If you are looking for SOLID underground music and a vibe to boot, look no further. Do Not Sit on the Furniture brings the best underground talent from around the World and people are there to dance. The club is an intimate space for about 100 – 120 people and the sound system is the BEST of all of Miami Beach.

Good luck using your Unilocal offer, they dont give a F. and then the smoke will smother you.

Just go for the fantastic sound and quality of their speakers/equipment. If a club could force you to not sit still and dance, this is it. So much cooler than any other Miami venue. Went to see nick warren here yesterday. Just an amazing experience. The club did justice to his music.

Service was not good and the drinks were weak. Very European, cool to people watch. Good music although all house trance.

Rachel C., you are a terrible bartender. I understand you want male attention but when the place is basically empty and you have two people staring waiting for service, you don’t make eye contact then turn to your receipts to look at your tips that you only made because the customer has to automatically tip. Learn how to pour a 1.5 ounce shot for a mixed cocktail and some customer service skills.

Great if you are specifically looking for deep house music. Small venue. Probably 8 barstools and a back row of comfortable bench seating with sturdy tables. Small dance floor. Great sound — loud but you could still converse. Bass is super deep– chairs vibrating deep. Attentive bar staff. Decent prices for South Beach — 1 round for 4 people was $ 55(counting the included tip). I added $ 20 — the bartender was very friendly. Wasn’t my taste — music was a good fit if I was rolling, but not a good fit for a night on the town.

SO dead at 1am on a Friday night… Maybe the DJ that night wasn’t good? Wasn’t worth the $ 10!

When planning this past weekend with a friend in Miami, I originally intended to go to one of the snooty, stuffed, model & bottle superclubs because I was interested in seeing one of the DJs playing there. However, after catching Dave Seaman at Do Not Sit on Friday night, and having a great night there, we ended up coming back for a second round the following night. And guess what? We had an incredible night again, and I forgot all about my original plans. The focus here is on the music, sound, and atmosphere, and those three elements are delivered flawlessly. The sound is rich and fills the small space evenly. The music was incredible both nights, and judging from the posted schedule, this is not unusual. The room is small and darkened, with just the right amount of light from the interesting fixture(disco shark!) hanging in the middle above the dance floor. The crowd was mature and interesting both nights. We made friends and ended up at afterhours, even met out some of the friendly staff the second night. We also met Behrouz, who was just wandering around, talking to people. The price was right — both nights we paid $ 10 cover, and I assume that there are ways around that if you are a regular. Drinks were fairly priced by South Beach standards, too. This place reminded me of the no-frills, no-bullshit attitude at my favorite home-base club, Output in Brooklyn. I can only hope that more places adopt this mentality, move away from the pretentious nonsense, and focus on what should be important at a nightclub — music and good vibes! Do yourself a favor and stop by Do Not Sit, even if it’s just to pregame. You might end up staying all night… and maybe even all weekend.

I decided to check this place out. Best sound system and techno in SoBe. Dance all night long. The staff is extremely friendly. Own by a famous DJ. On my way back tonight!!!

Located in the former Boom Boom Room and Bella Rose space, Do Not Sit on the Furniture has taken the tiny club, sparsely decorated it, and forced patrons to adhere to its namesake motto. And who has time for sitting, anyway, when there’s so much dancing to be done? Opened in 2013 by San Francisco’s DJ Behrouz, Do Not Sit has proven that South Beach’s club scene is capable of sustaining a venue where bottle service and EDM are nonexistent. From the space ship disco ball to the powerful sound system and the made-for-selfies wall of gold cassette tapes, there’s so much to love about this dance spot.

Cool small club, with a very small capacity of around 120 people. It normally gets packed since they get fantastic talent(the owner himself is one!). The problem is the way the bar is setup and having 2 bartenders you’re fighting crowds to get to the bar, and you have to wait a while to actually get a drink. The staff isn’t too nice, but they do their jobs and the place is normally packed out.

A stones throw from Lincoln Road and Washington Ave, this intimate lounge offers some of the best new house music I have found throughout Miami recently. I came on a Thursday to check out Do Not Sit On The Furniture for the first time and was more than thrilled with my overall experience. When I first arrived i was greeted by the doorman who informed me there was no cover and let me right in, SCORE! There is a cover on most nights as they do seem to bring in up and coming Dj’s but on this night it was resident DJ’s. Upon entering I thought it was strange how at home I felt. The room was broad yet intimate with a max capacity of roughly 125. You will immediately notice the spacesaucer-like light fixture that gives the room a dark red glow, filling the room with just enough light so that you can enjoy your privacy yet not totally fade into the darkness. And the music… Don’t quote me on this but Im almost certain these guys use a speaker system from the prime era of House music in the 90’s. I’ve been to many clubs and lounges throughout Miami but the sound and atmosphere here are built for dancing and letting go. We’ve all heard the highlights and nightmares of nightlife in Miami Beach and this place offers a breath of fresh air. Not that drinks are all that cheap, its a premier location so you will still pay medium to top dollar for essentially common drinks. Bottles here will run you between $ 150 – 200. Lets talk about the name for a moment. Do Not Sit or DNS implies that there IS furniture for you to sit on, but will you even want to sit? What really makes me give this place 5 stars is the layout. Think of a square. Entrance to your back, bar on your left, furniture lining the right and DJ booth directly in your view. Everyone fills the center and really seem to be enjoying themselves. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a load of people coming as strangers and leaving as friends. This is the place where you leave your worries at the door or better yet your car because its all about the music and good vibes here. 5 stars guys great job!

Don’t Sit on the Furniture is a cool, nondescript spot hidden in plain sight on 16th Street near Washington Ave. Reminiscent of The Room, but cranked up to 11, there’s a high bench with some tables, a bar opposite, and a large DJ booth toward the back. They have a full bar too. They play an assortment of electronic music, with room for 2 DJs in the booth. And there’s tons of room for dancing. If you’re into that kind of thing, it’s totally worth it to check out. They do charge a cover(not sure if it’s every night) — $ 10 — but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Also, they allow smoking inside, so be warned.
