In the sweet spot nestled between the Ritz and the Beautiful beach this spot is MEGA happenin’. The people are happy, the drinks are flowing and good times are sure to follow. I mean dude, I spent a good couple of bucks for a beach side lunch but was it worth it? For sure. I would go back again and again.

Sadly, the burger has gone waaaay down hill. It was the best anywhere for years, but not now. :( The fish tacos were not awesome and overpriced for even gumbo limbo. Two people got those at our table. They both didn’t like them. Two people got the burger, lacked flavor and the grill job seems off and gave it a weird taste. We got several of the Piña colada rum runner specials. Don’t do it. Very little alcohol and not nearly as good as their original pina.

The three of us were there for lunch today for the first time. Always like walking the grounds of the hotel before you arrive at the restaurant. All the tables have ocean views and it’s a limited menu that seems a bit pricey. We easily shared the dishes we ordered. Our server, Efren was attentive and brought over two extra($ 4) sodas at no charge. Although an appetizer, the $ 20 «crab and black bean queso dip» could be a meal in itself. You must try this. It was warm and delicious! It came with jumbo lump crab meat and HOT pepper jack sauce and a large basket of warm crisp corn tortillas. Enough to share. The $ 20 ««handcrafted burger“‘ served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions and either salad/fruit or French fries, had that nice char grilled taste, but it wasn’t an 8 oz. burger. Not memorable. The $ 18JUMBO Wings were enormous, meaty and served with bleu cheese and celery. You won’t be able to finish this, expect to take the rest home. Enjoyed it. The $ 24 «Lobster quesadilla» was a bit much for what you got. Served with lobster, pepper jack sauce with a side of mango papaya salsa. Still, I enjoyed it. Add two diet sodas and the bill was $ 90.(w/o the tax added) Something I may enjoy just doing once. Remember to bring the receipt along with your parking receipt for«no charge parking». Otherwise there is a $ 25 parking fee! Again, pricey!

Five stars for the views and fresh piña coladas at the Ritz’s Gumbo Limbo! Seeing a sunset with a drink in hand at the Naples is a vacation must! The drinks are a little pricey — $ 15 for a blended drink(colada, daiquiri margarita), $ 14 for iced mixed drinks and $ 5 – 8 for a beer. The piña coladas here were the best I had on this trip to paradise, with fresh pineapple blended in and a perfect creamy consistency, without tasting like the fake coconut, syrupy goop served at other tourist establishments. Get to Gumbo Limbo 30 minutes before sunset, grab a spot on their long pier to set your drink, and enjoy! Dress is flexible — many people were dressed up, but others were fine in more casual, beach attire. I recommend heading elsewhere for dinner — the food is very pricey and you’re really just paying for the ambiance. The restaurant offers great views of the ocean and sunset for diners, with tables set among the long, skinny pier that fans out along the beach front. Be prepared to wait for a table! We arrived an hour and 15 minutes before sunset, and the wait was an hour and 45 minutes. It took about two hours before we had our table. The food is very MEH. The chips and guac comes with a tiny bowl of salsa and guac, neither of which packed a good spice though the guac was made with fresh avocado. The burgers tasted very charred on the outside and were served with flavorless cheddar, buns, and fries. The fries were served lukewarm. For $ 20, the burger and fries(one of the better«deals» on the menu) falls pretty short. The best food we tried was the wings, which had a good spice level and were served with a blue cheese dressing dip. The wings were large and meaty, but clocked in at $ 18 for the appetizer. Yikes! Service was just okay. Our waiter was not very friendly, but did request to split my grandparents salad for them in the kitchen without them even asking. Overall, a beautiful spot to make a sunset toast from their pier or beach with a well made island drink, but head somewhere else for food. Your tastebuds and wallet will thank you!

Visited on a chilly January afternoon. The heaters warm you up as you take in the glorious view of he crashing waves. The service is outstanding! We were just in for a couple craft beers and a snack, so the grouper taco meal was a delicious meal to split. Without asking they served the meal beautifully presented on two separate plates. We will be back! So nice to live in SWFL with options as fine as this!

Gumbo Limbo is a great spot to stop in for lunch or dinner if you like convenience and don’t mind spending a ton of money. My family comes here one or twice while vacationing in Naples, usually when we plan to spend the day on the beach and don’t pack any food or drinks. The food here is pretty good, and the portions are big, but it is VERY expensive. I must admit– the breathtaking view of the Gulf while you eat your meal is priceless, so that may be what you are really paying for. Service is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Again– good food, great service, very pricy.

Absolutely perfect! The restaurant/bar sits on the boardwalk of the Ritz so nearly every table has an upfront view of the sunset! The food was amazing — we loved the asian steak, grouper sandwich & gumbo salad the best! Fresh Coconut shrimp was a delightful appetizer added to the start of perfect dinner. Our waitress MINDY was thoughtful, prompt & attentive — the best gal we’ve had serving us while in Naples & Marco Island!!! The support staff bringing he meals and lighting the table warmers around the restaurant made sure we were all comfortable — the service was simply amazing! I highly recommend this ocean side grill to anyone wanting a relaxing sunset meal or drinks on the shores of naples!!!

Ordered cocktails, lunch and a bottle of sparkling water. In that order! First came sparkling water, which was already opened and had no more bubbles. Asked for another: same problem. Waiter came up with our food BEFORE we got our drinks. Asked to wait serving lunch until we had our drinks and reminded waitress about this a couple of times after that. When serer came up with lunch the second time, we still had no drinks… it wasn’t even crowded and the waiting staff had plenty of time to chit chat to each other. We were so mad that we just ran off having a lunch on highway 41, which was cheaper and better served. Will never stay in this outdated concrete palace again. It’s only convenience is that it’s located on the beach, but other than that distant from sparkling downtown Naples and the Mercado scene.

Woot woot for Gumbo Limbo! I feel silly saying that as I didn’t actually have any gumbo, but oh well — they get thumbs up for service, ambiance and food all the same. After deciding that I MUST get outside for my quick lunch stop during a recent work trip, I pleasantly settled into a chair out on their deck with an unobstructed view of the Gulf. Not that much could really go wrong from this point — 85 degrees + beach + sunshine in November when home is Denver? We were off to a good start. The server was prompt, attentive and friendly… everything you’d expect of a Ritz employee. The first tacos were already looking pretty tasty, but after his recommendation — I was sold… and yum! It was just the right amount of food too — enough that you walked away full, but not so much that you knew you wouldn’t be eating dinner that evening. I really liked the deconstructed format so you control how much fish, slaw, or salsa you wanted in each taco. The roasted tomatillo salsa was surprisingly über tasty! Really every morsel was delightful… such a happy lunch! I’d love to come back the next time I’m around!

Had a business meeting at The Ritz and enjoyed a lunch outside at Gumbo Limbo! If you are looking for dining with a view then this is a great choice. We started with the Crab & Bean Queso dip. This was yummy and enough portions for 4 people to split. Then I ordered the Salmon BLT which is served on a whole grain toasted bread. My coworker had a Grouper sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service is exceptional, as one would expect at The Ritz. View is amazing! Every table will have an awesome oceanfront view. Drink menu looked good but I had to head back to work afterwards so no chance to enjoy one… I will be sure to come back with my husband at sunset and try the dinner and drink menu! Keep in mind that you will need to valet park to dine at the restaurant. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the price * Average lunch item was $ 24 *

Was a fantastic experience. If you want to enjoy a beautiful Florida sunset with your meal, this is the place to be. Loved the ambiance. Wife got the salmon dish and I got the Mahi Mahi… Both are recommended for sure. Prices are actually really great considering its the ritz-carlton. I’ll def be back.

Poor drinks quality, for such a heavy name both drinks and food were bad. I give it 2 stars for the views at sunset and just the fish we had. Drinks, fries and kids meals, desert was very poor quality for the price and name they have.

Happy hour… is a pleasantry virtually nonexistent a la Gumbo. Yes, I checked behind my seat, under the menu, and I even peeked behind the bar. Couldn’t find it. Beers of any sort were $ 8, mixed drinks(well liquor) something around $ 12, anything premium…$ 14 and counting. Now, given this is the only place in the general beach area to get a drink literal feet from the sand and the Ritz is right behind it… I understanding the NYC pricing model. It is a wonderful retreat from the sun /escape from a random storm, and we enjoyed our $ 115 happy hour for two that seemed to materialize out of nowhere… but we DID have a cooler of beers just 77 feet to our south. Come here to enjoy a fancy sunset-laiden drink, but be prepared to pay for it. Come enjoy some bites, but be tactful in your selection. While the burgers flying out looked good, we opted for coconut shrimp — super crunchy but rather tough, kinda small, and very $ 18. I’m happy to come here any day of the week to enjoy an ice cold Anchor Steam from a chair when electricity is jumping out of the clouds trying to find me and/or the sun is trying to burn a hole in my leg… but if you’re looking for something a little more«happy hour» — refer back to your cooler or try one of the places back towards the parking garage.

Coconut shrimp as an appetizer is out of this world! If you’re looking for an adult beverage the electric lemonade is amazing. Ask for Katie for your server, though the entire staff is more than accommodating and everyone is truly amazing! They are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen! First class!

If there’s a place better then the Ritz Carlton on the beach in Naples feel free to enlighten me. The view is amazing, the service and staff are the friendliest you’ll find in town and the food and drinks are on point!

We headed south on Rt 41 from Bonita Springs and I came up with the following song for my nephew(s): «Trot, trot to Tampa, Trot, trot to Miami Watch out Ollie — there’s a million stop lights.» OK, so maybe it’s not a children’s classic. But there should be a children’s song about restaurant hostesses that lie on the phone(ahem, Turtle Club) Long story short, the wait was much longer than anticipated and we end up walking along the beach toward the Ritz. Thankfully we happen upon the Gumbo Limbo, which in nature is a tree, but at the fancy-pants Ritz it’s a restaurant best described a trust-fund-baby casual. You can wear sandals and shorts to this outdoor restaurant, but it’s still the Ritz-Carlton and everything is priced accordingly. The deck is a cool spot to see the sun set from what I hear. The service was excellent, as were the frozen cocktails(I tried Trouble in Paradise). We also spit the Lobster Quesadilla which I liked a lot. My meal was OK — the salmon wasn’t fishy but it was underwhelming in terms of flavor. Not a very bold dish. I think the winner was the Sweet and Sour Bass which my brother ordered. Overall, everyone seemed pleased. There are approximately a billion or so restaurants in SWF, and many of them are excellent. I am in no rush to go back despite excellent service from our waitress and the pleasant atmosphere. If you didn’t get my little song, Rt 41 is called«Tamiami» which isn’t Seminole for Concrete Jungle. It means Tampa-to-Miami.(Do they sing Trot, Trot to Boston in Florida?)

My new favorite spot for a drink in all of Naples. Overpriced? Sure! But the view is worth it and come on, you’re at the Ritz… what do you expect? The ambiance and service make it all worthwhile. Kick back, have a drink, watch the sunset and enjoy! Fair warning — due to local laws, they must serve all drinks in plastic. The plastic wineglass was a little challenging for my husband to handle. The wine list is good though — but I came for the margarita.
