Studio

We were in town as tourists looking to be hosted. Wanted to sing. Called Studio twice and friendly greeted and given directions. Showtime 10pm. Courteous and jovial first bartender. Another employee held door open for us on entry. Then the KJ walked in complaining about locked doors, easily heard by us, the customers. That was an omen. Sound system was good. Plenty of video. We were first in bar, and I intro’d myself to KJ and told him I was there to sing. Somehow an Elvis wannabe got to sing 3 songs before me, and left. KJ played two listen-​to songs. 10:20 sang my first song. Then KJ sings, BS’s and plays a few more songs while jaw jacking w a friend. I finally sing a second song at 10:50. Large group comes in, and he still plays listen songs. I came to sing and be served. We took our money and left. KJ blew the night. Get a pro…

Loved the burgers! Rare and juicy! Great service! Went here because it was empty and even though reviews weren’t great we were even more happy when everything was perfect!

I was a big fan of Studio in the basement of the Shelbourne hotel and I’m glad it reopened! It does karaōke until 5am everyday. My friends and I got in there at 3am and the crowd was a bit sparse but people were coming in and out and there was a good energy to the place. The song book was pretty comprehensive and the DJ was friendly and got us in the song rotation no problem. This is a first for me, the DJ only wanted my name first and not the song, so when he called me up I just told him the song and he played it no problem. The layout of the place is nice with couches in the back and stools around the bar. There’s a large open space dance area, which works great. It has a similar feel to Studio a little grungey but a lot of fun. Come here for fun karaōke on south beach if you want good cheap fun

Worst d*mn service ever. I ordered my food before a football game started and after asking over and over, I get half of what I ordered AFTER the halftime show during the start of the 3^rd quarter. I was told that what did come would be comp, but guess what was on the final bill accompanied by more of the same excuses I heard all night. NEVER expect honest service here!
