Nothing special. It was my first time going to a blimpie chain so I didn’t know what to expect. Apparently it’s a cross between subway and robeks. I got a chicken ceasar wrap which was ok but I was still hungry afterwards. Also there were only 2 people working there during the lunch hour and 1 of the guys was painfully slow. I wanted to jump behind the counter and make the wrap myself. Probably not going here again unless I’m starving and have no other choice.

Is this place open again? Last time I went, the guy told me that Blimpie’s wasn’t yet open, as they were in the process of hiring people to run it.

I will echo what John D said. And I will add that they don’t skimp on the toppings when making your sub. The smoothies are pretty good, too. The«base» is a bit of a mystery, but the fruit they use is fresh(I just wish they’d use a little more of it).

If you work out at Sport and Health, it’s a great way to get some protein in a hurry, when your body needs it most. I’ve had a few of their subs, and they aren’t bad if you get the $ 5 foot long specials. They get pricey if you venture outside of that, I think that I paid nearly $ 8 for a foot long tuna. It seems that the staff there might have a stake in the ownership(read: family), as they really hustle and get you out the door quickly.

I haven’t been to a Blimpie in years. I think the last one I went to was in a gas station. Any how, for those of you that don’t know. This is located behind the Sports & Health Gym on Greensboro Drive. My office is pretty close so I just walk over if I’m visiting my McLean office. The funny thing is I walk right past the Subway to get here. Subway is o.k., but they seem to be skimpy of the toppings and meat. I walked in and looked over the menu. I ordered one of their $ 5 foot long subs. I ordered the Blimpie Best. It is ham, salami, cappoaola, prosciutti, cheese, then all your toppings. I loaded it up with a bunch of the extra veggies. I made it a combo and was out for under 8 bucks I think. What I like about Blimpie subs is they are heavy. They seem to give you more meat and they give your more toppings. When I get subway subs, they are never this heavy. Anyhow, I walked back to my office and at my sub. It was nice and tasty. Not much more to say. This place is located inside an office building. I actually think the entrance the gym is here. There are table in front of the counter, so you can eat there if you like. So if you want a sub that is not Subway, go here. =)
