DaddyO’s BBQ To Go

Food is great. Wait is ALWAYS longer than they say. Still, I’m hooked. I just have to remember to order it about an hour and a half before I want to pick it up.

NEVER GOING BACK. Went there for my first time and witnessed what looked like the manager yelling at a customer telling the young girl «we can take this outside» I walked out and didn’t order. My whole family had to find a new place to eat from. UNPROFESSIONAL. Giving them 1 star is me being nice.

My fiancé and I have visted both the restaurant and the new take out location several times. On opening day, the food was just as delicious as their other location. Since then, the quality and portions have been very disappointing with each returning visit. We have decided not to return to this location since our last order. Salty ribs, old mac and cheese and hard rice– in containers that keep shrinking in portion size. It’s a shame because we were really excited about the convenience of taking our order to go. I still feel 3 stars are warranted because with a little attention to the quality, it can be a great place. Until then, we will stick to the restaurant on a less frequent basis. I will still recommend others to check out the delicious food from the old location.

Got take out for lunch few days ago got the pastrami on Texas toast and it was over stuffed and full of flavor and it came with fries.
When I ordered the person taking my order informed me it would take a few minutes which is fine because good food takes time. Also the owner Greg stopped and talked with me which is great that the owner shows face and talks with his customers.
Over all good food menu isn’t much different than the other dine in one in tottenville… Which I wish they had to go exclusives (hint hint) !

Horrible! The only thing I got in my order that resembled actual food was the French fries it was my first time ordering. The sauce is awful, ribs were gross and the pulled chicken sandwich sucks. French fries were chewy and stale wrapped in 2 paper bags not too mention the over an hour delivery wait and the $ 35 I threw away on this garbage ass food

Ordered food several times and never had a problem … The Food is always excellent and I enjoy how they will text me when my food is ready

Okay. So I wanted to wait until I ate my food to review. Wait wise– 1 star. Took an hour, not for delivery, to get 1 pulled chicken sandwich, an order of cornbread, and an order of tossed fries.
Help wise– 5 stars. Very pleasant and apologetic.
Food wise– 4 stars. My hubs loved the fries and the cornbread was out of this world. Coleslaw seemed a a bit manufactured, not homemade. Pulled chicken was good.
I think maybe the process for the food that they make may not be conducive to this pit stop locale, but I definitely love the restaurant and look forward to dining in soon.
Don’t let the length of time at Togo prevent you from enjoying the restaurant. Maybe order in with some time to spare not when starving from this spot.

I’ve been here several times, everything I have tried has been amazing –from the mac and cheese to the pastrami griller to the chicken and waffle sliders. Everything is cooked to perfection. Everything is cooked to order, so there is a wait, but with food this good it is worth the wait. I love walking in a being greeted by smiling faces welcoming me as soon as I walk in. The staff is very knowledgeable, if your unsure of what to order they have great suggestions. I love the fact that everything is homemade too! If your looking for cheap fast food keep driving, if your looking for quality homemade (like your mom would make for you) stop by and give it a try.

got some take out last night to go to a friends house to watch the fight and… i was a bigger hit then the fight.
everyone loved it and daddyos has some new fans.

I ordered the chicken fingers appetizer. It was a ton of food. The chicken «fingers» are slimy large chunks of chicken covered in a tasteless breading that just falls off. I would appreciate less food that was better tasting. Also the loaded nachos were really soggy. The pulled pork has a nice taste but it was just like a big dish of slop.
My bill was $ 30 and I threw almost all of the food away… Such a shame!

Heard good things about the restaurant, I’d figure I try the new location with a drive thru.
About this drive thru, it’s meant to provide fast service. Uhm, not the case here. If you’re in a hurry n want your food hot and quick, it’d b best you call 30 mins ahead of time before you pick up your food. They need an expeditor or someone to get them food out faster.
The food is expensive for a fast food joint. I did, however, enjoyed my brisket sandwich. The sandwich was juicy and tasty, took 2 days to finish. Hope they bring their price down some.

since I ate The original store on SI I was so excited for another one next to my home, big mistake as we waited after 1 month after the opening so the lines would go down the cashier girls that took my order over the phone lost my order after I was told 1 hr wait time which was not a problem because good food takes time, but after 1 hr wait to go there and not have a record of my order at all the cashier girls didn’t even seem concerned. they even suggested that I never placed a order, I spoke to the manager and the only way he believed me was by checking the restaurant caller ID. after apologies from the manager and another 1 hr wait for food I rushed home to eat. mistake the food was cold the rice was hard and presentation looked terible the manager was called over the phone
and he told me that he will add a 2 liter soda next time I order l, thanks dude but 2 hr wait, clueless cashiers, and cold bbq for a 2 liter coke not worth it. next time I get the urge to eat daddy O I’ll take the drive to the original location.
PS I never write bad about food and look for excuses when restaurants are in the wrong but this place took the cake.

I love the food at Daddy O’s but they have at least one worker at the Hylan Blvd location who said we could not use the pick up window to pick up our order because we didn’t pay ahead of time. We called and ordered our food so we could swing by on the way home from work and quickly pick up our food. He said there wasn’t a register by the window so we had to park the car and walk inside to pay! Unbelievable.

The Kitchen needs to get it’s act together
as the wait was very long.
BBQ was ok.
