicknamed it the Rotten Snatch. Now I can see why. The food was decent. Got a Club sandwich and a side salad.(Light lunch, I’m watching my figure ok? Screw you.) Just your typical club sandwich, nothing too special, but got the job done. Same with the salad. But this places service sucked like no other. I think it was just my waiter, but damn, what a sucky suck. Let me setup the ambiance. I am by myself. I am one of 4 tables currently there. There are 3 waiters serving at the time. He comes over after a lil and by a lil, I mean 10 minutes, to take my drink order. I tell him I am ready to order my food, as well, because I have had ample time to glance at the menu, reglance at the menu, jump on my phone, read an article, then check the spelling of that article before he came to see me. Get my drink promptly, sipping on my DP and water. Finish the DP, sipping on my water(I get the water because waiters sometimes don’t always refill your drink right away and I am like a camal that just took adderol in the desert… aka I drink a lot of fluids.) After about 10 minutes of having no DP, he finally comes over and says«Hey need a refill?» No dipshit, I don’t need a refill. I need you fired. So I get my refill. Sipping more slowly on the DP this time because I don’t want it to run out. 20 minutes has gone by. I still haven’t received my food and my waiter has DISAPPEARED. WTF. So a new server comes and brings my food to me after about 25 minutes. Mind you, this is a club SANDWICH and a SIDESALAD. My 15 year old brother can make and sandwich and grab lettuce out of a bag in about 5 minutes, so I would give them max MAYBE15 to microwave the precooked bacon to put on my sandwich and toast my bread… sigh. So now my first waiter is gone and I think they just forgot to wait on me. Wasted about 40 minutes of my one hr lunch break waiting for food, then I just scarfed it down as fast as I could less my manager wants to ask me «So Andrew… where have you been. You were supposed to be back from lunch 10 minutes ago… did you get the memo about the TPS reports?» Fuck you. Anyways, very displeased with the service here at the Rotten Snatch and will never go back. It has ruined my flavor for every Rotten Snatch I will ever lay my eyes on.
