I’ve been here a few times since Mr. Pi’s closed down and the food is ok, not outstanding. The décor is nice and service is always good, but nothing has ever blown me away. The good thing is they do deliver if you don’t feel like leaving your house.

Very happy with the sushi here, a tad pricey but good quality, online ordering, and fast delivery. I’d order from again.

Cute restaurant. Was looking forward to putting it on my list. Went for lunch and got a teriyaki lunch bento box but my chicken was rubbery. Definitely something wrong with it. After they recoiled the SAME chicken, it was returned to me and all the staff watched me as I retried the rubbery breast. When they asked me if it was ok, I said no and explained. They did not apologize or offer me a free meal. Bad customer service. Would not go again.

First 2 start, when you order over the phone for delivery; be sure to make them repeat everything in your order 3 times. Also, their menus say Free Delivery, but they charge you $ 1 for delivery on receipt. The main woman«Amy» is rude when she gets an order wrong. She confirmed my order, still got it wrong and then lied about what I ordered when my colleague called after the order arrived. We ordered as we always do for over 4 years and they wanted to argue about how much soy sauce they should send. So after ordering 4 rolls, we’re stuck with a tiny container of soy sauce, not even a few packets and their response is… next time you order we’ll send you soy sauce… Next time… Yeah NOTHAPPENING!!! I think what pissed me off the most is that I order so much from them that the freaking woman knows me by name when I call. And my company has spent so much money with this restaurant and they have the worst attitudes.

A little pricey but such good sushi!!! We got the sushi pizza around $ 14 the sushi sazuki roll around $ 14 too and a spicy salmon roll so our bill was around $ 35 but well worth it! The sushi pizza is like nothing you’ve had before! The liquor store is right across the street perfect for a byob sushi place! Sake :)

Awesome sushi spot! BYOB is also great! Loved their special rolls! The lover roll, Suzuki roll, and volcano rolls were so good! Hibachi dinner was tasty and large portion!

I came back to this place today with the intention of giving them another chance after not coming here for 2 to 3 years due to their horrible service. As much as I’d want to give them a star or two more because their food is average at best, I can’t bring myself to do so because their servers have the most atrocious attitude imaginable. They don’t check up on you during your meal to see if you need anything or if the food is good. They don’t reek you in with a smile and right as I am writing this review, the server is on her personal phone talking like she is on break. I know now not to ever return here and I’ll take myself to empire Asian fusion as their food is much better and their servers are just absolute sweethearts. Please do not come here and be in an atmosphere where you are not wanted or appreciated as a customer. Hmph!

Found my new sushi spot. Have the same as California quality sushi and sashimi. They have uni and quail eggs. 1 star less bc the don’t have oysters.

I’m a very picky sushi eater. This place was mediocre. I still feel like Mr. Pis has the best Philadelphia rolls and I didn’t like that this place had crunchies in theirs. The miso soup was also slightly bland. However it’s really cute inside!

Sushi was very good, but a little on the expensive side. In order for me to leave my current sushi spot, your Unagi has to be a little cheaper. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Luckily, there was only one other small party of 5(otherwise it might have felt cramped). And I hate feeling like I’m dining with the people sitting next to me. It’s BYOB, which is always good. And staff was friendly/attentive. I think the problem(reason why I didn’t give 5 stars) is that the area has so many great sushi places and it didn’t do much to stand out. Maybe if the tables were a little farther apart or maybe if the Unagi and special rolls were a little cheaper(even just by $ 1!)…I can’t quite pin point it. I’ll update my review when/if I revisit.

It’s a dainty restaurant located by a small corner section of Metuchen, it is also very close to the train station. Nice, safe area you can even take a stroll after eating. It’s definitely safe in the evening. If you have infant with stroller like us, you may find private parking in the back of the restaurant. Although it’s free to park in the front during the weekend. The seafood including the sashimi all very fresh. Great customer service, food arrived very quickly, within less than 10 – 15 minutes. Since it’s a small restaurant, the owners and the staff are on their toes, constantly checking and making sure you are happy with your meal.

Ordered for the first time — as delivery. Food came fast and at the right temperature. Nice portions and food is delicious. I will definitely order from them again. Only giving 4 Stars as I have not been there yet to judge the place and wait staff service.

Cam in for lunch. Ordered soup, seaweed salad and yellow tail jalapeño appetizer first. Asked to not have all of them show up at the same time and they did. Appetizer was good but a little warm. Then ordered a couple of rolls and some uni which were good. Staff needs to pay better attention to customer requests.

first, I’m reviewing based on delivery. The sashimi I got was quality and expensive. Salmon for example is one of my favorite sashimi and it’s relatively easy and cheap to buy a good piece of fatty Atlantic salmon at any quality fish market, so I don’t like overpaying for it when I’m ordering a portion of sashimi. Since any establishment can charge whatever they want, I cannot rate them low due to their pricing, so I’ve kept this review at 5 stars because the quality is there. I just can’t frequently order delivery based on pricing. My delivery was $ 36 including tip for party of one. Update… I have been to the place and have since ordered from there for delivery many times, I guess I’m hooked in spite of the price, quality is expensive. I highly recommend the Suzuki Roll.

I’m upping this place from 4 stars to 5, especially for lunch. The combo deals are great at very competitive prices. After ordering takeout from here quite a few times, I found things are very nicely packed and presented, better than any other sushi restaurant in the area. They even give you a cute silver tray to pour the soy sauce on to! The rolls have always been fresh and«plump». The ginger salad dressing is on point, and is always on the side for a to go salad, as it should be. Wish other places placed this much attention to detail! The lunch combo includes miso soup and a side salad with your meal and it makes for a very satisfying deal.

In my experience, the staff at Sushi Suzuki is kind, but not very attentive. I’ve mostly been when it’s not very busy, but I’ve had to bring the check up to the counter because they seemed to have forgotten to get it. The sushi is always lovely looking and fresh. I had the avocado and sweet potato rolls tonight and they were both delicious. The sweet potato roll had sweet potato tempura and it was savory and sweet. The avocado roll was a wonderful texture. The Thai tea is pretty good too. Yum!

Aside from the unfriendly service, the food quality is terrible; the sushi rolls are extremely small, filled with little crab. When I asked why my eel smelled, they argued with me. The kani salad has shredded carrots to substitute crab meat; despicable. I eat sushi all the time, but I will not go back here again. Such a shame.

This is my favorite place in the Metuchen/Edison — and I’ve been to almost every sushi restaurant in the area. The mango-salmon, yellow tail jalapeño, black tuna avocado and spicy salmon rolls are great. The food is always fresh. Prices are very economical — Lunch for two usually costs about $ 30, which is fantastic for sushi. The other non-sushi items on the menu are also very good. The Udon bowls are delicious, and also cheap! This place is BYOB. Can’t complain about that.

I eat here a few times a month and the food is always delicious. The salad dressing! OMG, the SALADDRESSING. I could eat a bowl of it. The peanut avocado roll is from the Heavens. The staff is kind and attentive, BYOB with A&P Liquor less than a block away, AND they deliver. It’s cozy, with a sushi bar if you like watching.
