Would have never guessed it by the lobby or the route to this place but very friendly staff and Great food. I was looking for something simple and none of the other fancy overpriced food found in this town and I sure found it. Great food and good drinks at a fair price!

I absolutely love Mikes, this place has become a regular after work hangout. It’s one of those hidden gems that you either know about, or you don’t…and I’m fortunate to be in the know. It’s a classic Irish style pub hidden on the 9th floor of the Venetian condo building complete with a great outdoor deck overlooking the ever changing Miami skyline, and to sweeten the deal, there’s even a guest pool with patio furniture surrounding it. It’s typical pub style, no frills, no attitude, no problem! They offer a outstanding beer selection on tap and bottle, and their daily specials and happy hour deals are enough to make this place a locals paradise, and that’s exactly what it is. 95% of the guests are locals whom either reside or work in the omni area and were glad there’s a place like this. The staff is fun, bubbly and nice. The food is typical pub fare done well, the food reminds me of a pub back home in the country. Classic home style food that is consistently good and at great value, but the secret is their pizza! They make a great pie. Completely unexpected at first but hands down one of the best I’ve had in Miami. Pizza at a Irish pub you say? Impossible! Don’t let this place fool you. You will be pleasantly surprised. Topped off with a few pool tables in the back, smart phone ready jukebox, and $ 3 valet parking for up to 3 hrs with validation, then only a small $ 1 per hour after that, well my friends you have yourself the ideal local spot to chill and unwind. FYI all beers are only $ 2 on Tuesdays, all day, all night. How freaking good is that! Shhh don’t ruin the secret spot by telling too many out of town guests ;)

The place is actually quite nice to watch football. Cheap deals for the games. However the beer feels watered down. We returned the first pitcher because there was no carbon dioxide in it… Thought it might be the last bit out of the keg or so. Second pitcher the same though… Different beer.

We really enjoyed the the Miami skyline view! The atmosphere was perfect for watching football. Great comfort food and drinks. The pizza was cooked to perfection and the beer cold. If only the Miami Dolphins would have won, the day would have been perfect. Is there any way Mike can fix that? Love the owners and will return!

Cheap food, cheap drinks. Great atmosphere for a dive bar. Good place for locals, since not that many people know about it. Quality of the food and service is average. Reminds me of a Key West bar.

I have been here twice with my buddy Jim and my wife. Each time, my wife and I felt sick the whole next day. It is for that simple reason that I’m not going to eat here anymore. Good americana place but I don’t feel like getting sick anymore.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. I would not have found it if I didn’t look it up on Unilocal first. It’s located on the 9th floor of the Venitia as mentioned in it’s name. The place is quite old and seems like it’s been there for a while, but it does have a nice view of the Miami skyline! Only thing, you need to get through the pool to get the best view. And it’s closed off, you have to watch the skyline behind the fence. The food here ain’t bad either! It has your standard American food(e.g. burgers, sandwiches, pizza). My friend and I ordered a 14″ pizza to share since we weren’t that hungry. We wanted to try different flavors so we asked for half Hawaiian and half vegetarian. The only«bad» thing I have to say is that it was a little watery, probably from the cooked vegetables. Our server was a kind old man that was really attentive and kept stopping by to check up on us! I’m sorry that I didn’t get his name! Suggestion: place could use some remodeling as well as the pool area.

I’m giving 4 stars because the service was so great. We had David as our server & he was excellent! The food & atmosphere are what you would expect from a sports bar. Nothing was exceptional except the service. We are staying at the Marriott next door so this place was within walking distance. Very laid back.

Spent the whole weekend at this place. No lie. Was there from noon until 7pm on Saturday the 26th. Then back from 9pm til 1am. Went back Sunday morning for a pitcher of beer before watching the Bills trounce the Dolphins. Then went back after the game. I’ve been stroking!

Mike’s is great if you want to have a drink. They have a pretty extensive beer selection. I wouldn’t come here specifically for food. Ive had the grilled pork chops and grilled chicken fajitas which were decent for the price. I guess you could say the food is on the better end of the«bar food» spectrum. As for the ambience, this place is a step above a dive bar. Good place to grab a drink with buddies. Not an option if your looking to take a date.

I went to Mike’s at Venetia for drinks while in Miami. My hotel in Biscayne Bay was close, so we walked over. Guest catch an elevator to the 9th floor. The bar area was dim with pool tables. Drink prices were reasonable. I didn’t eat any food here. There are some televisions, if you’re looking to watch sports. The ambience and service was average. Guest get a nice view of Biscayne Bay. I expected more since rating was so high. I give Mike’s at Venetia a solid 3 rating«A-ok».

A secret hideaway in the sky. The restaurant is located in the 9th floor and has good food for good prices. All American Bar Food. That’s what this place is all about. The cool part is that you spend your lunch looking at the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay, while sitting next to the pool. There’s an inside too. It’s dark and feels like a true Sports Bar. Good to bring anyone that likes the smokey wood paneled bar scene. Friendly staff — don’t go there if you are in a rush… Service is at a more leisurely pace. It’s a good vibe.

I like this place. It definitely doesn’t have the Miami vibe(i.e. douchey). Very laid back hole-in-the-wall type vibe. Not the cleanest, most friendliest place in the world… it seems like a lot of residents come here and want to know what the hell you’re doing in their bar lol. But overall it’s a great hidden gem to get away from it all. Oh and how I could I forget the amazing view! Without the Brickell or South Beach prices!

Terrible place. It’s dirty and old. Everything taste like they have never changed the oil in their fryer. Staff is friendly except his owner very rude, awful attitude and racist. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Don’t waste your money here. Worthless

Drinks were good, pizza was good, chicken tenders not so good. They seemed like it came out of a Sam’s Club Tyson’s chicken bag. None-the-less, the Bartender, Eric, was hilarious. I suggest asking for him to make your drinks or to tend/serve you and your party. The view was awesome too! You can see the Miami Skyline from the 9th floor.

Cool bar inside the Venetia building. Laid back atmosphere, lots of locals, good for game watching and to throw back a few beers. Parking can be tricky but not impossible to find. The staff is nice and courteous… food is a hit or miss. I tried their grilled cheese sandwich and hummus. Both were ok dishes. Good option for the area.

Oy vei. This place was a disaster. I went with some out of towners because they wanted to go somewhere with a rooftop view. I had never been here before but the reviews on Unilocal seemed ok so we decided to go for it, as it was only a short walk from the apartment. First of all, to sit down, you’re gonna have to cover your ears. The metal chairs are so heavy you can’t really lift them up, you have to drag them and boy do they make a scene. By the time I got up, I just squeezed between the chair and the table to avoid hearing those chairs again. Shortly after we sat down, a group of people sit down at the table next to us and spend the whole time chain smoking. A few minutes later, a couple sits in front of us and start smoking as well. Did not enjoy my meal very much. Ordered potato skins and they arrived cold and hard to chew. Fries were thin and over fried, they all tasted like the little pieces you find at the bottom of the box at McDonalds. Grilled chicken sandwich was ok, I actually enjoyed that. Waitress was nice and very patient, considering there was nothing on the menu that seemed too appetizing and it took us a while to make up our minds and order. Lastly, the main reason we chose this place was for the view. So to our surprise, when we went to the pool area to take a peek, it was chained and locked. No pool view access. Our only view was tip-toeing over the bushes to try to see something. Take away message: Not a good place for dinner or for out of towners.

I LIKEMIKE’S. It feels like a neighborhood dive bar! But it’s located on the 9th floor of the Venetia? So, maybe it’s more like the mandatory Irish pub you can always find within walking distance of the train station when you’re traveling abroad? It’s got the friendly folks, the low prices, and the bar food that make you feel like you’re back in the States even when you’re in Kathmandu, or say, downtown Miami. But it’s a cut above the average dive bar. We sat outside on the patio enjoying the sunshine and the breeze. There’s even a swimming pool! There were plenty of TVs to catch the afternoon football games, which made it easy to overlook the fact that the furnishings were not exactly swanky. It’s a paper napkins, ketchup bottles on the table kinda place. The very best thing about Mike’s was the staff. They were happy to be there and they seem to like each other and their customers! Maybe I’ve been in Miami too long. I’m accustomed to servers who suffer from that caustic mix of affluenza and insecurity; that, «I’m not really supposed to be here,» vibe. But at Mike’s there was no sign of this affliction. They greeted the regulars with real warmth and affection. And as we were getting ready to go, the guy taking care of us said, «We’re having a party tonight with a band. You guys should come back.» And he meant it! Like, with true friendliness and hospitality. It wasn’t the robotic, «Please come again,» without any eye contact that you get upon exiting most dining establishment in this city. So refreshing! The beer, the breeze, the attitude – everything!
