Fishy fish. What a disappointment. Got the ahi with garlic butter sauce but one bite was the end of my meal. Had a hard time getting that old fish taste out of my mouth.

The food is alright. It’s the service it’s lacking. Five people behind the counter(cashier, cooks) no one in line, I was the last one. My order came out 20 some minutes later… Such poor service

Good food but service needs improvement. Last night I ordered the salmon charbroiled plate with rice and was given the salmon salad bowl. I asked for the correct plate that I ordered and the lady just stared at me like I’m stupid or something. She said«well this one has rice underneath it» … I paid for the rice plate which is more expensive($ 13), why would I just say never mind & get that 8 $ bowl? had to ask like 5 or 6 times before she finally got the point and just said«okay» and walked away. No apology for getting my order wrong, no understanding, just stares at me like I’m an idiot. Turns out they mixed up the order and that was someone else’s but still, when you f*ck up someone’s order it is polite to apologize and take the food back, don’t make me ask you a million times until your brain comprehends that I’m not settling for something I didn’t pay for.

I’ve been going to this place for the past year. The food is of a good quality. However, this is the third time in the past few months that I’ve come here and the vaccine ventilation is broken and the entire place us filled with smoke. It was to the point that everyone sitting and eating was coughing. Felt like I was in a smoke shop. I’m sure if the health department were to get notified they would cite the owner. Even the staff was uncomfortable working there like that.

This place fries catfish in flour. It’s disgusting. I thought everyone fried catfish in cornmeal. It seems so obvious you would never think to ask what kind of batter is used. Well, now I know better. Also I ordered delivery through grub hub and they placed my bread on top of a lemon slice so it was nice and soggy by they time it got here.

I love the food, but to quote Ralph Wiggum: «It smells like burning.» The restaurant is filled with smoke. Every lunch.

been here before and as in reading other reviews, I see a guy who came in well after I did, get his order before me, wth? All I ordered was a mahi burrito with a side of Mac salad. I don’t mind waiting, listening to the up beat hip hop music blaring from the speaker, but if you’re not into that genre, then you’re SOL. When I finally got my order, I couldn’t help but notice their burrito is a tad on the small side, compared to other places. you’d think for almost nine bucks it would be a bit more hefty. I’ll probably stick to the dinner plates next time…

Being a huge lover of healthy foods and fish one of my main sources of protein, I expect so much more from Fish Dish. Service is fine, just slow and they really do not know their products well nor do they seem to care. The tacos are insanely pricey, not good quality of prepared well. Paying $ 4+ per taco and i have tried pretty much all of them by now, you really expect flavor and quality, I got neither. Fried and grilled fish had no flavor, my husbands fried and grilled shrimp not deveined and inedible, he actually tossed them, a royal waste of money. Having given several of their locations a try now hoping one might be better than the next, I have found them all to be unacceptable. Way too many other great dining options in the area, I will not return.

Update, down to 3 from 4. There should be a 2.5. I brought friend who I’ve raved about this place for a year, and all I basically got was rice and tortilla with a few pieces of flavorless«Cajun» mahi mahi that I added salt to unsuccessfully. Her shrimp burrito had 3 pieces of flavorless shrimp that was all on one half. The absolute worst part, is that we had a to go order for her boyfriend at home and since we can’t subject this meal to him with a straight face, we’re on the way to Joe’s Falafel in Universal City on Cahuenga who I’ve also Unilocaled, to get a replacement for the bland food we intended for him.

Work around the corner and always love grabbing fish dish for lunch! You really get a bang for your buck and the fish plate combos always hit the spot! I love the mahi mahi cajun style or the salmon YUM! The girls that work there are super sweet too and are always quick! Definitely try if you’re looking to switch up your lunch spot!

Well I can say that the fiod is adequately tasty, However, the sevice could kick it up a notch ? For a course three items to be serviced 25 mins. after order is a bit behind standard no ? For the price point though, I suppose that is the cancelation ? Customer service grade from 1 – 10? = 4.5 ! Be prepared to wait @ least 20 minutes from Order to Table !

I said I wouldn’t come back, I did. The Salmon charbroiled plate while overpriced is pretty good. Just don’t order the salad, it’s basically a head of iceberg lettuce nothing premium about it.

After a long day, went here for dinner(trying to eat something tasty and healthy). Fish was unremarkable. Service time was slow. Prices were fine. Parking is «LA parking». Not returning

Just returned from a lunch at this spot, the grilled fish plates with asparagus looked amazing at the table next to mine. I ordered the Cajun salmon burrito which was nice. I felt as if I ate healthy afterwards too, nice alternative to your heavy meat burritos. I plan to try the Mahi Mahi next visit!

I like Fish Dish from eating at the Pasadena location numerous times. The NoHo location is just awful when it comes to customer service. I make my order with the cashier MARIA, I get a receipt and she tells me to take a seat my order will be ready shortly. Well, my order wasn’t ready shortly MARIA. I go to her and ask her where’s my order after seeing people that ordered after me get there orders and me waiting 30mins. MARIA starts getting sassy with me because of my asking. And what do you know… She didn’t process my order completely! Good one MARIA. The manager YESENIA G was standing right next to her the whole time! I tell her I didn’t appreciate the cashiers service and that I don’t have food yet. I’m irritated at this point and rather take my business elsewhere, so I ask for a refund. The manager gives me my refund and offers me some f… ing clam chowder from ordering $ 30 worth of food lol Please Unilocalers don’t spend any money here for your own good. And the owner of this location please make some changes with the staff, I’m not the only one who has dealt with the terrible service here.

Sometimes it’s hard to find healthy alternatives to fast food restaurants in big cites. However Fish Dish serves as a viable alternative that promotes healthy eating while on the go. With promising reviews and a tempting menu, we decided to give this place a try. This is one of several locations strategically placed throughout the valley. It’s situated in an area that is convenient for busy commuters. You’ll find Fish Dish directly across the street from the North Hollywood Metro Station, on the corner of Lankersheim Blvd and Weddington Street. When we arrived, we couldn’t help but notice how small the restaurant was. There are a few booths along the wall to comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Several small tables are placed in the center of the restaurant as well as near the entrance. They also have seating options directly facing the kitchen for those who like to watch their food being prepared. Given the size of this restaurant, one can definitely see how Fish Dish could be a bit of a cramped location on busy workweeks. The menu is a seafood lover’s dream! Not one item contained red meat and most of what they offer came straight from the sea. Chicken is on the menu but it’s pretty limited. The fish plates can be prepared either grilled or fried. Grilled fish can be served with a garlic butter sauce or Cajun style. They also come with your choice of white or brown rice. For people who love a good fish taco or burrito, this place is also right up your alley. Basically, there’s something for everyone! When browsing through the menu, I had a tough time making up my mind. Eventually, I ordered the charbroiled halibut served Cajun Style with white rice. I could see that the halibut filets were a good size and the anticipation was building. So once we paid, we were given our plastic order number stand to place on our table. I’d say that we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes for our food to arrive. The halibut filet was lightly coated with Cajun sauce and gently placed atop of a generous amount of white rice. The halibut was cooked well and was flaky when cut. I found the Cajun sauce to be very light in flavor and not too spicy. My boyfriend ordered catfish with garlic butter sauce and to tell the truth, it didn’t look too appealing. The sauce blanketed the catfish in a thick layer and made the meal seem a bit heavy. Therefore, I tried a piece of fish with the least amount of garlic butter sauce. The catfish was great but would have been better without the sauce! Thanks to Unilocal,we discovered a great seafood restaurant with many options. Fish Dish is a place that has so many possibilities to entice pescetarians and health conscious individuals. The prices are fair and the food is good! So if you’re in the mood for a healthy meal, Fish Dish will suffice.

They are effin slow in this joint! Snagged one of the metered spots out front and put in 30 cents for 18 mins. Figured that should be plenty of time to place a to-go order. Ordered, paid, sat. And sat. And sat. And sat some more waiting for my food. I didn’t have my phone with me so was unaware of the time and not sure how long I waited but it seemed like a while. Apparently the people that came in after me were able to order but not pay as the system went down or some mess like that. But the system was up and running just fine when I came in. Food was finally ready. Got back to my car and the meter was blinking red. Don’t know for how long and thank goodness I didn’t have parking ticket. But it was proof I waited for my food for at least 18 damn minutes! Saving grace — everything was delish! Salmon was great, garlic bread was soft and warm, string beans were seasoned nicely. And it was a hearty meal portion-wise. I’ll phone in my order next time simply to avoid that ridiculous wait.

I LOVE the food! I type this as I wait for my salmon plate! 2STARS is for«Kassanda» your attitude sucks!!! I’ve never seen you before idk if your new but you really should understand customer service! Your in the service industry! Be nice, smile, friendly! Get it? Your attitude & disposition is ridiculous! Like your mad at the world, you were so rude to me everything I ask was a «no, sorry, you can’t» when it’s so easy to do & all the other staff are so helpful & friendly especially the other girls! Ugh! Then try to tell the kitchen manager not to do it! Lol when he did, because it wasn’t a big deal, to get no mash potatoes! Lol smh then you push my food when it was ready didn’t open it & double check like everyone else, just pushed it because you were mad! For no reason! & I always tip! Because I appreciate great service & friendly people! But you, honey! It you don’t like working here find another job & if you can’t it’s not my fault! Customer service is in your job description! If your not friendly & welcoming then your NOT doing your job!

After spending some time at a local theme park, my girlfriend wanted to eat at the theme park. I thought to myself… I think I can bring a little of my Valley self to her. Of course, I was raised in the valley and I know what my girlfriend loves to eat. Not to far from where we were, I took her to a local seafood quick service restaurant called, Fish Dish Grilled Seafood or in short, Fish Dish, in North Hollywood. Located on the southeast corner of Lankershim Blvd and Chandler Blvd across the North Hollywood Station, you’ll find Fish Dish. Its not a full-service restaurant, but a quick service dining experience. At first, you are not sure if you want to go, but trust me… WALKIN! It may seem like a typical restaurant, but you’ll love the food. To your right, you’ll see a wide variety of seafood in many different lunch/dinner variations. You can have your food charbroiled, in a deep fryer, in a burrito, or in a salad. My girlfriend was definitely impressed with me and as she said, «I guess I’ll keep you!» She was very hungry and this would be a great spot grab lunch. The staff was a little weird. They were randomly staring at people and I caught one of the staff members while they had a blank stare. This place gets busy and the wait for the food can be awhile. The dining area is a little small, but easy to navigate through. Its a split between booths and tables. My girlfriend ordered the charbroiled, Cajun Style Halibut with white rice($ 20.20) with a lemonade($ 2.05). It comes with garlic bread and coleslaw. I ordered a charbroiled, garlic butter sauced Catfish with White Rice($ 10.30). It would be about a 10 minute wait from the counter to the kitchen to the table. We were given table numbers to place on your table. I walked to the back towards the Salsa Bar. They have mild salsa to Tomatillo Sauce as well as cocktail and tartar sauce for your seafood. The food was brought to our table and it looked delicious. To be honest, Fish Dish can do away with the garlic bread. OK… OK…I am sure other Unilocalers will get angry with me if they do. Fish Dish… Keep the bread. The plates come with a scoop of coleslaw. OMG, they pack a lot of food on a plate. My catfish was cooked very well. With the garlic butter sauce, it made the catfish much more exquisite. I tried some of my girlfriend’s Halibut. It had some kick from the spices they put in the Cajun Style cooking. The bread was very toasty. Put some catfish or other seafood and you got yourself a little mini-seafood sandwich. Oh, Fish Dish. I’ve come to North Hollywood Station a lot, how did I miss you?! Fish Dish is an awesome establishment. I didn’t realize it had other locations throughout the valley. Now, I can bookmark the other locations if we are back in the valley. If you are coming from the North Hollywood Station’s Red Line, Fish Dish is right across the street. Why join the rush when you can relax for a bit and grab some local seafood. You can customize your dish the way you want it. Take it home if you want, but come on over to Fish Dish! Unilocal…I Live, Breathe, and Share my Reviews for everyone to read. Come Join Me!

I’m sorry but I don’t taste the freshness here. The breaking lacked flavor as the fish just seemed like it defrosted. I love the location and the ambiance, but the food lacked in flavor. I do love how this place is spotless, as it should be. :) The customer service could use some improvement but that’s about it. It’s unfortunate that I have yet to find some real fresh fish here in he valley. My go to spot is Malibu fish but that’s so far! :/It is priced a few bucks more but definitely tastes fresh!
