Muscle Maker Grill

This place is permanently closed. I am not surprised at all. They were always empty.

The inside is very clean. It has a little more if a fast-​food kind of feel but much much healthier.
I ordered a Chicken dish with Balsamic vinaigrette which was a little too strong for me. It was also a lot of food and very reasonably priced. I ended up taking most of what I ate home and added a little bit of my own flavoring to it to off-​set the vinaigrette. After doing so, the dish was one if the most delicious dishes.
The person I came with happened to really enjoy his meal, which had a slightly better sauce. He also recommended the shakes which I didn’t get a chance to try.
I think this place really depends on what you order, you can still be very healthy without sacrificing flavors, but I love the concept! I would come back but try something different.

I don’t love this place but I don’t dislike it either. My husband and I have been there a few times both to eat in and take out. We’ve had the Teriyaki style, Mexicana, and I believe Tex-​Mex platters. They have been consistently decent and give good portions, but the ingredients are just not a high quality product resulting in a great presentation– the platters look like something you can throw together with the ingredients in your fridge. They do taste fairly good which is why we have returned.

I went by the Hempstead location today. I thought I was walking into Moe’s Southwest grill (Moe’s sign still up outside) because I was in the mood for a burrito. I walking in and looked at the menu and decided to give it a try, big mistake. The place was empty except two people finishing lunch. I ordered the Romano pasta which includes chicken and a side order of teriyaki nuggets. The pasta was bland and the chicken was dry, big pieces of beige dry hunks. The teriyaki nuggets were just as dry and did not even resemble chicken in it’s concoction. I won’t be back.

Had Mardi Gras chicken salad. I ordered at the counter and left with my meal in less than 5 mins. Salad was very good, in fact delicious. I will coming back for sure.

After hearing a few good things about this place, I am left with the conclusion that anyone who ever raved about this place was probably high on some really good shit! Horrible customer service, charged me before realizing they had no chips. They also didn’t have any protein. Only choc and vanilla. Why do they have item on the menu when they can’t supply the consumer with what’s in it. Now I have to waste my time calling the bank to make sure they don’t charge me.
The feel I got here was horrible as well. There is this place in the projects in queens called Kennedy Fried chicken. Being a queens boy, it’s nice to know I don’t have to travel all the way to queens from baldwin to get that ghetto feel.

Second time ordering from here. They’re helpful and observe your dietary needs respectfully! Their chocolate peanut butter Shake with banana is GREAT!!! Had the salad both times! Which was delicious too! Order from seamless and they deliver too!

I ordered the Whole wheat penne and chicken dish. I was excited to finally know there was a healthy place to eat, even later into the night. I placed my order online, picked up, got home and dug in. The chicken was good, pasta was good but damn was the sauce they used so salty. Literally had to grab water to continue eating. the sauce killed the meal. Super disappointed.

First and last time I will order from these guys. Ordered tex –mex chicken fajita & western potatoes. Chicken tasted horrible and potatoes were hard like they were warmed under someone’s armpit and flavored with hot sauce. Something to eat no thanks.

This place has been open for a decent amount of time now and I had yet to try it. I have to say, I think the name needs to change. «Muscle maker» isn’t the most appealing or attractive name. Before I ordered from here, I assumed this place was basically one of those walk in, make your smoothie, add whatever kind of healthy additives you wanted, and walk out. Maybe get a ‘blah’ salad, see a few «meat heads». But tonight we decided to order something different and healthier, and I’m super happy I gave this place a chance!
We ordered through the «seamless» app, already a plus. I ordered the ‘el mexicana’ and was able to edit it as I pleased (no rice or cheese but add extra veggies). My girlfriend got the turkey chili and a smoothie.
The food came within a half hour by a friendly delivery lady. Both of us are finishing up as I type this and are pleasantly stuffed. Thank you muscle maker grill for a great last-​minute meal! But… you should change your name!

I have heard some not-​so-​great things about Muscle Maker Grill in the past so I was reluctant to try this chain. However, we needed a quick and healthy meal that was close by and decided to try it.
I had the Hollywood salad because of all the popular Unilocal reviews and was very happy. There was an abundance of chicken and turkey bacon! This is exactly what you want to see in any salad.
The taste was OKAY and their house dressing is very good. I would definitely return and try another salad. For dieting, protein options, this seems like a very good fit for a quick meal that is not like other fast-​food.

I have been to several Muscle Maker Grills. This was my first visit to this location. The staff was super friendly. Much better service than the other locations. I always order the same dish, Sesame chicken teriyaki over whole wheat pasta. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry. Probably won’t be back.

I ate lunch yesterday at muscle makers grill using a groupon coupon. This is basically a modified fast food restaurant with a healthy theme. I ordered a turkey hamburger wrap which was good. The portion was about average in size however there prices seems somewhat high and this gives this restaurant a below average price to value ratio. All in all this was a ok experience.

Tried it using a Groupon and now I am hooked. Love it!

This place is incredible. Great food, great variety, great owner and employees, great value. For someone who wants to eat but not have much on the gut, this is surely the place to go. Great lunch/​dinner spot.
I recommend the Rocky Balboa wrap or the Mardi Gras chicken salad. Both wowed me.
Really enjoyable all around. Can’t wait to return.

I did not enjoy the signature wrap or the potatoes. I was excited for the nuggets but I did not like them. A great deal of Tabasco sauce on everything.

i ordered online before work and am always nervous that it wont’ come out right or be ready and the minute i walked in they were like Hi Beth here’s your order and read back to me exactly what i ordered which was the Turkey burger wrap no sour cream no cheese no sauce, SOS, with pasta salad. They are so nice and accommodating and that goes a long way with me. I still can’t believe something this good is healthy, very good.

Is it really healthy? Is it non hormone non steroid organic chicken?
Some items are high in calories?
Better than eating @ pizzeria or deli but not sure if healthy?
Everything should be organic?
Food is not bad but I expect more and more you go the more everything tastes the same?

So Happy they opened in Merrick!, been waiting after seeing them open up all over in Manhattan, what a great mouth –watering and best of all HEALTHY Menu! Love how they show some pics of food and when its served up it looks identical tastes fresh and You seem to forget ure actually eating healthy and wont feel guilty! Just had the warm-​up Texas chicken nuggets w fat free sour cream and they were amazing loaded with flavor! Just add a little Frank’s red hot to kick up a notch!, Wifey had The lean mean cheeseburger salad and it was huge and fantastic she said, i had the Penne w
sauce with chicken the other day and it was just enough very good as well almost like a fine Italian restaurant served it! The chunks of chicken were so delicious! Tonight I ordered the Lean ground turkey chili with reduced fat cheddar cheese salsa fat-​free sour cream tomatoes scallions over brown rice. again a Winner In my book!0nly 341 cals! If I could I would eat/​order all my meals here everyday, What a great success story they have been in business since 1995 and I think they will continue to strive try it you will not be disappointed! here’s to your health! Knowing I am getting this for lunch today makes me even more excited to write this.
I love this place. They recognize me already when I walk in. I bet in two weeks they will know my name. We order once a week for lunch at work. They start delivery September 9 so we pick up for now. One day I had it for lunch and dinner.
The Hollywood salad is my favorite but I enjoyed everything I ate so far.
The best thing for me is the gluten free options. My son has celiac disease and finally a place he loves that we can eat at together. He loves the Tucson. The signature sauce we love.. Very nice staff. Love that I live in next town over. Portion sizes also are great.
