The only place you should ever get a fat sandwich. Also if it’s not at least 1230am you’re doing it wrong

This food is delicious, everything of this place attracts me. I’m a child in a park. The Fat Bitch sandwich and regular pizza are amazing. I will come back!

Jimmy’s is one of the better pizzerias in New Brunswick. I’d rank it in my top 4 or 5. Average pricing and their plain slice is very good. Small place inside so it really is only for late night drunk munchies. Had their Sicilian and it wasn’t too good. Average buffalo chicken slice also. Would recommend to others though, worth a shot.

Win Win Win. Inexpensive Quality Grub, Plenty of Variety and Open Late! It hit’s the spot and I like the convenience factor of ordering online.

This is THE place to get a fat sandwich in town. The Fat Darrel is always hot and fresh and tastes great whenever I order here. Mozzarella sticks are good too. Service is always great here as well. The employees are very nice and make sure to get your order right if you’re a little picky(like me). It’s right in the middle of all the«action» on Easton so it’s convenient to go to. Definitely stop by here for some late night munchies!

I ordered a fat sandwich and got a gyro instead. When I told them about it they were pretty rude so I decided to eat it outside. It was very very salty.

My top«go to» spot when it comes to fat sandwiches(RIP Grease trucks). I ordered here weekly as a Rutgers student dorming at Cook College. Always open, always reliable, and cannot beat the price and quality of food. 10 years ago, we ordered from Jimmy’s to end a crazy drunken night and now… I order here to reminisce all the wonderful memories I had a Rutgers in one bite. You cannot go wrong with any of the fat sandwiches. Some of my favorites are the Fat Bitch(the mac daddy loaded with steak, fries, mozzarella sticks)…if you want something simple, go for the Fat Darryl… loaded with chicken fingers and fries, a somewhat healthier alternative. Five stars for a memorable establishment, hoping for many more successful years to come.

Ordered a fat cat and sat waiting inside the restaurant. After about 15 mins I got my order. When I was going to have my first bite the owner came out, rushing from behind the counter and almost attacked me to get the sandwich out of my hands screaming«that is not yours». I was totally shocked and didn’t know how to respond. Then the cashier lady tolled him that it is actually mine. Without even apologizing the guy went back to his work. I was really upset by the incident and went over to complain. Long story short the only explanation I got was«when you are dealing with drug addict college kids this is how you treat your customers». I left the sandwich on the table and left the restaurant.

FRESH white slice at 3am = perfect. The inappropriately named Fat B*tch(hold the mayo and the fries = some issues. The Chicken fingers are NOT Chicken fingers! I hate it when local NB joints list this erroneously on their fat sandwich menus. It was either fried chicken cutlet, or some variant of chicken patty. The mozzarella sticks and the cheesesteak in it were good though. And the bread was soft. BUT!!! The sandwich was completely DRENCHED in ketchup. It was dripping out the sides, and you couldn’t taste anything but this sweet high fructose corn syrup processed sauce. No condiment should ever be used in these atrocious quantities. Even at 3am after a phenomenal night with friends it was inexcusable. Will try again in the future… and please HOLD the ketchup.

Best Gyro in town. Best Falafel in town. The sauce drips down your arm and it’s oh so good and oh so worth it. Your dry cleaner will love you. This is Jimmy the original grease truck man! Hey Jimeeeee! He’s part of the draw. Nice Lebanese guy who does service with a smile. He’s still there most nights. If not his brother is. The Fat Sandwiches are also great. They are one of the original Fat sandwich places! So enjoy. Oh and there are two sets of bathrooms. One for the drunk college students and one for the rest of us(the post college only drunk once in a whiles.) Ask for the key, unless you’re on one of your once in a whiles …

Jimmy was the original grease truck and after a lot of work he was able to open his store. Pizza is mediocre, jimmy is a nice guy originally from Lebanon where he learned the art pizza making from his great grandma. He passed the recipe to the little Mexican who makes pizza all day for pennies an hour.

Ordered a plain slice of pizza. The pizza is so thin and tasteless. Tasteless to the max, I even put garlic which normally brings out the flavor of the pizza, fail. The cheese was not distributed evenly. It was just by an enjoyable slice at all. You can tell by the picture.

Fat Koko tonight… I don’t know if I have left a review before, thought I did but anyway… Nothing wrong with Jimmy’s. I can not complain about anything. Sandwiches are super cheap and what every normal person needs every now and then… An explosion of calories in your mouth! I live in Virginia now but grew up just 10 minutes from Jimmy’s. I remember when I was on the volunteer rescue squad and used to get those 2 or 3AM calls with patients that wanted to be transported to the hospital in New Brunswick. My crew and I would not call back in service or head back to town without a stop at Jimmy’s. Though they have a ridiculous variety of Fat sandwiches… the pizza is also great, and the AZ ice teas are still $ 0.99. The only draw I can think of would be for someone that is not between the ages of 18 – 30. be prepared to trip over and have to deal with drunk Rutgers students. For me its not bad cause I was one of them just four years ago and I am still young and can tolerate it. I recognize that Jimmy’s is by far the most amazing thing on this planet when you are drunk… I get it… But if your having a quiet night and just decide you want a sandwich, just know. lol

Ahhh good ol Jimmy’s! The original King of the Rutgers grease trucks! The memories! The endless list of fat cats and fat Darrel’s and fat cows and fat whatever u need! The originator of putting all amazing things in sandwiches like chicken fingers and mozz sticks and steak and gyro meat and falafel! A Jersey legend! A Rutgers original. Teenage memories. College memories. Jimmy’s is the best! I don’t even like going to the grease trucks. Just go to Jimmy’s!

Jimmy had the best Grease truck before he opened his restaurant. He also had the best come ons to get you to his truck. Wonderful food and great fat sandwiches.

Agree with the majority of comments on here; Jimmy’s Fat cat sandwiches are really good. I specifically come to Jimmy’s for the Turkey Burger Fat cat, which taste soo good and cannot be found elsewhere. The only reason why this place is bordering around 2 to 3 stars is because their delivery service is horrible. I stopped ordering from this place because the delivery guy thinks customers are too demanding on HIS time… I mean give me a break, this guy’s rudeness and lack of effort was enough to make me order someplace else for quicker and better service. If I’m craving a turkey burger fat cat, I usually drive to the place and pick up my order; Because of their crappy delivery service, they have lost my business to other places on more than one occasion.

Love their Gyro! For ten yrs its the place to go for one. Just make sure u have a lot of napkins because the sauces go everywhere, but oh so worth it. The Lebanese owners are always friendly. The bathrooms are always hideously nasty. But this is not a place you go too because of the ambiance – you go for the crazy sandwhiches from a former Grease Truck owner turned restaurant.

As a Rutgers alum, I have to say that Jimmy’s had the best fat sandwiches… yes even better than the grease trucks! The sandwiches are still delicious and they’re less greasy — well, at least there’s not as much oil dripping out as the grease trucks’ sandwiches. Definitely come here for those infamous sandwiches. Prices are the same too.

There’s plenty of varieties I haven’t tried and now I’m back in the North East perhaps a road trip is in order? The 4 years I lived in Drrty Jerz 1 year was spent in New Brunswick(«New Gunswick.») Rutgers– Home of the Grease Trucks– The varieties of Fat sammiches probably shed about 10 years off of my life expectancy and added inches to the waistline. A Rutgers student I was not but my roommates were Alumni both to Rutgers and of the Grease Truck scene. The most important thing was to not go to the Grease Truck– go to Jimmy’s. It’s been several years since my last Fat Sandwich but It all started off with The Fat Cat, Then– Fat Darrell, Fat KoKo, and a few others. When I had guests come up I carried the tradition«you gotta start off with the Fat Cat» then work around that. In closing I would like to say Yes In-N-Out Burger Animal style 2 by 2 is SICK– We got the Fat Sandwiches and I think they are superior.

Jimmy’s serves up some of the best fat cats in the Bruns. Jimmy still believes in service with a smile, even after all these years of slinging grease to hordes of college drunks. My favorite is the«Western Fat Cat» — which is 2 burgers, cheese, fries, lettuce, tomato, cooked onions, BBQ, mayo, and Bacon. My heart can only take about one of these sandwiches a year but it’s a must have if you’re passing through. If fat sandwiches isn’t your thing, he can still serve up some tasty slices.
