We were lucky enough to get a last-minute timeshare week here for the middle of August– We’ve been here before but this is considered a superior one bedroom where the bedroom is actually off to the side so it’s quiet and you won’t hear the doors slamming more people walking down the hallway. We really enjoyed our week here very small kitchenette with two burners a refrigerator a microwave and some pots and pans is really all you need. There’s a great roof top hang out here if you want to bring a glass of wine there’s chairs up there to watch the sunset. I would not recommend the port restaurant downstairs for dinner but for drinks and some entertainment it’s not bad. The unit was very clean and the sheets were extremely clean and the bed was also very comfortable so I would recommend a visit here instead of staying in a hotel room if you can get it. The front desk was quite helpful we had made service one day during the week maintenance did wash the windows outside and made a racket one morning in doing so. Parking can be difficult on Friday Saturdays and Sundays we may have to leave your keys with the front desk. Wi-Fi is very slow in the building and you have to continue to sign in all the time. But that’s just a minor problem considering that you are in the very center of Newport yet tucked away far enough where you’re going to be undisturbed– Make sure you check out Anthony’s seafood in Middleton if you enjoy lobster or for lunch there’s the lobster shack on the Longwharf and they’re open until December– Also buskers Irish pub has great chowder and siders and many different beers that I’m sure you will enjoy. Don’t forget to do cliff walk if you’re going to be in the area of Eastons beach– you may also want to check out the snack bar at Easton’s beach for some good lobster rolls. The week went fast the air is clean the sea is clear, skies blue… all the rest is just icing on the cake of Newport. Will be back soon as we’ve done over and over!
