A very convenient location to eat and be on time for the show you chose for that night. You prepay but be prepared to be charged extras for some items that are not included. Fast food with white tablecloth. The menu defines the food in ways they heighten your expectations and sets you up for some disappointment. The service is full of great intentions and falls short. Must say that the sea bass that I had was cooked to perfection and served over a watery risotto instead of the polenta that I was told came with it… And so on.

Pleasant staff. The compulsory service charge is inappropriate, it’s not South Beach but a symphony hall venue. Hate to see Chilean Sea Bass on the menu, use locally abundant fish instead.

Service is worse than the food which is worse than the service. What a shame. Barton G had a better kitchen but some who didn’t make it. The ambiance is nice and elegant enough pre opera or ballet. The staff is amicable but are clueless in a series of mishaps that run the gamut of possible blunders. Unexciting and bleh

«Beware: they charge in full at time of reservation, with no refunds given» Nice place with reasonable food, very convenient before a show. But be forewarned:(1) They charge in full when you make your reservation. This may be months in advance, when you’re buying theater tickets.(2) If someone in your party can’t make it, they won’t give a refund, even if you notify them in advance. On a recent visit, 2 people in my party couldn’t come due to illness. I called and was told there is a no-refund policy. That night, after I mentioned this to my server, the manager came to my table and said a refund should be possible; he gave me his business card and said he would take care of it. Weeks later, no refund, and he has ignored my emails and voicemail. Shame on you!

My husband and I had dinner here prior to a show. The food was fair… Appetizers included(shrimp bisque and salad) entrée… Paella and vegetable pastry) both good. Fixed price $ 49 per. What blew us out of the water was the $ 20 charge for each drink ordered from their cocktail menu– one Manhattan and one vodka martini. So our final bill was double. For warned is for armed.

Very convenient and entrees were good, but very overpriced and slow. Service started out great but as it got busy it got worse. Cocktails weren’t made properly, house wine was gross. We didn’t have time for dessert because entrees took so long. Definitely not worth the money for dinner. Also was very dark if you didn’t have lamp on table which we did not and tables were so close there was no privacy. We heard the entire conversation of the folks next to us. Chilean sea bass was good but I thought short ribs were a little tough. Charged us $ 12 for sparkling water. Wish it was better because love the concept of pre-show dining. Should follow the Miami spice concept, cheaper and include dessert, and be prepared with enough staff to handle pre– show crowds.

The location is great if you want to see a show. The food is very good. The service is horrible. My wife and I ate there twice and both times we had to complain to get our food out in order to catch the start of the show. It wasn’t just us. Many couples had the same issue. It is a shame since the food really is good. I had the short rib and the snapper. Both were very good. My wife had the sea bass and the paella and loved them both. I just don’t understand how the service is so bad in a place that is designed to get you out on time and can’t. The servers all seemed lost.

Came here for pre-show dinner. The price is $ 49 and that includes tax and 18%gratuity charge(Thank God for that!). This price includes an appetizer and entrée only. Although the food was flavorful, the portions are meager to say the least. For the price it is definitely not worth it, unless your on a diet that is. Also, the waiters and staff were very friendly but once the restaurant became full the service suffered. We had to wait a long time to get anything we ordered. I gave this restaurant 2 stars and mostly for the décor and ambience. I’ll make sure to hit up Brickell or Midtown for pre-show dinner next time.

Fantastic for brunchies! Love all the variety you get at such an inexpensive price! The service was so good also… a rarity. My favs were the mac-n-cheese with beef and the cinnamon waffles! You can choose between 4 waffle flavors and he will make all 4 in 1 waffle and there’s a ton of toppings to choose from… to die for! Def one of my fav brunch spots for Saturday & Sunday in the area!

So BRAVA! invited me to bring three guests to brunch! Of course, I Unilocaled BRAVA! and responded in the affirmative. Three of my most critical foodie friends scrambled their schedules and confirmed our reservation! All of us have attended performances at Arsht Center; never dined at BRAVA! 3 out of 4 of us are directionally challenged. With staff support, three of us arrived a few moments late but were immediately seated. Gabby, manager, led us to our table and explained the brunch menu and drink options. Our waitress offered three water selections and addressed additional questions before we started our buffet run. Two of us ordered bottomless brunch drinks(20.00). They enjoyed!!! There was a large variety of breakfast and lunch entrees and side dishes. I enjoyed my all white vegetable and shrimp omelette. The fruit was seasonal and delicious. The single item that will make me return is the WAFFLE! I like it when the waffle is flavorful before I add my toppings. This beautiful vanilla waffle was so good that I only added toppings on half(maple syrup, dollop of whipped cream and fresh, yummy berries)…the second half was buttery, rich and delicious with no toppings! Perfect! We had a few minor mix-ups…a dirty water cup, something floating in our coffee creamer pitcher and my initial waffle was sent to another table(and they ate it!) …thankfully, waitress was attentive and apologetic and quickly addressed issues… and we enjoyed our brunch immensely. We will definitely return, pick up a few gift cards for my friends that brunch and catch a show! Thanks BRAVA! See you soon. #qualitycounts

Fantastic brunch!!! I’ve never seen so many toppings for waffles or even heard of red velvet waffles before today. Yum. My favorite items were the mushroom risotto(served with duck), ham, and eggs Benedict. The service was upscale, very attentive, yet really friendly. The host and hostess were helpful and smiling. And our server Lara took great care of us. We’ll definitely return. Oh, for $ 36 including taxes and tip, the price was great. And we added the $ 20 surplus for drinks(Bloody Mary’s, Bellini’s, etc.)

Wonderful brunch experience!!! Came by with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing! I found out about the brunch through a FB post and couldn’t be happier. There were so many options for the breakfast or luck lovers, whatever you like. The paella was great and potatoes too! The waffle station was so great! So many options and the staff was so great. Plenty of fruit, cheese, and desserts. The staff was phenomenal– from the hostess to all of the waiters as waitresses. Towards the end of our meal, the Executive Chef Hector Torres, came out to introduce himself and show his appreciation for us supporting the brunch. He’s from Caguas, Puerto Rico(whoop whoop) and cooks international cuisine. So many great things happening in the future for Brava. The location is beautiful and perfect for private events! I can’t wait to visit again!

I went here for brunch before the two o’clock matinée for sister act and honestly had a very pleasant experience. The breakfast is set up in a buffet style. It had variety including chicken tortellini, veal, eggs Benedict, and waffles or omelets available for order. They also had a dessert table with muffins and fruit and other sweets. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every bit of it. It also came with a complimentary mimosa or Bloody Mary, I personally did not have one. My favorite part of the meal was the eggs Benedict. It was made with salmon and on a different kind of bread as opposed to the standard English muffin. The service was also very attentive. I had an overall great experience and it was very convenient.

Went to see Wicked tonight and decided to check out Brava. While it is a very convenient option to go to if seeing a show, the food was just ok and service was pretty bad. Not sure if it was because it is a prefix meal and you pay when the reservation is made(gratuity included)… or what. Our server told us that the vodka may have been 86’d…not sure if that is even possible. Then the table next to us had an issue with their bill and instead of excusing himself to get a manager, he argued with the guest at the table. Then we saw one of the bar staff crawling on the floor to get from behind the bar and then proceeded to throw something up in the air… maybe a lemon and was playing with it in the middle of the restaurant. For an upscale dining restaurant, definitely more training is needed for the staff. Some were more professional than others but for the money you are paying, professionalism is expected. Woosah… but now for the food. To start you are brought bread and butter/cheese. Which were pretty good but not explained to us. Wish i knew what they were because they were pretty good. For the meals we went with the below.
–Cuban Style Wedge Salad:
(Baby Iceberg Wedge, Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese, Shaved Onions, Tomatoes, Bacon, Florida Citrus Vinaigrette) its a wedge salad with a little twist, i enjoyed the vinaigrette and the candied bacon
–Empanada Pescada:
(White Fish, Shrimp, Scallop and Olive Blend Empanada, Lime Beurre Blanc, Caper Berries) the Empanada was a good starter, this had good flavors. –Short Ribs: (Brown Sugar and Rum Cured Short Rib, Bacardi Oakheart Demi--Glacé, Boniato Purée, Shaved Asparagus with Toasted Orange Peel) this dish had good flavors and i enjoyed the toasted orange peels, unfortunately it didn’t make it to our table hot or even warm… disappointing. The portion size was actually big enough to split.
–Pan Seared Yellowtail Snapper Saffron:
(Tropical Mango Relish, Haricots Verts, with Coconut Scented Jasmine Rice, Saffron Mango Beurre Blanc) the fish was cooked well and i liked the relish that came with it but i wish i was able to taste the coconut in the rice. –Raspberry cheesecake– basic cheesecake, nothing spectacular. Probably pre-made, came with a drizzle of raspberry purée and whip cream. –Berries and cream– a mixture of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberry with whip cream I know that this is a pretty new restaurant so i think that if/when they get things under wraps, it would have a better flow. Tonight our food took some time to come out, even the desserts which we had to ask for a couple of times. Overall i think that its a decent price to get a 3 course meal and for the convenience of being able to eat in the theater. The food wasn’t mind blowing but good. The restaurant itself was nice and modern.

Got there at 6 pm for an 8 pm show… figured we would have more than enough time — but we were scrambling to make it to the show on time… The food was good but took an inordinate amount of time to come out —and every course one member of our tables food was forgotten, adding another 5 – 10 minutes of wait time… Kind of crazy, got our desert at 7:45 pm… Just kind of absurd.

NPS = 10 Service, service, service! We showed up to BRAVA! with only 45 minutes before our show. BRAVA! said not to worry so we trusted them. And they delivered. We sat at the bar and asked for the a la carte menu. The food was out in less than 10 minutes and we were able to enjoy our food right before our performance. Not only was our service on point, our bartender treated us to a glass of champagne just because and a nice glass of Grand Marnier after our dinner. I wish I remembered the gentleman’s name that treated us so well. The beef sliders are tasty and they get to the point. Also, order the artichoke/spinach dip if you want a delicious dip for fries/bread. If you have a show to watch and are pressed for time, rest assured BRAVA! will take care of you.

Definitely a convenient option if you’re opting to spend a little more than usual and be in-house for your performance, but is it worth it? Meh. At $ 49 per person, I could’ve probably enjoyed a more memorable meal somewhere else. I started off with the Strawberry Fields Salad– but it’s a tiny portion and you probably get about 5 walnuts so I wasn’t impressed with course #uno. For the main dish, I preferred the way the snapper was prepared and chose to switch it up and order the Grilled Salmon with the mango relish and coconut scented jasmine rice that usually gets paired with the snapper. Not sure if that idea was a total fail because it all sounded much more impressive that it tasted for me. The flavors didn’t burst out and I felt the main dish in general was bland and not as flavorful. Dessert was flan but with an orange zesty flair and again; not impressed. Waiter was honest and would offer suggestions on menu, but many of the items he’d say were unpopular or «not that good» so the experience overall felt exactly like the sad fish on my plate. A few positives: The restaurant has nice décor, nice lighting, nice ambience, nice service… but other than it all being nice– there was nothing WOW for me and to make matters worse… I was hungry shortly after. So apart from being an unexceptional meal, it was also not much of a hearty one for me which is enough for me to know it’s not my favorite option to choose from before a show.

Located inside the Ziff Ballet Opera House, BRAVA! is a satisfying pick for a pre-show meal. After first dining here for a media preview, I was impressed and decided to book a table before I saw Beauty & The Beast on my birthday. BRAVA! offers a pre-fixe menu for $ 49 which includes tax and tip. You can add dining to your order online beforehand so that you are already paid and accounted for before the show. They even will have a name card waiting for you at the table which is a nice touch. Once seated, we chose a bottle of wine from the large wine list and paid for that separately after the fact. Before diving into your main meal, you’re offered a «tapas platter» of cheese, meats, hummus, breads and olives, which is definitely better than a normal bread basket. For our first course, we tried the avocado and tomato salad and the fish empanada. The empanada is great for a seafood lover, while the salad is satisfying if you’re looking for something a little lighter. For the mains, I chose the salmon over creamy polenta with mango relish, while my boyfriend went with the short ribs. On my previous visit, I had the filet mignon which was great but they are now charging extra for it. Could be worth it if you are really in the mood for steak, but the other included options hit the spot as well. For dessert, they offer a variety of mini-shooters that are the perfect sweet bite ranging from chocolate toffee brownie to key lime crème bruleé. They also have larger sweet offerings for an additional price. On this particular night, they were trying out a new dessert of ice creams in green tea cones that were pretty good. Service was very friendly with multiple people checking on us throughout our meal. Since it’s affiliated with the theatre, you’re guaranteed to be in and out before showtime. When all is said and done, the bill can add up with the addition of drinks, but it’s a nice experience that’s worthy of a splurge night(and especially a birthday). All in all, there aren’t a ton of eateries in close proximity to the Arsht Center so it’s nice to have an option like BRAVA! to check out before a show.
