I thought that they would serve the sausages on decent rolls but I was unpleasantly surprised when they came out on hotdog buns with ketchup and sauerkraut in small plastic takeout containers. Well, I guess it matched the plastic ware on the table. If it’s busy, you can expect having strangers sat at the same table. Understandable for an airport with space at a premium. Simply put, food was sub par. Server was quite pushy, asking about appetizers or another drink. Thank goodness I only had 1 beer. Still can’t quite fathom how it was $ 10.25 for a mediocre draft beer…

Stop in at what appears to be an Irish bar. The food looks interesting and I’m happy to have a beer to kick off the start of our vacation. Attempt to order a Guinness and they’re out. My friend attempts to order a drink with Jameson and they’re out of that too. They’re out of Jameson and Guinness… and they are an IRISH bar. Well these things happen… maybe they fed a plane load of Irishmen going home or something. We order from the menu and we get nachos for the table. Which is essentially a plate of nacho chips, chicken strips and melted cheese which was thrown into the microwave. These nachos were called«fully loaded nachos» and they were about $ 10. This is not what we were served. Unfortunately we had already ordered our sandwiches so we couldn’t bail, and sadly our food was more of the same. Chips thrown onto the plate, with a slab of sliced black pudding. My husband ordered a bratwurst. I asked if they had any HP sauce for the pudding, and the server didn’t know what I was talking about. How can an Irish bar not have HP sauce? It was airport food and I understand they have a captive audience, but you’d think they’d take a little more pride in the food they prepare for their patrons. And to top it off, they were playing 70’s music, in an IRISH bar. Come on guys, at least try a little. PATRONSLOOKELSEWHERE. Looking back, I should’ve bought a sandwich from one of the vending machines.

(11/30/2015) Strange ersatz Irish bar, kind of built around a caricature of what people think an Irish bar should be like(and at an airport to boot). Your basic dark wood and copper trimmings, plenty of TVs playing American sports channels. They have a sparse menu of international friendly foods like basic chicken Caesar wraps, smoked salmon sandwiches, potato skins, spinach dip, salads, potato cheddar soup. I would guess mostly people sidle up to the bar just before boarding a flight. Place was pretty full on a Monday afternoon. Had the Potato Skins, seemed like you couldn’t go wrong with that. Was a frozen pre-made product and sufficed. Basically is the same as anywhere else you go, came with 2 cups of sour cream, were piping hot, cheese was melted. It was fine. Took a while to get someone to come over to take my order, but eventually finally the bartender came over and was friendly, just not that attentive. Prices like you expect at an airport, extortion levels. You’re kind of trapped once you hit the international wing at EWR, so, like other reviewers have said, hit up the food court(especially in Terminal C, totally wish I had done that, should’ve gotten that banh mi when I had the chance) before hopping on the transfer train.

This place sucks. First we were sat down by some random guy sitting basically out on the edge by the concourse. Then the owner, I guess, throws the menus down on the table like here dude. My friend was about to order the roast beef sandwich when we saw the guy next to us eating the same thing. It looked like roast beef lunch meat with some American cheese on top. For $ 11 no thanks! We left after that.

Both the turkey sandwich and the Caesar salad me and my wife had was as bad as it gets. Turkey tasted like it came straight from a can. They also slap you with a auto gratitude on your bill, like they know they won’t get tipped otherwise. I get it’s in an airport with many travelers not aware of US tipping manners, but still. Only highlight of our visit was our server Janelle who was friendly and attentive. My best advise, buy a sandwich from a vending machine, you will be better off with the quality of that sandwich.

The only thing worse than the food is the service. Irish no! Pub, not at all. Service, slow and inattentive. Food at best mediocre. You’d be better off going to a vending machine. I’m writing this as I sit waiting for my check so I can leave a justifiably tiny gratuity.

Well, I work there so I’m biased. Our hot dogs are sooo good and if you sit at the bar you’ll get your beer served in a frozen glass.

Decent service. I ordered a salmon sandwich, which had a heavy side of chips but the sandwich itself was little to speak of in size and taste. The Guinness was $ 11, enough said. 15% gratuity was included in the check with an option to include an extra tip. Expensive airport food.

Guess I should have read the warnings. Pretty crappy place. The server took the menu from my wife before she had a chance to order and never asked her what she wanted. The nachos are store bought crap. Save your $ 10. The chicken is that store bought frozen junk. Sitting here waiting on the brats. I don’t expect they will be any better. Go elsewhere!!!

Okay place for drinks before your flight. Airport prices, but plenty of seating.

Yikes. Better luck eating at the food court when you first get into the airport. This restaurant is equivalent or worse than airplane food. Small portions too. The Mediterranean spot across from it was a better bet

Okay, so it’s an Irish pub in the Newark airport — I get it. But this was some of the absolute worst drinks, food, and service I’ve ever had. We were waiting for our 10pm flight, so the terminal was pretty dead. A group of us decided to grab something easy at McGinley’s and throw down a couple of drinks while we waited. They had one beer on tap that night. One. It was a pale ale. Meh. For food, my boyfriend got a ham sandwich and I went with the nachos. You can’t mess up nachos, right? Wrong. While I appreciate the use of real cheese and not cheese whiz, what’s up with the rubbery, microwaved chicken? I just moved it away from my plate. The ham sandwich was surprisingly good, but soooo small. It was almost like eating a slider with a bag of chips. Like I said, it’s an airport bar, but still! The service was also awful. Our server would disappear for 10 minutes at a time. It’s not like this place was crowded! Where did he go? No one knows. We’d order a drink and get it 5 – 10 minutes later. I would have been better off pouring my own drinks. Stay away! It’s just not worth it. Vending machine food and no drinks are better than what I had here.

This place pretends to be an Irish pub but it isn’t. The food menu — as well as execution — is pathetic. I think I just had the worst cold small reuben in years. This place is ok for drinks, but keep your expectations low when it comes to food.

First, the good news: — Friendly staff(by Jersey standards). –Clean and comfortable atmosphere while you wait to board your flight. –They know how to pour and serve a guinness correctly(but you will pay $ 9.25 for it). And here comes the bad news: The food was an absolute letdown. The baked potato soup was luke warm, and served with a plastic spoon. Water was also served in a plastic cup. And the sandwich, served with a lazy side of potato chips. Warm fries or a salad would make it appear that the business cares about their customer’s dining experience. It was comparable to a meal you would make do with from a 7 – 11, but thrice the price.
