We’ve had a solid food here every time. It’s not anything amazing, but it’s satisfying.

Not impressed… first and last visit. Ribs were dry and cold as was the steer filet. Huge disappointment.

Yep – just as others say, this is a classic supper club. I went there with two other couples after having just attended a showing of the documentary recently done on Wisconsin clubs. Fascinating story about them and I just had to go to an authentic one right here in MKE. Friday night fish fry with a old fashion. Yum. And the fish was pan fried perch! You’ll experience that throwback period in time when you sit in the dining room and there is a big portrait of Ma on the wall – watching you eat. Tables are easily put together for large groups, if needed. The wait staff are very friendly – and I’m guessing that they’ve worked there a long, long time. Seems like a family staff. The food isn’t amazing, but the atmosphere is classic and well worth the experience. We’ll be back, for sure.

Another East side Gem. Hands down the best ribs and steaks! I actually love the old time décor… A place where when you walk in the door, you are part of the family.

Great comfort food and quick service! I love coming here, and having the Sicilian steak sandwich. I also loveeeee the key lime pie ;)

I’m flabbergasted by all of the good reviews for this place — all I can think is that people are willing to overlook disappointing food for the sake of a kitschy atmosphere. The sauce on the ribs was nearly the same cocktail sauce for the shrimp — both were about 80% ketchup. The ribs were dry and gray, and that’s supposed to be a specialty. The hash browns were mush on a plate. I don’t usually expect much from hash browns, but that was supposed to be another house specialty. And the meal was wayyyyyy overpriced compared to the low quality, creativity and portion sizes. I really want to give this place a food makeover, because I love the décor, the bar, the servers. I can’t believe this place can stay in business at these prices for this food in this neighborhood.

This place reminds me of a supper club in Northern WI. Huge portions, friendly staff, and great hand stirred grasshoppers for dessert. We had the fish fry, ribs, and Sicilian steak and all were great.

Old school supper club vibe with excellent cocktails, delicious food, and great prices. I had a T-bone cooked rare with the baked potato. It may have been the best steak I’ve had in a great while. The meat was fantastic, the seasoning was spot-on, and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the world famous ribs and had nothing but marvelous things to say about them. He had two Old Fashioneds and I had two Cosmos.

My boyfriend, his childhood friend and I randomly went to dinner last night at Pitch’s. We were planning to eat somewhere else but the wait was too long. After walking past, said friend(who just moved to Milwaukee) said«What’s this place?!». We both had never been so we decided to pop in. The minute we started walking up the short stairs towards the bar, the friend said«I think I need to have a martini with my dinner. This place is great.» And I said, «I’m half expecting Don Draper to walk in». Anyway, there were a few older peeps sitting at the bar and the bartender asked if we were there for dinner. He walked us back to the dining area which like all of the reviewers have said, is very outdated and feels like you’re in your grandparents house. It’s pretty great. I honestly didn’t observe a lot of the décor details but I’m sure there are some tacky and great things to be seen. You can tell this is a place that people come back to as regulars(dare I say OLDER people) maybe even multiple days a week. There was an older group of people at a table near us who got there before us and were still eating their meals as we left. It’s a cozy kind of place that people feel welcome at. On to the menu. I’m vegetarian but do eat fish sometimes. To my delight they had a veggie burger but I didn’t really get the feeling it would be good. I chose the Sicilian breaded fish sandwich with hash browns(our waitress insisted we all have the browns). The boys had the ribs and shrimp with side salads. Overall the food was okay but not the best thing ever. The fish on my sandwich was way too big for the bun so it ended up crumbling apart as I tried to eat it. The flavor was fine but it was just too messy. The browns were good and greasy, crisp on the edges but more soggy in the center. They enjoyed their ribs and shrimp. Our server was funny and nice, she had that«I’ve been working here forever attitude» which is sometimes just what you need. I think my meal was decently priced at around $ 10 but the ribs they got were $ 23 each plate which I thought was a bit pricey for a ¼ rack of ribs and a few shrimp. But hey, I don’t know what ribs will run ya these days either. I would go back but not very often. I might actually sit at the bar next time to grab a cocktail and take in the locals. It’s a gem of a place and I’m glad it’s been around for so long.

Rumaki. Need I say more. I love this place. The fact that an old school supper club still exists in Milwaukee is amazing to me. Love walking in and feeling like I’ve stepped back into my childhood. It’s a lot like going to Caterina’s. This place is famous for their ribs which I didn’t care for at all. Also their hash browns which I just don’t understand. How is that a thing? Their specials are great. They do a 20% entire bill one night that’s pretty sweet. The service is typically pretty good. Try it out. It’s not for everyone. Don’t forget to order some rumaki!!!

Classic Milwaukee supper club! The décor is old(and some of it cheesy)… as most of the inside is. There is a picture of «grandma» above the fireplace. And, I’m fairly certain they have holiday lights on the inside all year round. But, I am A-OK with all of that. I mean, it’s classic supper club. And, a perfect spot to take the grandparents. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. And, the food is very good. Their specialty is the ribs — and I can understand why. Very tasty! With your meal, you get a choice of soup or salad, bread and a side with your meal. You get plenty of food with your meal. I will definitely be going back there. I’m anxious to try more items on their menu!

I don’t get why this place is getting such great reviews. Tried their ribs tonight which is supposedly one of their best dishes. The bbq sauce tasted and looked like ketchup. It was bizarre. Who does that? The ribs themselves weren’t that great. Also had their pan fried perch. It came out sopping wet on a bed of lettuce. It tasted sour and was inedible. The fried eggplant is bland beyond belief and the marinara they serve with it tastes like it came out of the cheapest can they could find. The atmosphere was comical and the server joked with me about how bad the food was. And to top it off this was like a $ 50 dinner. Never again.
