So I went to this place for the first time yesterday with a friend for her birthday. I would rate a zero if I could. We had a server in training, she was ok. décor was nice. From there what a disaster. I ordered a BLT Burger with avocado(for 15 dollars). Ouch… After waiting almost 30 minutes for our meal(there were only 5 tables) My burger was served open faced. The bacon was so overcooked and hard to chew(felt like it was old and sitting around for a long time) on the side of the top bun was the avocado and it was black. How did this ever make it out of the kitchen? How did the server not notice? The bun was ice cold. I pointed out the problems, got a very bad apology. sent it back. Several minutes later(my friend was almost done with her lunch) a new burger reappeared. Bacon same issue as before. The avocado was finally better. After putting together the burger and cut it in half I took a couple of bites and then… A bug landed on my other half of the burger and completely ruined any chance of me eating my lunch. After everything the manager(lady) comes over and pretends to care. I explained the situation including it being my first time here. She then told me… Sorry this is not our norm. we wouldn’t have been in business for 7 years if it was. All she did is stand around and was not helping her staff in any way. She said I hope you will give us another chance(didn’t convince me she meant anything she said) There is no way I will ever go back here… watch out for this place… Bad food, attitude and way too overpriced. We were there at lunch time…15 dollars for a burger… no way…

Excellent food and the price is not too high! I recommend this restaurant in downtown Morgan Hill.

Great place. The staff is generous and kind. Quiet atmosphere and the menu is awesome with prices that beat many local restaurants yet doesn’t skimp on quality of ingredients. Never a long wait to get a table and the appetizers are unique and well proportioned.

Had some overcooked salmon on a bed of big broccoli. Not very tasty. For dessert, the crème brûlée was the worst ever, flanked with banana, coated with chocolate and no glaze. If it wasn’t for our best friends, I would have sent it back. BTW: His filet was undercooked and went back. *** Only good note was the wine and our server. Both were spot on!

Really great place in downtown. We haven’t tried it at busy times but love the fact that they make their own pasta. Even gluten free. Good Caesar salad and a great desert menu. Looks like only beer and wine though. Tried it twice and am looking forward to the next time.

Last two visits have not been the best. They seem short handed not sure if it is temporary problem or if they have cut back. Coppino was not what I expected… crab legs were not cracked, the sauce is a heavy spaghetti sauce on a clump of noodles, I was very disappointed. mostly muscles…

4⁄5. The brunch menu has a variety of items from eggs benedict, omelets, chicken and waffles, skillet style dish, etc. They have mimosas here. And they are willing to tweak your mimosa to your liking. For example, don’t like oj?(the juice, not. nvm) you can have it with cranberry. Whatever brunch meal you pick, you get two sides. Indoor/Outdoor seating. Waitress was great. Alllllthhhhouugh… she asked me if I wanted another mimosa when I still had some left in my first one and I told her«not right now maybe later», she still brought me one. –___– Yes, this should’ve been the part where I tell her excuse me I didn’t want. but well, you know: p

This review is for my experience here this evening. Before I review today’s experience, let me say that I really like the food here. The service is often pretty bad though. I come back for the food, but today soured me. Tonight, at 6:30 I arrived to get a table for 3. I stood in the door way for a few minutes and then walked to the counter. The place was busy, but there were 4 or 5 open tables. It appeared that there were only 2 wait staff. There were a dozen or so women at the bar and milling about the restaurant. Once we got seated, we waited for 20 minutes with no one coming by. No water, no «we’ll be right with you» nothing. Had someone come by and said«we will be with you as soon as we can» it would have been fine. We left and went across the street to Mr. Slims Gastrobar. It was actually busier, but we were seated and served promptly. The food was very good. As we were leaving Betto’s I saw that they were having a paint night in the private room. It was packed. I’m not sure why they didn’t bring in more staff for such an event. We lingered at Mr. Slim’s and as we walked back past Betto’s I noticed the people that were sat rigtht after us were eating what looked to be recently arrived food. I get that you want to be busy, but if you can’t handle a crowd and you make people feel badly about your business, you are doing yourself a disservice. Hopefully, this was a one time staffing mistake, but I feel like they are always understaffed. Get it together Betto’s. I really like your food.

Came here at 6:30 waited 20 min for someone to come to our table… no luck! We had to go to the counter and ask for a server. Was able to order ice tea, had to ask for a refill, then the waiter took our order about 1hr and 10min ago… still waiting… Service blows at this place, not sure how the food will be, if we even hang around to find out. Ready to leave and go somewhere else. Waiter hasn’t even checked back with us and gave us a a menu. Bottom line food was good! I don’t blame the waiter, but the owner/manager. They should have more than two or three servers on a weekend night. I would go back on a different day. Like I said food was hot and good.

I have been here many times. Each time a different experience. The lobster Mafalda is by far the best dish. If you kids like mac n cheese they may not like the mac n cheese here because it is real mac n cheese(lil greasy), not with the boxed/powered crap. The cannoli’s are pretty good, you get 3 small ones per order. the chocolate«Panna cotta» is actually more of a pot de crème or ganache. Panna Cotta is with gelatin. This last Friday I ordered to go. My mom ordered a Greek salad, which I wasn’t too happy that when we got it, the portion was about 1⁄3 as when you sit in the restaurant, there wasn’t much to it, and they also forgot the chicken. So we could have spent $ 3 at Safeway for the equivalency of the $ 13.99 salad.

Yaaasssssss! I’m so glad we decided to come here. For starters, they have indoor and outdoor seating. So, sometimes having that option is nice. It wasn’t crowded, about 5 or 6 tables were sat and we were greeted immediately. Got drinks & everythanggg. Okay, so the menu flat out rocks! There is variety, it’s reasonably priced. You can have soup, salad, sandwhiches, pasta, steak, seafood, rice, mashed potatoes… I mean, I can go on & on. Don’t get me started on the kickers dessert menu. At least 10 – 12 delicious options. I will be coming back here and I will be getting all this yumminess again!

We are visiting Morgan Hill on the last stop of a week in Northern CA. Found the city based upon hotel availability, and came downtown for dinnet. We picked Betto’s because of the menu, the ambiance and an open table on the sidewalk. We were pleased with the wine selection, we both had lasagna(a comfort food night) and no room for dessert. The Ceasars salad and soup(veg minestrone) were also great. Service was first class.

4 Stars. This is the first sit down restaurant my GF and I have been to since moving to Morgan Hill. Staff is friendly, décor is generic, but the food was really good. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana. It came with a side of green beans and pesto pasta. The eggplant was great, but could have been cooked just a bit longer in certain spots. The pesto pasta accompanied the eggplant perfectly. I was a fan of the pesto sauce. The green beans were good too. My gf said her Asparagus and Cheese Giganti was good, but she wouldn’t order it again. The sauce was good, but the filling was just okay. For Dessert, we tried the Sampler: Mini Canolis, cream puffs, tiramisu, strawberries and vanilla ice cream. This was the only letdown of the whole experience. The Canolis were our favorite. The cream puffs came out of a box from Costco, the ice cream was just that and the tiramisu tasted sour so we left that on the plate. Final Thoughts: looking forward to returning for lunch or dinner, but going to skip dessert.

Gorgonzola steak and lobster and prawn pasta very good. I believe they were shorthanded but still did well although we waited 30 minutes to order. Pricing was very fair

Do not order the Cioppino, unless you like paying $ 20.00 for soggy spaghetti, old crab and mussles, a slab of unknown tasteless white fish plopped on top, and a base with no flavor, it was like no ciopping I’ve ever had. and I’m italian! If you’re going to be an Italian resturant at least learn the proper way to make the food ! I have had the salads and they’ve been good.

I ordered the shrimp and lobster malfada… it was excellent all the way around, 5 stars. My wife had the chicken parmesan which i took a few bites from and we both liked it. My brother had the chicken malfada and he said it was good but wasn’t specific. My sister in law had the Ribeye medium rare and unfortunately found it to be bland. My brother tried it and also said it was very average. I didn’t try their dishes because I was too full from my own. For the dessserts we had the apple crisp and lava cake. Both didn’t have nearly enough ice cream to go with the dish which was the first issue. The second was the apple crisp, it was good but way to many raisins to the Pont of where it was not enjoyable. Our waitress was excellent, didn’t catch her name though. I’d give this place 3.5 stars if I could due to the desserts and my sister in laws rib eye. If we hadn’t ordered the desserts I wouldn’t have known about them and would have said this place honestly earned 4 stars so I guess it comes down to individual dishes.

We had last minute plans to go out for Valentine’s day. Me and my husband. We just moved to Morgan Hill and We said We would hit up all the restaurants in town. Well we decided to sit outside and there was no set up, like candles and napkins. We had to ask. Bettos was very busy inside and we felt a little bit left out. We had to ask for our bread. Food was amazingly delicious. I would of given 5 starts if we didn’t have to ask for candle and bread!

We were headed to another restaurant but found it was closed so we walked across the street and came across Betto’s. The menu is pretty extensive and as a lover of salads I was happy to see all the choices. We started with grilled artichokes and crab cakes. The artichokes come with two different aoilis, a pesto and red pepper and both are great. The crab cakes were just okay. Between the four of us we had the salmon/risotto, the beet salad(a special that day), the mediterranean salad, and the roasted turkey panini. The salads come with SO much chicken. But the real winner was the risotto. So creamy and tasty. Overall the food was decent but not mind blowing. Unfortunately the service was subpar– but not because the server was bad, but because they had one waiter for the whole lunch afternoon on a Saturday. The poor girl had a large party of twelve and then several other tables to tend to at once. Then another table spilled their plate and there were people sitting outside too. There simply just was not enough staff otherwise I definitely would give this place four stars.
