their staff is so helpful! They are always busy, but still make the time to bend over backward helping me, and are very knowledgeable about bike repair and accessories like bike racks, things to hold my cellphone, etc. they even called Thule directly for me, which meant being on hold, just to get a straight answer about a bike rack fit for my car. Will being my electric bike to these guys as long as I live in Newport

Pedal Power is my go-to bike shop on Aquidneck Island. Not only did the folks there give me a great deal on a new bike, they’ve also sold me various accessories for less than I would have paid on Amazon. All that, plus they’ve never tried to upsell me.
Clearly, Pedal Power has broken the code: great prices + great customer service = return business.

I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon in July during a biking vacation with an ailing bike. In less than 10 minutes (and without charging me a cent) Pedal Power’s tech had my brakes balanced (and tires topped off). We of course bought some accessories (of which they have an excellent selection). I will be back and would trust these people with any kind of bike repair… they know their business!

Very helpful staff for any needs. They can fix things and trouble shoot to get you on the road.
I recently upgraded to a nice carbon frame bike. They really took the time to get me the right fit and scored me a great deal on last years model. The follow up service was great as well.

Great bike shop — small, with a nasty strip mall location — but they have a good selection of bikes and really helpful staff. I had been looking at shops all over the area and Pedal Power was one of the best. Specifically, they had the bike I was looking for (a Surly) and they helped me get exactly the right fit. Then they helped me customize the bike with just the features I wanted. The staff is helpful, trustworthy and resourceful.
A couple years ago I was looking for a Thule rack for my nearly 20-year-old Nissan. Nobody had the right fittings. But Pedal Power did — they dug around in their stockroom and found the right parts.
If you’re in the market for a bike or accessories, this is your go-to shop.

Took in my Schwinn S96 for a tune after being crated for 9 months. I’m not the best maintainer and time was a premium since I use the bike to commute, so PP got the nod. Wow — exceptional level of detail & cleaning. This bike is going on 14yrs now and has been in cities and on trails across 2 continents. Rides like new. Great service from these folks — recommended.

The bike guys at this place are always helpful. Plus they are knowledgeable mechanics and know precisely what they are doing. The shop is not within bike riding distance for me but I will definitely patronize this shop despite the minor inconvenience of having to transport my bike in the car. EXCELLENT SERVICE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, HIGHLY COMPETENT AND FAIR.

I may have shopped this store on a bad day. There was very limited inventory. The inventory that was in stock consisted of mid-grade to low end bikes greatly overpriced when compared to better hardware and equipment found elsewhere. The sales staff seemed disinterested in finding a product or solution for me and generally lacking in knowledge about bike options outside of the handful of models on their floor. There are far better bike shops in the area.

I own about $ 10K in bicycles. This shop is quaint and the selection is limited, however, the owner will bend over backward to help you and/or get what you need if he does not stock it. I am ALWAYS impressed by the customer service here and how well they treat you. Additionally, I totally trust them to work on my bikes. This is truly a great LBS (local bike shop for your non-biking folks). The atmosphere is small-town and homey. This is my favorite bike shop in town and I will continue to go here to help keep them in business. I would give the place of 5, but I have to be realistic, coming from California where they have amazing bike shops, this place is pretty small. However, the owner makes up for it in heart.
