The restaurant that was previously Giovannis is now called Boston Pizzz Plus. The interior is still the same, and the food still great! Got a fabulous Philly Cheessteak Bomb sub from their carryout last week and the price was good, the sub was awsome and the staff were very nice

No one here on a Wednesday night. Server was very nice but forgot my bread. Food was fine. Not amazing but good.

Food was just ok. Service was horrible. The waiter literally forgot about us, our drink orders, everything. Then they turned out the lights on us and asked us to leave…45 minutes before their posted closing time. Four Moms having a nice night out… will never go back.

Giovannis is fantastic! No other way to say it. Don’t let the little shopping center location fool you. Once you step inside it’s a whole different world. Good wine prices, great food prices and the portions are big. The food quality is an A+. Very nice dining, at a casual restaurant price! I had the chicken saltimbocca, and it was awesome. All entrees are served with a nice salad. The homemade italian dressing was great. My dad had the spaghetti and meatballs. He said it was great. You also get bread. But, not just any bread… homemade bread, that is grilled and served with a garlic and basil infused extra virgin olive oil dipping sauce. This can also be a romantic place for a date or a casual place for family and friends. In fact, my dad and I went on a Friday night and there was a musician playing, and a few couples dancing. I highly recommend Giovanni’s to anyone who is looking for some fantastic Italian food and does not want to deal with all the tourists!

Tucked away in a little shopping center off a main highway you will find this wonderful Italian restaurant. Although it is in a little shopping center location it makes good use of the site. You would not know you were in a shopping center once you are inside. It is decorated with pixs on the wall of the owner with some famous celebrities. The table are positioned with good spacing for parties to enjoy their dinner. It reminded me of the restaurants in Little Italy in Baltimore. We had three appetizers as we were a large party of 8. The calamari I did not taste but others said it was good. The mussels were consumed quickly as they were some of the best I have even tasted. The tomato based sauce was delicious. The fresh hot bread they brought us was easily dipped in and devoured. There was so much sauce left I wanted to take it home. Our main courses were also highly rated. The Veal was tender. The Chicken Alfredo was given high marks. The lasagna had several layers and was also enjoyed by my grandson. I had the shrimp scampi and I thought it was just ok. The shrimp were a little tough and smaller than I would have expected. They were served in a plate by themselves with a bowl of noodles and tomato sauce on a separate plate. Everyone received a salad with their dish. They were also fresh and the house dressing was very nice. Just a little too much of it. I should have asked for it on the side. Desserts topped off the meal and mine was a big hit. It was a Vespusci Chocolate cake with fudge, mousse, and cake. It was unbelievable! The cannoli’s got two thumbs up. There were two of them and most couples split them. The other traditional Italian desserts were ordered and also rated high. All in all it was a great experience. I love to find good restaurants while on vacation that are not chain ones and where the locals obviously enjoy eating. I am sure a lot of their business is by word of mouth. The bill for all of us was not outrageous as we had drinks and lots of food. I would definitely seek this place out ago when in Mrytle Beach.
