Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We will be back soon! The masala dosa was AMAZING. I also highly recommend the gobI manchurian. Update June 24. This is hands down THEBESTDOSA in the greater Philadelphia area. When it emerges from the kitchen the feast before your eyes is irresistible! Everything I have had here has been delicious but I definitely favor the dosa. The service is always attentive and pleasant and I can’t wait to return.

I wouldn’t go to this place unless I’m unwilling to travel for more than 5 minutes. The food is okay, the service is nothing to talk about and the options are pretty standard. Please avoid the buffet at any cost, salad works or pizza hut next door is money much better spent.

Food = 3 stars Service = 1 star average = 2 stars So, here’s the deal: Tried out this place for the first time about a month ago. Went in Sunday for lunch. Wanted to order off the menu but was told service was buffet only. Was decent, some non-traditional items on the buffet bar. Was satisfied enough to go back — this time wanted to order takeout from the main menu. Called ahead to order my selections and also mentioned I had a certificate. Was told I could apply. Placed my order. When I picked up the food, the manager says an 18% gratuity would be added because I was using a «groupon» certificate. Huh? Why no mention of this when I placed my order? Also, the certificate is one that I purchased from a work perk program, and no it wasn’t a groupon. There is no mention on the certificate that it can be applied to dine-in only. Just a minimum spend. The manager spent the next few minutes to explain why the gratuity was being added: — statement: the groupon offer was to get people to come in and try the range of foods offered. Fact: I ordered 8 items off the menu — 2 appetizers, 3 main courses, 3 types of bread. If I had been dining in I would have ordered 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 breads. So I tried more items when I ordered takeout — to last through the weekend. — statement: their prices are cheaper than their competitors so I am getting a great deal(and therefore I shouldn’t grudge them the 18% gratuity? Confused) Fact: portion sizes are small. oz. for $$ net value per portion is the same. Not the bargain deal as claimed. — I would have tipped anyway if I was dining in. Fact: yes, for sure. But I wasn’t dining in! Also, the app used to ring up the purchase forces you to pick a gratuity %, starting from 18%. Usually for a buffet I tip 15%, 20% for full service. So when forced to tip18% for the buffet(last month) I wasn’t too thrilled. Seemed underhand. I paid $ 4 to purchase the $ 25 off $ 50 purchase. Rounded up the 18% was about $ 10, and accounting for the certificate purchase fee I got about $ 10 off. Not worth the hassle, hustle and the haggle. I will go back to my standby: Aman, in Chalfont. I use my certificates there regularly. No problem. Food is better as well.

Very quiet and empty on a Saturday night(3÷19÷2016). Nonetheless, we were given quality customer service and the food was delicious.

Best Indian buffet I have ever been to! The food is all fresh and prepared to perfection. You don’t get anything that is dried out or is lacking flavor like so many Indian buffets. They have a lot of variety packed into a short buffet line. Each table gets naan that is made fresh when you arrive. The spice level is a bit above medium which might be a problem for newbies. We brought a work colleague who had never had Indian and he was fine with the spice. A must-try if you work in the area.

Decided to try out Deccan spice from the 25 other reviews giving it a thumbs up. We went on a Friday night and there were only a few other people there. Interestingly, it started getting crowded later in the evening after 9pm(still plenty of seats). Among the three of us, we ordered two appetizers and three entrees. The appetizers(gobi manchurian and spicy paneer) were excellent. These can tend to be ordinary but the blend of spice was right. As other reviews have mentioned, their level of spice is one more than what you would get elsewhere. The portion size is also generous. Splitting two apps and three entrees, we ended up taking food home. The only downside of the restaurant as others have mentioned is the service. There’s one guy doing it all and while he attempts to be on top of everything, he may just be over-extended. Besides that, the food is truly authentic regional Indian food(not pan-Indian) and worth a try.

Restaurant is located in a plaza so plenty of parking. Inside is big and spacious with plenty of seating area. Ordered the gobi Manchurian, chicken vindaloo, and mango lassi. I ordered my dishes mild since I can’t take spice very well but it was still a bit spicy for my palate. The flavors were delicious of the main dishes, chicken was cooked perfectly and the manchurian was crispy and full of Flavors. Overall I think I would’ve enjoyed my food if wasn’t that spicy. Other than that, I would come back here.

It was good. Not great but the staff was really nice and the food was well cooked. I came here before the change in management and name so I’m comparing it to that. I definitely want to try it again and give it another shot. Especially with the lack of good Indian places around here! Oh also I used a Groupon so definitely get the deal if you are trying this place out!

New to Indian food and I love Saag and Naan. Been to a few places and hands down it is the best place I like to go for both.

Best Indian buffet in the area. Great South Indian place for veg and non veg. The food is made for the Indian palate and many dishes have a nice heat. They know what they’re doing and I hope they will be here for a long time. The tandoori chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. Spicy and moist on the inside. The chicken fry was outstanding and perfect to eat with the dosa. The rasam had the perfect sour tang and heat while the sambar was more mellow. I mixed both together. The potato fry was perfect with the dosa. The chicken tikka masala will be a crowd pleaser and sure to satisfy and CTM lover. They had two different biryanis which looked good but I was too full to try. Enjoy this spot.

We’ve been here for the lunch buffet several times and sometime for togo. Every time same is the quality. Perfect South Indian(specially spicy ordered) food and would highly recommend for ones dying for South Indian food.

I’ve had takeout from here twice. The first time was amazing. The food was really excellent and the portions were fine for the price. We’ve eaten a ton of indian food from places all over the philly/SJ area and this was among the best. However, the second time we ordered from there was a huge letdown. We were told the order would be ready in 30 minutes. When we arrived, we had to wait nearly 30 minutes more and it appeared that they didn’t cook anything in advance. When we were presented with the order, items were missing and I had to ask for them. The food was incredibly spicy, even though we requested mild(lowest level available). We can eat spicy food, but this was in no way a mild dish and it was unpleasant for several of us. The staff was also not friendly. I’ll likely order here again to determine if this is worth it or not, but I was really displeased with our recent visit.

Quick review: We’ve been here for the lunch buffet five times and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food(it’s specifically Hyderabadi) or is interested in trying Indian. Long review: We enjoy Indian food(it’s probably our go to cuisine whenever we want to go out to eat since we don’t know how to make most of these dishes) and have tried lots of Indian places in Philly and surrounding the suburbs. We first saw this place on Unilocal and we were excited to try it out especially after seeing all the high reviews. There aren’t that many South Indian restaurants in the area and we really enjoyed the food our first visit. We were happy about the $ 10.99 weekday price($ 12.99 on weekends). It wasn’t too busy and it was very spacious for our party of five(three adults, a toddler, and a baby). The server was very nice and very accommodating refilling our naan, dosas, and water. Overall, we’ve been here once a week for the last five weeks(only on weekdays) because we enjoy the food so much. The décor isn’t great, but we don’t care because we rather pay for good food than good décor. Each time we’ve gone there’s been different choices(eg. veg samosa, onion pakora, gobi, majestic chicken, channa masala, mutter paneer, kadai chicken, etc) with all the regular choices(eg. puri with chickpeas, idly, chicken tikka, daal, sambar, gulab jamun, fruit pudding, and chai tea). We are so happy this place opened up and hope this place is around for a very long time. Support this place and tip well!

Very good. I used to live in the Bay Area where the Indian food is SO good. I’ve had a hard time finding a good place around KOP. This was my first visit, but I think this will be our go to spot. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala which was very good. At most restaurants, the chicken in this dish is obnoxiously dry. Not here. The chicken was very tender. We also had the chicken biryani which was also good. One thing that I liked about their menu is that there are a lot of items that I have not seen at other Indian/Pakistani restaurants.

So I don’t usually write reviews unless I’m compelled to out of excitement. But I love this place! Pretty legit. You know it’s authentic when everyone else eating there is Indian. I had lots of Indian food while living in California and I think this is one of the best places. We stumbled into the buffet and there were a lot of items I have not seen at other establishments along with regular buffet favorites. The best part is they bring you fresh naan and DOSAS! Best dosas ever since they stay crispy even when cool. Love love the dosas! I’m not a big Gulab Jamun fan but even that was good. The buffet food was warm, flavorful, and spicy! Service was great. Place was clean. People were nice. Only downside was wishing I could eat more. Will definitely go back! Why are you still reading reviews… you better go get some bomb Indian food!

We had the best experience here tonight! From the beginning the papadum and sauces had the perfect balance of spices & flavor. We had the veg samosas for an appetizer and tandoori chicken and chicken saag with garlic naan for our main. We were too full for dessert but they gave us a little sampler anyways and it was superb! We will definitely be back for their lunch buffet & dinner again. Highly recommended!

Hi. . I recently moved to Philly from California and it was hard for me to adjust with the quality of local Indian restaurants around here. I used to drive 60 — 70 miles New Jersey to indulge my cravings for good Indian food(particularly Biryani) and I totally stopped driving to New Jersey after dining at this place. Me and my friends went for dinner and ordered both veg and Non-veg items. As Usual whenever we go to Indian restaurants we start with Appetizers, main course and end with Dessert. My friend ordered Dosa and Wada, I tried Naan, lamb curry and chicken Biryani. THe quality of the food reminded me of restaurants back home. Biryani was perfect with the right mix of spices, well cooked rice and meat. The meat is so tender it fell out of bone easily when I sliced with fork without any effort. Also tried Gulab jamun and Gajjar Halwa which were perfectly made without too much of sugar and ghee. I like to revisit this place for brunch this weekend.
