I recently stayed in this hotel on a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. I had all sorts of trouble with a dishonest booking agent that has been reviewed elsewhere but I wanted to specifically review this hotel. 1) It’s in a great location! Really, the view is amazing and on one of the loveliest stretches of beach! It is also not right in the heart of the strip so if you just want to enjoy beach the crowding is less. 2) The pool is lovely! The indoor pool area was nicely clean and the spa was beautiful and nice. The mural in the pool area was very nicely done. 3) This hotel is not easy to park in. The parking garage is very narrow and downright dangerous. You could see where other people had scraped their cars on the walls. They won’t let you park in the«oversize» lot even if you drive a SUV(which I do). One guest’s car was broken into while we were there! 4) The hotel does not control the entire place. We THOUGHT we had booked a hotel room but, in fact, we had booked a vacation condo. There was a large, completely undisclosed«cleaning fee» and it was on a different floor. I mention this because the alarm clock in the neighboring unit went off at 9:00 am and continued going off for several hours. We told the front desk people about it and they said they couldn’t do anything to assist because they do not control that unit. We were unable to get back to sleep because of the constant blaring from next door. 5) We found a roach in our room! It was in the middle of the bedroom floor!(so much for the«cleaning fee») 6) The SMELL in the hallways was horrible! I held my breath because it smelled of trash and mold! Overall, I would not recommend this hotel! The undisclosed«cleaning fee» doesn’t even make it a good value. I would bypass this one if given a choice! There wasn’t enough good to outweigh the bad.
