Late morning brunch on the patio. Minus a mimosa, I couldn’t ask for anything more! The outside portion of the café is toasty. There’s a transparent covering to block the wind and heat lamps near every table. Love the relaxed environment. Food here is good and satisfies my breakfast indecisiveness. The food is «good» because the ingredients are fresh and cooked correctly. However, you won’t find millionaire bacon or challah bread French toast. It’s only half a notch above Denny’s/IHOP. The price reflects the quality of the dishes. Don’t order anything complicated and you’ll be satisfied. I ordered a cinnamon French toast with eggs and sausage. Love that the combos mix sweet and savory options together! Most places require you to order sweet dishes, like pancakes, on the side. A silly plus, but something I personally appreciate. Service is sassy. The waitress was friendly and handed the bill directly to my boyfriend. I visited around 10am on a Saturday and waited 15 mins. The line moves fast so don’t be deterred by the full parking lot!

Always a solid breakfast place. Love the energy and if you’re dining solo, grab a seat at the counter and bypass the line. Always an attentive staff and a great menu. Endulge in breakfast or lunch, both are great!

This is one of our favorite cafes to go to to have breakfast for lunch. They have just about everything! We recommend the following: ~Chicken and Waffles(chicken is crispy and moist and my 4 year old naw down to the bones) ~French Toast(yummers but stick it the original as that’s the best and we’ve tried stuffed Cream Cheese and Cinnamon) ~California omelet(always good) ~Kimchi fries are delicious with a sunny side up fried egg on top ~Kimchi burger for the same reason ~Banana & Strawberry crêpe One complaint would be that their Biscuits to my surprise aren’t that good. KFC and Popeyes biscuits are better. However, the Ladies = Service are what stands out about this place. They are very friendly and hospitable. They make a genuine effort to get to know you. If you are passing by, stop by but they close at 3pm. Sunday’s are their busiest.

they say never judge a book by its cover. i was totally guilty of judging nano café by its outside run down appearance. as it’s been on my bookmark for the longest but i never made much effort to come. boy was i wrong, i would definitely come back and try their other entrees. ordered: *truffle parmesan fries-pretty addicting! i couldn’t stop eating those suckers! i would totally recommend ordering these if you’re a fry fan. you totally won’t regret it! *egg benedict– i paid extra for fresh fruits as i didn’t want hash browns or home style fries. it was totally worth it as they really give you high quality fresh fruits. definitely not like all of the other typical places you go to when you ask for fresh fruit. the egg benedict was okay. not the best i’ve had. there was a hint of citrus taste which made it taste good but definitely nothing like foxy’s in glendale if you are a egg benedict fan. i definitely had to sprinkle a hefty amount of tabasco sauce. service was great! our waitress was very attentive and nice. food portion size was a generous amount. prices were very fair and they have a good amount of food options to choose from. definitely like a mini denny’s. try to come really early or after breakfast time as nano café does get pretty busy/packed to avoid a wait. tips: *small private parking lot *cash and credit card accepted *indoor and outdoor seating available. *doors and entrance is wheelchair friendly. *they close early.

This place is a cute mom and pop joint. It’s evident it’s owned by a family. They make it work though! It has a diner vibe right when you walk in. The décor and seating reminded me a little of Denny’s, except smaller and a little classier. My friend and I did a hike near by and we wanted brunch after. This place seemed yummy on Unilocal so we decided to try it. It WAS yummy! We sat on the patio and it was super cute! And the heaters were on so that’s always a plus on these colder days. I got the breakfast burrito with hash browns($ 9.99) and my friend got the eggs Benedict with salmon with hash browns($ 11.99). Both of our meals were deeeelish! The portions were huge! My only complaint would be of the service. It was s little slow. And also, when I’m confused as to what to order, I have a habit of asking what the waiter would recommend between two dishes. When I asked the waitress, she was a little rude and kind of just made the decision for me. I didn’t like that. The rest of the staff, however, were really nice and friendly. They have their own parking lot but it’s a little small so not sure what happens during rush hour. We came on a Sunday around 1 pm and didn’t have to wait for a table so that was nice. I’d for sure visit again if I was ever in the area! Oh and also, they only have one bathroom! Lines can get a little long: /

Good 4GLTE internet service. This is of the diner Genre, so the inside is wood paneling, 1980s tile, and they have a breakfast bar with stools. Friendly and attentive service. Intimate setting(small floor space)

Came here for breakfast and it was packed on a Sat. Morning. The wait was about 10 – 15 min which wasn’t too bad. We were seated in the patio, which seats a lot of tables and easier for those with strollers. This restaurant is not really baby friendly. Walkways are narrow and tables are close to each other. The service deserves 5 stars because these ladies are on top of it! The food is a solid 4 stars. I wouldn’t trek over to Monrovia for this breakfast place but if I were in the area, I would come back.

Came on Thanksgiving. This is a happening place. It looks like a popular place among the locals. The help is friendly and treat you as family. For a small café they have a patio and serve lattes. We had he smoked salmon Benedict along with a cinnamon roll and fresh fruit. That was more than enough to keep is full until our thanksgiving dinner. The cinnamon roll was still soft and had a nice cinnamon taste. The smoked salmon Benedict was good but would have preferred the lox style salmon. The fresh fruit plate had a nice presentation with tasty fruit. The menu had nice pictures for many items. If you want a nice breakfast give them a try.

I used to come here every week for brunch because it is the best brunch place around. The lady who runs this place is so sweet and makes sure that everything is perfect. This place is usually crowded every day and there is a reason why. EVERYTHING on the menu is great. I’ve tried so many different items on the menu and I have yet to find an item that isn’t great. This place caters to all as it serves breakfast items, pasta, lunch items and even steak! The Eggs Benedict here is one of the best around and I also love getting the omelettes. I know they have a few locations around under different names, but the menu is the same but this place is the best of them all.

I LOVE Eggs Benedict! Nearly 90% of the time when I go out for breakfast I order Eggs Benedict if it is on the menu. About 75% there is something wrong with it. The hollandaise sauce is runny, clumpy or the eggs are not runny, but soft boiled yolks. Also, sometimes the muffin is stale or not toasted and buttered, or even the ham is hard and cold. Eggs Benedict takes skill and perfect timing to get right. Thankfully, I have found my Eggs Benny home! Nano Café served up the most on point Eggs Benedict I have had in ages. The egg yolks were runny, the ham was hot, and the muffins were soft and chewy to absorb all of that delish lemony hollandaise sauce. Yes! I love that they use real lemons in their hollandaise. It was soooo perfect! I also had the pancakes, waffles, and bacon… huge portion sizes! No wonder why this place is packed out! It is officially my new favorite breakfast place in the SGV!

So I was Unilocaling breakfast spots this morning… as I usually do on a Sunday morning. This place has been on my bookmarks for months so I decided to give it a try. I got here around 9 this morning and it was already busy. I waited about 5 minutes. Not bad however when I left, there were about 15 people waiting outside. Good thing we got there early. Inside looks like an Asian Café/Mom Pop Restaurant but with American Food on the menu. The Asian ladies in here are very nice. I ordered ½ plate of chicken & waffles. It came with 4 small pieces of chicken and a big waffle. Don’t let the small pieces fool you. It is filling. I didn’t even eat half of my waffle. I checked the menu and they did not have a kid’s menu so I had to order an adult size plate for my Daughter. Our bill was $ 31.57 including coffee and orange juice. I thought it was a little on the expensive side only because I’m use to ordering from a kid’s menu and my Daughter barely ate a quarter of her plate here. The chicken was tasty. The seasoning on the skin was on point. It came with a side of gravy which was perfect to dip my chicken in. The chicken pieces consist of a wing, a small thigh, a small breast, & another piece I couldn’t make out. The waffle was ok. My Daughter’s plate had 2 fluffy pancakes, 4 bacon, &2 scrambled eggs. Way too much for a 5 year old but what could I do? We could have shared but we wanted 2 different things. I didn’t try her plate so I couldn’t tell you how it tasted. Inside was a little on the older side. It definitely needs an upgrade. The leather seating in the booth was ripped and cracked. My Daughter didn’t want to sit on it because it looked dirty lol. I don’t know if I ordered the wrong thing but I was not really feeling my breakfast like I wanted. Yeah the chicken was good but nothing with a wow factor. I think KFC chicken is good as well so it was on the same level. I wasn’t completely satisfied and it might have to do with all the flies trying to attack my food. I hate flies and I find them completely disgusting. They have a patio and the door stays open so I think the flies are coming from there. I was sort of rushing to finish before the flies land on my food. So it was annoying trying shoo them away the whole time. I over heard the table next to me and they made a comment about all the flies as well. Also not sure if they have a/c in there. It was pretty hot in there for 9 in the morning. Our server was Nanette. I thought she was really nice and she kept checking on us. The stars are more for her but sorry to say… I will not be returning to Nano.

Great Diner food for breakfast! Came out here from a decent drive from Pasadena just to try this place– and it was worth it! I tried their popular Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which was amazing! It wasn’t too sweet(like the Reyn’s in Pasadena) yet still had a nice strong flavor. I also really liked their Salmon Bennedict was also pretty delicious as well, nothing super standout about it, but well cooked and tasty. My friend also liked their corn beef hash. Their Monte Cristo is a bummer though. It has a very high bread to inside ratio and also no special flavors or melty cheese. Overall a must come to– especially for their French Toast!

This place was full on a Friday morning 10:30am for brunch. Everything was delicious except the garlic Parmesan fries which had RAW minced garlic which made it way too spicy for my toddler to eat and gave everybody stinky raw garlic breath after eating. Now that you have that wonderful image in your head let’s move on to the good part. The 3 servers on duty was one Asian girl with blue circle lens she was straight to the point and attentive, one Hispanic guy who was very friendly and took our drink order right away and provided my toddler a sippy cup which is crucial folks!!! Please don’t underestimate the value of a sippy cup when a two year old decides to toss their water all over the restaurant it makes the difference a world of a difference on how your meal time will turn out and there was a Caucasian girl who didn’t tend to us but was nice too when she pulled out a high chair stored behind me for another table and told me not to get up to help her since I was holding my baby. Their regular hot coffee was aromatic, dark roast rich and flavorful. I highly recommend this for all my Java walkies is that a thing? I never watched Star Wars. The ½ chicken and waffles was amazing!!! I personally love good chicken and waffles so I rate these 10⁄10 for a perfect crunch and juicy tender flavorful chicken.

This places proves to be quite popular based on Unilocal and the line that was out of the door this morning at 10am. This review is for the food. Maybe I got the wrong thing, the croissant sandwich with bacon, cheddar, and two eggs… I couldn’t eat even half of it. It was greasy and the cheese wasn’t melted, but they did not skimp on the bacon. The hash browns were not thoroughly cooked. Was really disappointed with the quality of the food, although the quantity was good. Service was great. Our server was really wonderful and very attentive.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while and today was 23 months with my boyfriend so we decided to come here for breakfast before we both went to work! I’m glad we decided on this place! Location: It’s on Duarte & the sign«Nano Café» is pretty obvious. It’s not in a populated place and is more of a hole in the wall brunch place. Parking: I came on Friday at 10AM and there was parking! It started to get busy when we left around 11 and the spots were all filled up. There’s street parking though, so no need to worry about parking here. Ambiance: This is a small café & has a very cozy feeling. It’s like a old urban setting inside. It’s nice! It’s a great place to have breakfast or brunch. It started to get busier around 11AM! I’m sure it gets a lot more busy on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast and brunch. Service: Our server was an asian girl named Angela! She was super nice and smiled a lot. I got wheat toast & I didn’t know it would already be buttered so I asked her if I can get it plain and she nicely took the bread back and got me plain toast. Sorry. Thank you so much Angela! Food: We got the spinach sauté & cinnamon roll french toast. 1. Spinach Sauté: It’s an egg scramble, not an omelette which is what I thought it was at first. I didn’t mind though because it was still super delicious :) I asked for only egg whites($ 1 charge) and opted out cheese. It wasn’t too flavorful or salty unlike many scrambles or omelettes I’ve tried before. Great taste! Angela gave me two sides of salsas that tasted great with the eggs. It also comes with hash browns or potatoes & I got the hash browns. It was perfectly crispy. So good & it wasn’t too oily which I imagined it would be. It also comes with toast or an english muffin and I chose wheat toast, which comes with two sides of jam(mixed berry & strawberry). I ate the toast with salsa on top instead, haha! 2. Cinnamon Roll French Toast: My boyfriend got this. It was very flavorful. It’s probably made with cinnamon bread, which made the taste stand out a lot more. It’s pretty sweet, and comes with a side of syrup & butter! I liked the portion of this. It’s basically two slices of bread so it’s not TOO filling. This comes with ham/sausage & eggs. My boyfriend got ham & subbed the eggs with hashbrowns($ 1 extra). He really liked it! Apparently this is a popular order here at Nano Café as well. I would definitely come back again and try something else. I want to try an omelette or even some pancakes next time! Until next time Nano!

When I eat at Nano café, everything in life feels okay. Located in Duarte since the beginning of time, Nano Café has been well established as one of the local’s favorite. Legend has it that Jesus might have had one of his supper here.(JK) A meal at Nano cost around $ 10 — $ 15 dollars. for the portions, tastes, and satisfaction that Nano provides, it sure is worth every single penny. Don’t be frighten by the lines when you arrive on the weekends, the wait is usually around 20 — 30 minutes tops. Service at Nano is what the area around the restaurants is known for. Workers here treat you like friends, and there are enough regulars to last this place a few more decades. Please come in with good attitudes and bright smiles :) I always go for the their skillet or benny. Any of those would make a good breakfast. Food here taste honest, and that is why they’ve lasted so long.

I live a hop, skip and jump away and pass by Nano Café every time I drive on Duarte Road. The stars finally aligned this past Saturday and we came in for brunch at 10 am. Cinnamon Roll French Toast — combo available for about $ 4 more, which includes 2 eggs and 4 sausages or bacon. French Toast comes in 4 pieces, with maple syrup on the side. Fluffy and not as heavy as I expected. It is the only item that is consistently praised in practically everyone’s reviews and it is true — definitely the standout of my meal! Smoked Salmon Omelet. Includes capers and sour cream. Also comes with side of hash browns or home fries and toast(4 pieces) or biscuit. Since the french toast would likely be very sweet, I figured the other item should be a savory one to balance the taste. Couldn’t tell the smoked flavor of the salmon as it was thoroughly cooked in the omelet. Overall, the omelet was okay, but I would try something else on the menu next time. Not wow as the french toast. Good, very friendly service. The place was crowded already at 10 am, so coming early is recommended. They have a small lot as well for parking, so when we came, there was only 4 more spots left. Parking on the streets is your other alternative if the lot is full. They take credit cards!(But only Visa and Mastercard accepted.) I really wanted to give them 4 stars, but felt it was a 3.5 star food experience. I had really good french toast at Sweet Dixie Kitchen a few weeks prior to coming to Nano Café, so it was hard to match that. Hopeful to find another dish to enjoy on my next visit that could take the place of the omelet and bring up the stars.

Not too far from North El Monte, Nano and Le Roy for breakfast will definitely hit the spot. It’s an older café, with solid traditional all American breakfast choices. Your typical eggs, bacon, sausage cooked the way you like it. We came around 10:30a.m. on a Sunday and boy did we luck out with no wait time at all. We sat down, got our menus and ordered the following dishes: Biscuit and egg combo(got mine, over medium), the biscuit was not crumbly, and it just smothered in okay tasting white gravy. I got the home fries, really crispy, but the oily factor comes along with it. I devoured everything, but the biscuits did disappoint. We also ordered the combo waffles that was topped with fresh bananas and whole pecans with a dipping syrup. This came with choices of eggs and has browns on the side. It’s a great way to mix a little fruit with all that waffle goodness. Lastly, we ordered the eggs and sausage with wheat toast. You can’t really mess that one up. It’s not the greatest, but when you’re wanting a hearty breakfast that has a home made touch to it, this is the place. Unconventional choices like cinnamon roll fresh toast sounded really enticing.

My second time here and it is now that I realize this is my top spot for brunch! Ohmygosh people should seriously come here more often. Oh wait, that means I’d have to wait longer in line and inflation may occur… shoot. Anyways… haha it’s pretty strange seeing an Asian own a brunch place… but what am I to say. I’m Asian too! lol Environment — a nice diner feel to this place. There are option of booth seating, regular tables, the counter and also outdoors. I sat at the counter this time and it was nice seeing all the workers work together as a team. It’s a nice environment to talk with the people you’re eating, thus, not too loud and echo-y in here. Service — the most excellent service. The servers always have a smile on their faces and are not afraid to crack a joke when approrpiate. The«boss lady» always looks so happy and noted to be talking to customers. I sort of had a difficult time choosing what I wanted to eat, but when asked, the servers gladly offered their advice :) Food — ohmygosh, everything tastes good here. You should just close your eyes and point randomy at the menu and order that one haha — California Omelette — I think Nano Café has probably one of the heartiest omelettes I have had since college dorm food. They’re not afraid to stuff it. I think that the California was excellent. good fresh ingredients, nice sauce on the top. I chose the home fries(thinly sliced potatoes) over the hash browns and I think it was a good choices; home fries gives you a different texture from the omelettes. — Cinnamon French Toast — I always crave sweet stuff but I only take a couple of bites when it’s in front of me… anyways, the french toast was really good. They provided 2 pieces with a side of eggs, bacon/sausage and home fries/hash browns. Yum. Overall, I really do recommend that you come here to eat breakfast, brunch, lunch. whenver! So yums.

Brunch on Sunday, 8÷2÷15(first time visiting) From Unilocal reviews, this place gets very busy so I decided to come early at 8am. There were still parking spots available in their small lot and plenty of tables available. Half an hour later, there was a wait. The servers were super friendly. After ordering, it took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the cinnamon roll French toast combo that comes with sausages and eggs. For an appetizer, we had the garlic truffle fries. Everything was delicious but once the food got cold, it wasn’t the same. Try to have your food right away while it’s still warm. Although we took a while to finish our food, the servers never rushed us and maintained their friendly service. There were plenty of items on their menu to try so I’ll definitely be back again for more. It’s highly recommended to come early though.
