Gave one star because I had to in order to review. First of this place never answers the phone!!! Which frustrates me to the extreme I hate when businesses don’t answer the phone it’s like they don’t want my money. Second of all when I went in there it took about twenty minutes for them to even acknowledge me. The waitress took about 30 minutes with my drink and she was rude when I asked about it. This location is horrible save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

This place is close to home and the people are pretty darn friendly. My grams loves their beef stew bowl. The staff is pretty darn nice it may take you awhile to get seated if they are busy. They also have NA Beer there as well. They also do double shots for like a buck more. Definitely worth checking out oh and they have an awesome sammich there!

Bad service? How about NOSERVICE? First of all, no hostess, but sign says wait to be seated. Then we are told to sit anywhere! Just walked out after waiting over 40 minutes for our order. The waitresses are completely clueless and the kitchen must be run by sloths. I’m surprised this place is still open. Probably all the drunk regulars that actually get attention from the staff. Avoid this place at all costs if you are even mildly hungry. The manager needs to step up, train his staff and learn how to run a restaurant. This DIVE gets five NEGATIVESTARS.

What has happened here? Tonight was probably the worst restaurant experience in my life. No, I’m serious. We were seated and immediately apologized to because the waitress didn’t «know we were at her table.» But wait… that’s nothing. The kids got kid menus and we got ours. Ordered drinks… so far, so good. We ordered and waited… waited…waited about 25 minutes. Waitress came out and apologized. Said it would be an additional 20 minutes or so because there had been a «rush» on the kitchen. Okayyyy… we can handle it. About 10 minutes later waitress came out to confirm my order. Seriously? Ok, deep breath, we are still rolling with it. The kid meals come out followed by the meat portion of my order(without the sides). Hubbies order is nowhere to be seen. We ask? Oh… it’s coming they say. Another apology. Another 15 minutes pass. At this point we are pissed and asked to speak with Mgmt. 5 minutes later William, the chef, shows up. Blames issue on wait staff. Still another 5 minutes till food shows up. I had to get up from the table and ask for water. At this time, I heard William shout at Brianna(our waitress) that she had just«bought a chardonnay.» William says he will deduct«a small portion» off meals and comp one wine. Cutting this short, but we paid for the comped wine and he gave us $ 6.50 off the bill. We were seven year customers who have no interest in coming back. Mgmt is a JOKE. And the service was horrid.

Ouch, must have been a bad night… Been here before for good times but tonight was … Not good, cold food — poor management, and slow responses to issue…

Fun place to go but the service is terrible. Not once have I gotten good service and I come here often. You have to be a daily regular to really get any good service. Seems like the bartenders and wait staff only flock around their locals. I got charged $ 120 for 4 beers and an appetizer. I was like what’s this and the manager told me she put two other people’s bills on my tab. They had no authorization to charge it and it made me pretty upset. I think that’s against the law. Don’t come here if you want service cause you have to flag down the bartender even if your sitting at the bar. Now I know why this place keeps getting worse. It’s management

Food was great(Waffle Combo), service was average, prices reasonable. Waitress charged us regular price on the happy hour specials. We told her and she changed it(took her quite some time though). Not sure why we were charged incorrectly for something that should be in their computer… makes me wonder if it was an oversight or something else. Not good as a sports bar… tvs not situated for that, but you could keep an eye on a game depending on where you’re seated. We might go back for dinner but not to watch a game.

I haven’t been here in a while, but stopped in tonight for drinks with a buddy. I was very pleasantly surprised to see amazingly attentive service. Quick response, and I never had to ask for drinks.. I know what you are thinking, this does not sound like the Delaney’s I remember. All I can talk about is tonight’s experience.. Emiee and Ashley were amazing and I cannot say enough good things about tonight’s service.. Is this a new rebirth for a former local favorite? I sure hope so!

Great breakfast. Wife is a fan of the chicken and waffles. I enjoy the bacon or sausage egg breakfast. Love the potato cakes.

I get the half order of fish and chips. It’s delicious! I love the French fries. They are thick, spiral cut and fried perfectly. The fish is good too. I get a nice sized piece of beer battered cod. The service is good and the wait staff is friendly. I plan to come here often.

I think the reason this place has lasted so long is it’s a bar nestled in the rich suburb of McKinney. Meaning… You can get shit faced, then only have to drive home like five minutes or less. It’s an older crowd for sure. It’s just typical bar food.

First time trying it and it was really good I got the owners cheeseburger and the bread was so tasty and the beans along with the mean was nice and sweet. Our fries got here Cold and we told our waitress Marcie(who was awesome and super sweet) and she got us new fries almost immediately. So we appreciated the quick response! Good customer service.

Food is good, but make sure you aren’t in a hurry! We had a party of 7(4 adults, 3 children) and spent two hours. The first hour and a half were spent waiting. We didn’t mind too much because there are TVs everywhere. After an hour, we started wondering how much longer it would be! Our waitress came over and said it shouldn’t be too much longer. 30 minutes later we got our food, which was all pretty good. One person got a pasta dish and it was cold. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and eventually came back with a hot pasta dish(I was a little more than halfway through my meal by then). No apologies, just swept it away. Again, drinks and food were good, but was surprised by the wait. Potentially a neat atmosphere, but a little on the run down side, which is surprising because the area surrounding does not seem old at all.

My husband and I stopped in for brunch one day and had a pretty bad experience. We waited forever to be seated and while it was busy, there were plenty of open tables that just had yet to be cleaned off. Still, being a server myself, I understand sometimes uncontrollable factors come into play. We sat down and our server was an older lady who wasn’t very pleasant. She took a long time for our drinks, which were just two sodas, and it took even longer for her to come back and take our order. After that, our drinks went empty and she didn’t return for another long while. At this point our food hadn’t come out and it had been a good 30 minutes. She came over FINALLY and said«I haven’t forgotten yall, it’s just the kitchen is busy.» and she was very defensive rather than apologetic(keep in mind we hadn’t even complained). Food came out after about 40 minutes and it was fresh. No problems taste wise. I was disappointed that after the fact, we got no apology from the server or manager(who at this point knew we had been waiting a while)…paid the bill without objection and that will be the last time we go there. Such a shame.

3 pm on a Saturday and seating was very plentiful. It’s not a tap house, but the beer selection is decent. Started with the onion rings made from scratch and they were fantastic … portion size was very generous as well. Could easily be a good 4-person app. My first beer was cold, but not cold enough. Like it has sat on the bar for 10 minutes. I shrugged it off and moved on … The second beer arrived faster and was colder. Not a coincidence but I did question why it would take any time at all to get a beer since the place wasn’t even half full. The Shepherd’s Pie was fantastic. Had it with fries and left fully satisfied. Waitress was very friendly. Overall a very good experience. Not perfect, but better than most.

This is a great local spot with 50+ beers on tap, and full bar with several tv’s throughout. The menu overall has a lot of different options from standard Irish Pub food to burgers, and sandwiches. There are a few dishes that are very good and some just your standard bar food. They were voted one of the top breakfast places in McKinney. Prices are fair, servers are friendly, extensive juke box, video golf and other games make for good entertainment.

+1 star for the friendly front-of-house staff, and +1 star for the beer selection. We never really had high expectations for most of their menu, but had found solace a few times with the traditional selections of fish n chips and shepherds pie. Unfortunately, our latest visit could not even provide that for us as the fish was mushy and had an odor, along with the shepherds pie having huge chunks of onion and undercooked carrots and generally being overpowered by potatoes with almost no gravy or flavor to speak of. The spinach artichoke dip came with seasoned toasted pita bread which was good, but the dip had large pieces of tough artichoke. I noticed they have margaritas on special for Mondays, but at $ 5 for house ingredients I’d hardly call that a deal. I think this place could have a smaller, more focused menu and perhaps some more inspired cooking. Delaney’s is conveniently located, but I feel we as consumers shouldn’t let mediocre places succeed with that as a crutch. Either that or just go there to drink and don’t venture beyond the appetizer section(curiously at the back of their 6 page menu) when you get hungry.

This is a great local watering hole. I’ve been here a few times and have had good service each time. It’s got more room inside than you think by looking at the outside. The food is pretty good, the turkey, bacon and Gouda pita. It was really tasty.
