Clean place, large for a Pickup Stix, but with only two employees the food took quite a while. To be fair, this was not the normal PUSt where the food is on a steam table. Ordering was from a menu and the food was served at the table. Food was healthy, but the brown rice was so underdone it crunched. They replaced it, but not until we got the attention of the cook, who felt he had to ask permission to bring us some white rice! Customer doesn’t like it, replace it no questions, the cashier should not have to give permission. The Thai Chicken Chile Noodles were unbelievably bland. No «kick» whatever. And not even salt, nor ordinary pepper. So with healthy entrees, prepared to order, slightly higher prices than steam table entrees, OK, but they need better control over the process

Worst service ever. Both times I have been here. The place is dead and the service is aweful. Takes 10 min just to place an order with no one in line. Management needs to do some serious customer service training. It’s obvious why this place is always so dead. Will never come back

Don’t Eat At This Pick Up Stix! Especially if you are a white person. Actually, in my opinion no one should trust the woman who manages this restaurant to prepare their food. I don’t believe this woman feels she should have to serve people, she is obviously above the job she currently has. I was in this restaurant last night. Admittedly, I arrived just before closing and while I am aware these people work long hours, there is absolutely no excuse for the manager’s behavior and her actions. The manager of this store is a young«Hispanic» woman with a smug and extremely unfriendly demeanor, who obviously doesn’t like white people. Or at least that was the impression I got just trying to pick up a late dinner for my wife. The woman manager there behaved as though I was bothering her because I ordered food.(I guess I need to be forgiven, I thought that’s what this restaurant did, SERVEFOOD) I needed to transfer money from one account to the other to pay foe the food, which obviously made her angry. But when she refused to run my credit card again, I walked next door and used the ATM. Well that then even made her more angry because although she had locked the door, I got back in when other patrons were leaving. Only to find she had cancelled my order and I guess had planned to turn me away. Then to top it off, after reluctantly accepting my order, she went back behind the counter and started behaving sneaky, she grabbed a dirty dish out of the sink and while smirking with the other cashier, she began tampering with the food for my order, all the while acting as though she was just doing her job. The other young woman had to turn away and cover her mouth while she was laughing and both women were snickering and acting like she was up to something very amusing and then the cook asked her«what she was doing» with a puzzled look on his face. The the cook looked at me and then smiled back at the manager, as if to say, go ahead… If these people don’t like their jobs or feel subservient or something, get a different job, but what kind of disgusting human being tampers with another person’s food? By the way, all white people aren’t Donald Trump lady, some of us work hard too and get home late. Sorry for the inconvenience. But you should still never try to tamper with someone’s food. This restaurant should be shut down until Stix LLC. CANFINDNEWMANAGEMENTANDNEWEMPLOYEESFORTHISLOCATION. Oh and to that Proud Hispanic Manager, you do a great disservice to all the hard working hispanics in this country. Ugly, ugly, ugly, human being. OH and BTW, I was never rude and never raised my voice and said absolutely nothing to this smug young Hispanic woman other then she could take that food home and eat it herself. I meant, I hoped she choked on it as I left after cancelling my order and receiving my money back. Also, I better not find any charges on my credit card as I know you have my cc number. WHITEPEOPLEBEWARE, this snake will bite you.

I think 2 stars is the best this place will get until they hire a few more people. This is the slowest pick up stix I have ever been to– no idea about the quality of the food may never find out cause we are ready to leave to go get McDonalds. Mexican food next door looking like it would have been the better choice.

The good, the bad, and the meh. I’ve been visiting this location since it opened, maybe 10 years ago or so. I’ve always been a fan of their house chicken, it’s pretty much the only thing I order. The house chicken at this location is usually hit or miss. I ALWAYS ask for extra sauce, because what can I say… I’m saucy. However, they are usually pretty stingy with it; so I ask for a side of house sauce as well. Also, I once bit into the head of a screw. It was quite disturbing and they did comp my next meal. But what a random experience. It is a very clean restaurant. It’s in the same shopping center as Lowe’s and Ralph’s. Right off Highway 76 and Old Grove Rd. The staff is always very helpful! They have great service; very courteous.

Very disappointed and annoyed with these people. I wish I could give zero stars. I wanted to surprise my husband for valentine’s day while I am traveling, so I called in an order. When they were 20 minutes late I called and they replied, «the driver was supposed to call you to tell you we made a mistake». So it was going to be late 1 hour late, which I understand that people make mistakes. So an hour and a half go by and I call them again(notice how they don’t call to keep you updated), after being on hold for 4 minutes the guy tells me the driver had not left yet and it will be another 30 minutes. That’s when it got a little bit too much, I even wanted to cancel my order in the beginning after the 1st delay, but one of the employees convinced me not to. Wish I hadn’t taken her advice. What a huge waste of money.

I have eaten here twice in the past and have always had a good experience, no complaints. I do a lot of, «I buy, you fly deals» for other people. Within the last 2 weeks, I have picked up enough to last for awhile now. Thanks to Brittney, Shane, Yninah, Michelle, Jr, and Manny from Am/Pm(North River/Douglas). Any veggie dish, orange chicken and cream cheese wontons they say ARE best around! Thanks to the chef’s!!! Always good food– can add up price wise, however, they do have NICE size portions! Lastly, the place is always clean from what I can see. It is always nice to see a smiling or just a welcoming greeting on someone’s face when walking into any business and here you will find it abundantly. Lilliana and Vanessa super nice and friendly. Also, if one is not sure of what he or she wants, they are always willing to give suggestions, that are good for the wallet and the stomach!

Still new in #Oceanside. Looking for good lunch spots. Stopped by to try out Pick Up Stix. Tried out their Mongolian Beef with side of egg rolls. Made fresh and great flavor. Coming back for sure. By the way they have delivery service after 5pm Thur-Sun and catering too. I also signed up for there loyalty program.

Do not order on line … I order One house chicken and they change me for three. And they say they can’t do anything about it. Don’t order on line with Pick up stick…

Giving this place two stars because the food is good but the portions are incredibly small.

Well, it was my first time here and I’m a die hard Chinese foodaholic so I won’t completely throw this place under the bus considering it is fast food ‘to a degree’. Based on the description of what I ordered and the counter ladies recommendation, I got the house special chicken with Chow mein that boasted onion, bean sprouts, celery, carrots yada yada. It was overcooked lo mein with NOTHING in the way of veggies I could see OR taste. I DON’T recommend the chow mein unless you like overcooked spaghetti with NO flavor and NO veggies. The chicken and sauce was just ok but it looked like I got the bottom of the tray shrapnel not actual chicken pieces. There’s a Chinese food, hole in the wall, in the strip mall across the parking lot from Wal Mart, Oceanside Called Quik Wok. ITISREALLY freakin’ good, run by Chinese staff not Mexican staff as Pick Up Stix is. Sorry Mexicans… ya can’t do Chinese food like the Chinese do. I would pass this joint up if I were you. Go to Panda if you want fast Chinese… Go to Quik Wok across from Wal Mart if you want GREAT Chinese, fast!

Went road tripping with my daughter, fixing a phone down by the beach. On the way home from the beach, we decided to do something unique instead of burgers, pizza and Mexican food. We stopped into Pick Up Stix and we ordered broccoli beef and garlic shrimp, which they don’t tell you does not have fried rice as an option. It’s a $ 2 upgrade per dish. We ordered cream cheese wontons and crispy fried dumplings as appetizers with two sodas(self serve). Our order was placed at 6:19PM. At 6:50, we still had not received our food. Although I did drink my watered down ice tea, at that point, I went to the register to get my money back, which they were more than happy to do so. I was the 3rd person in a row to do this. It seems that this particular franchise is not able to do anything under 30 minutes. If that’s actually the case, they should put a sign up that says«We will try to get your order to you in 30 minutes, but don’t hold your breath.» We don’t know how the food was. We watched plenty of orders go out the door. We will not be coming back.

I called ahead of time for 3 wonton soup took them 35 minutes to make it with no one there. I really get annoyed when people after me walk in order get their food while I’m still waiting for a soup that I ordered 20 minutes ago won’t be going back there anytime soon

Enjoyed the place. It was clean, the wait time was reasonable. I prefer the menu versus panda. The prices were reasonable.

It’s an average place for fast food Chinese. It’s a little more pricey for the portion you get but it seems healthier than Panda Express(panda gives more though.) We went for the lunch deals but for about $ 8.00 you get some chicken of ur choice, 2 cream cheese wontons and rice, no drink. Service is average I would have to say. Nothing special and nothing bad with this place.

The first time trying their food yesterday. I feel that their menu seems healthier than panda express. They have a lot of thai food options on their menu so I thought that was a plus since I am a fan! Although I would NOT recommend the chicken thai sweet noodles or the chicken pad thai noodles. The portion was small and not enough noodles in it so I was pretty disappointed. Service was great, they have friendly staff. But the spring rolls were very yummy!

So today I had the Kung pao shrimp, and first of all let me say that it was too mother freaking hot, not hot as in spicy but hot as in fire hot… i had a side of chow mein that tasted more like spegetti noodles soaked in orange chicken juice, w/a large orange soda of course, mmmhMM! Anyways what I’m trying to say is about an hour an a half later, I was painting my mom’s toilet regretting all $ 15’s I spent! Yes I paid $ 15 for an exploding ISH. Thanks Pick up Stix!
