I grew up close to the area and this place is iconic! They have the best Hamburger around. I love the old style way they make them. It takes me back to when I was a kid. The waffle fries are addictive. The Milkshakes are to die for and the people are nice. Exactly what you’d expect from a small town greasy burger joint like this. They are under new ownership and the place is definitely cleaner which is a plus. They also have Green River soda and you can’t find anywhere. I highly recommend Scott’s if an old school greasy burger is what you have the hankering for!

They got new digita menus and a fancy register… so they charge $ 0.25/cup for WATER! Their food is pretty good and their shakes are great so I will update my review when they stop being greedy.

We stoped by Scott’s today after a long beautiful hike in the area. Well let me tell you that I was very surprised when I saw those pretty burgers and fries, not only good looking burgers and fries… DELICIOUS also the employees were very nice. Good food and nice people. For a burger join it was more than what I expected! Good job everyone!!!

Amendment to my earlier review… the owner messaged me right away and apologized for the poor service, he offered to comp our next meal if we decided to return. We will give Scott’s another chance and hope that they’ve done some employee customer service training. Looking forward to a chocolate malt!

This place can be hit and miss. One night you will order a specific menu item and it’s great. The next night you order the same exact item and it’s like a completely different thing than the previous night. Not to sure what the deal is here, but it also seems to be getting worse. I wish I had a picture to share what I am talking about. Maybe I will update later. Love the fact that they employ local kids, but there needs to be some better management. Saw one kid handle money, then grab a cone with the same hand. Gross. Ice cream orders are fast most nights, food orders are never fast. Like, full service sit down would sometimes be faster than this. But I do give some credit for employing local teens. So –1 star for major inconsistencies, –1 star for cleanliness, –1 star for speed, but +1 star for teen outreach.

After our last visit and review, the owner got in contact with us to address some of our concerns. We decided to give it another shot, and went at 8:15pm. Grill was still open, all the workers were awesome, and the food was delicious as usual! Glad we came back — super good! It’s still drab inside but it was lovely outside sitting in the evening. Great visit!

I have now been here twice, both times were after hiking around the area. The first time I got just an avalanche(which is equivalent to a Mcflurry) Second time, this past weekend, the group of us got full meals here: — cheeseburgers — chicken burger — BLT — chicken strips with waffle fries — ice cream cones Food is what to be expected from a place like this, greasy junk food. They charge 25 cents for water cups, just a heads up. The outside window is for pick up, go inside to order. I saw a few people make this mistake, staff should really tell them to order inside. Service is a little frazzled I feel, they always seem overwhelmed when they are super busy. They’ve got picnic tables in the back to sit at on a nice day.

This is a great find! I am new to town and have seen the shop, but only had the chance to stop in for the first time the day before yesterday. A very warm day, perfect for a stop here. I found the restaurant nicely busy with individuals, working people, families, couples and kind, friendly employees. It’s good to note that there is a new owner, Andy, who is devoted to positive change in order to bring the restaurant to its full potential. Andy is also very supportive of the North Bend community, including local organizations. There were so many delicious sights and smells in and around the Frosty that choosing was tough! I ended up with an absolutely addicting Pina Colada slush kind of drink. So good in fact that I will confess-I I returned yesterday for another! Yesterday’s trip was again filled with a comfortable, clean atmosphere inside and around the picnic tables and outdoor chairs. Busy, but orders moving quickly and a smiling, friendly staff again. As I waited for my order the employees took the time to chat with me and let me know how much they really like working there. I also got a consensus from many customers that you really can’t go wrong choosing any item to eat as a meal, love as a treat or grab as a drink. Fun, appealing place that has a burst of fresh energy and appeal. Hmm… should I allow myself to go back again today???

We were just told that they closed the grill because«they were too busy.» Have to admit was a bit perplexed, but owner followed up to let us know it was due to mechanical issues. I really appreciate the follow-up. Scott’s has super yummy ice cream, you can’t miss on that. The rest of it is pretty much your standard burger joint stuff, but it’s good.

Just got home after an amazing meal of ox tails and jerk chicken! The soul food is served from 8−11pm and is, in my opinion, better than the regular food! Also had some greens and beans and rice. Out of this world. Can’t wait to go back for more.

I have to say, I am simply amazed with Randa’s Soul Food. She’s a not only a sweetheart, but her food is on point, and she captures soul food very well. Much tastier & more friendly than any soul food or restaurant I’ve been to. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! She’s there from 8 – 11, the food is very much worth it. Give her a try, and support a small local business in the process. You will not be disappointed, I promise

I’ve been going to Scott’s for over 20 years. The shakes, malts and soft serve are the best. I think I’ve tried most of the menu and it’s good. The staff are always wonderful. However I have to take off 2 stars. The one menu item I get every time, because they do it the best, are the deep fried mushrooms. A month ago they where here. Today they informed us they took them off the menu. I can no fathom why they would take the best thing on the menu off.

Scott’s is an institution. My husband grew up in Western Washington, and he always told me stories about how awesome Scott’s was. When he finally took me there, it did not disappoint. The shakes and cones were so good. The fried mushrooms? Yes please. The burgers and fries? Yep. It’s allll good. My kiddos think it’s the coolest place, we almost always stop there when we’re coming back over the pass.

NOSTARS!!! We stopped here on Sun. Sept. 20th around 5: PM Horrible food. I’ve honestly had better fish and chips from a TV dinner, the burger was mediocre at best, the fries were no better, and the onion rings were WAY over cooked and just gross. Horrible service. We ordered a burger without ketchup and cut in half, and got a burger NOT cut in half with ketchup. The girl who took our order seemed annoyed by us. Horrible housekeping. The place was an absolute mess. I had to ask for a cloth to wipe a table off with. At which point the other girl wiped off all the tables. And ours last. ??? You couldn’t pay me to eat here. It’s simply offensive. But, they made up for it by being overpriced.

It was good 15 years ago. I have been to Scott’s around 50 times, but I think I am finally done. The shakes are still good but that is about it. Scott’s has gotten so dirty on the inside and out it is hard to take. On my most recent trip the floor in the dining room was littered with fries, napkins, small pieces of food… honestly it looked like it had not been swept or vacuumed for a week. The bathrooms are even worse… they are outside and usually totally neglected. Scott’s could flourish if it embraced it’s old time charm and cleaned the place up and didn’t over charge for every little thing. They could be the hottest thing in North Bend… but for now they are just the dirtiest.

Stopped by the Scott Shack after navigating Mount Si last week. This is one of those places that has retained its original flair since it first opened back in the 50’s with a varied readerboard menu and an accent on shakes and ice cream. The inside dining area could use a bit of a facelift with some better furniture but the old photos along the walls looked great. Had a burger, fries(skinny) and a root beer shake with the latter being nothing less than exquisite. Place was moderately busy and the food was done in a reasonable time. Staff was friendly(mostly teenagers but I think the owner was there as well) and pricing was reasonable. The ice cream is the main reason to stop here but the food is also above average, plus I gotta admit I’m always attracted to places like this. I’ll be back next time I’m in North Bend.

Fun place, nice to eat outside on the wooden chairs and tables(for once, no plastic!), decent food moderately priced. I have to say, however, they make the absolutely best onion rings I have ever had, ever. They were perfect. In fact, it’s the onion rings that spurred me to give Scott’s a five-star rating. I would come back just for them…

I really like places like this that still have a vintage exterior and menu boards and such and give a bit of a taste of the past. We just got done hiking Little Si nearby and decided not to wait until we got back further south to eat. There is one window to order and one window to pick up your order. You also have the option of going inside and ordering and sitting there. Otherwise you can eat in your car or go around the back and eat at the tables back there. There is also seating on the side of the place. The bathrooms are also out back. If you order at the outside window, the menu hasn’t been updated in a while so don’t be discouraged if the cashier tells you they don’t have a certain drink or flavor. There are so many other beverages and shake flavors to choose from. I got a gardenburger with onion rings and a caramel shake. Everything was made fresh and the bag was practically steaming when the order number was called over the outside loud speaker. I thought that was cool that instead of yelling out order numbers, you can hear your order being called practically wherever you are. I don’t know if it was because we were famished or what, but the burger was amazing. It came with a little shredded lettuce, pickle and I think a tomato. I fried got a chicken sandwich which was equally as good. The onion rings were kind of like typical pre-breaded rings you can pick up in the grocery store. The shake was also very good. Not overwhelmingly caramelly but they actually make it the perfect consistency if you don’t want it so think you blow a neck or head vessel trying to suck it up through the straw. There isn’t a lot of standing room outside if you’re waiting for your order and also it can get kind of warm because people sit there with their cars idling and the heat from the engines makes you sweat a little. People love their air conditioning though, I guess. Also, I didn’t know they have snow cones and slushies until after we ordered because I could have massacred a slushie after our hike. The snow cones and slushies also come in a large variety so there is something for everyone. Also, the gardenburger was very good but it was $ 5.50 which is practically the price of a whole box of gardenburgers, but I assume they don’t get a lot of people asking for them. It’s definitely worth a stop if you want something quick and somewhat nostalgic.

Lines were confusing. There is a window outside and inside. People standing everywhere and no clue where to order. Prices were very high for a burger shack. 32 dollars for 2 burgers, an onion ring, soda, and chicken strips(2) and fries, and 2 shakes. Service was slowwwwwww! We waited for about 25 minutes for our food. Half of the food was cold. Not many options passing through town. I would keep going to Auburn.
