Went for dinner the day before Valentines Day… a good happy hour on a Saturday is hard to find. Enjoyed a few different dishes/drink: carafe of sangria, truffle fries w/bacon aioli, pepperoni pizza, and bucatini carbonara. Tough to beat quality food at a good happy hour price. Pizza is half off during HH, fries were $ 5! Will certainly be visiting again, a great neighborhood joint.

Had the pork bellies and TriBeCa breakfast. The pork bellies were a bit salty and so were the potatoes. Good think I had some mimosas to help either the thirst. The pork tenderloin with the tribeca breakfast was sweet and very tender. The orange mimosas were on point the peach mimosas were also on point and since they are not so sweet they are easy to gulp down. Be careful haha. The staff was a little slow but it’s packed in here so get used to it. Overall I would definitely come again but call head for patio seating!

Last night was our first experience at TriBeCa and we left very satisfied. Their happy hour menu is a steal(seriously, they should consider raising their prices, I felt like I was stealing). We had the mushroom pizza which was incredible, the crust was perfect and the pesto absolutely delicious. We also had the fried oysters, really good. The service was the real star. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, checked on us at all the right times… a true pro. We saw several plates going to other tables that looked amazing but we were too full to order anything else. We will be back soon!

I was excited to try Tribeca as it’s a chill looking local place with a great looking menu and a majority of great reviews. I wanted to love it, I truly did. I wanted to sing its praises and find our new favorite restaurant. I would have even settled for simply liking it and going again from time to time. Alas, it was not to be. I won’t mince words but will get right to it. We started with an order of truffle fries and bacon aioli as it seems to be a house favorite and an order of calamari. The fries were served to us cold, which isn’t a big deal, I suppose, but not what we expected at all. The bacon aioli needs to be called what it is, though– bacon grease to dip your fries in. Garlic and olive oil and bacon grease with cold fries is not the tastiest thing I have ever encountered, to be blunt. The fried calamari was also cold so I didn’t eat much of that. My son was excited to have a «fancy pizza» as he calls it, and I was happy he could get something that I was sure he would like. But this pizza was terrible. The crust was dry like cardboard, the cheese was seriously skimped on and the pepperoni was basically something I could get on any frozen pizza from any grocery store. He hated the pepperoni and he eats pizza rolls and processed cheese, so it’s not like his palette is super refined. It was a major disappointment for him and us, since we were treating him for some good school stuff he had done and felt like we had let him down. My kid is 14 and eats like he is starving 99.9 percent of the time and he didn’t finish half of his pizza so that should tell you something. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was definitely tasty, but also served cold. My husband ordered the ribeye and it was the worst steak we have ever ordered at a restaurant like this. I couldn’t believe the quality of it. Paper thin, over seasoned and the medium rare was a medium well, cooked throughout with a miniscule hint of pink now and again. It was such a letdown. We decided to do dessert because I wanted the lemoncello cake I had read so much about but they were no longer serving it. We instead ordered the berry cobbler and the nutella cheesecake. We had a show at the Majestic to go to so time was of the essence and we were surprised at how long it took to get our desserts out, especially since the cheesecake was rock solid. It took a lot of power to cut through that sucker, lemme tell ya. My husband’s «cobbler» had zero crust. I mean it literally had NONE. There was nothing but berries. That’s not a cobbler, Tribeca, that’s a compote. Overall a very disappointing way to spend over a hundred dollars. We enjoyed the free cheese and fruit at the Majestic far more than our entire meal at Tribeca. What a waste.

Brunch here was delightful and our server, Dan, was on point. $ 15 for a large carafe of peach mimosa was a steal since we probably got 8 glasses out of it. The steak and eggs were great, horseradish cream was an excellent call with the steak. The pork belly benedict was even better. Was very juicy and had tons of flavor while the homemade english muffin was light and airy. The food could have been a bit hotter but it was busy so maybe ours were in the window a bit longer. Other than that everything was great.

Went here for IvyPlus SA night. Had a great time and the food was truly busy. So many flavors on one little pie. Will definitely be returning.

Delicious. Exceptional service, beautiful menu and ambiance. Many years in the industry leave me with high standards, and they’ve met my standards. Exceeded my expectations.

I’ve been here many times. It’s changed over the few years it’s been open as the chefs have rotated in and out. I think it’s already on the third one. The food has declined a bit after the departure of the previous chef who struck off on his own venture. Generally speaking the food is good here, and it’s close to our house so we keep coming back. Service sucks. Consistently. Expect to wait at least 20 min or more to get your first cocktail or wine. I’m not talking about at the bar during happy hour. I’m talking about at your table for a seated meal in the evening. That has been the most consistent experience about the place. And one time I had to send back a martini 3 times because it was first incorrect, then watery, and then just bad in an indescribable way. Food service varies. Last night was terrible. We both ordered the Brussels Sprouts. Mine came out but not hers. Instead, her other small plate was brought. Odd. She didn’t get hers until 40 min later when I got my other dish. Both of our sprouts were very overcooked to a charred finish. I also ordered the cioppino. I waited 40 min for it to come out. It actually came just barely warm. Since it took so long you would expect it to be piping hot fresh off the stove. The lobster bits were way undercooked. I complained. No apologies from the waitress. No offer to remake or bring something else. No effort was made to have the manager stop by, which happens to be the owner who was in the restaurant as usual that evening. No discount for the dish that I couldn’t finish eating since the food wasn’t cooked. Ridiculous. We also ordered the truffle fries again which are fabulous. And they come with a tasty aioli of some kind. Sadly, I think we’re finally giving up on this place.

Went last night for dinner. They take reservations which is great although not that busy last night. Sat outside and it was comfortable. My husband ordered the Caesar salad– it want cold and really only lettuce and not enough dressing… But the bread underneath it was warm and yummy! He also had cippino which was good– ask for more bread– and he would have liked it a little spicer. I had scallops and Brussels sprouts both were delicious. Service was good!

Went there on a Saturday afternoon and Had a few appetizers. Tried the caesar salad, veggie pizza and the truffle fries. The salad was flavorful-the lettuce was charred and the dressing was great. The pizza had a nice flavor– wish it had a little more sauce and toppings on it. Saved the best for last: the truffle fries-delicious! Also had a few cucumber martinis-5 $ during hh and made with cinco vodka! Keeping this in our happy hour rotation!

This location in Olmos Park has been many faces, and that can sometimes keep you from trying a new place and missing out on such wonderful cuisine; such was my experience with Tribeca. It is 5:15pm on Wednesday and hunger hits. On my drive home I pass by this familiar building in Olmos Park, one which has been so many faces before, and feel as if it is time to stop in for a spell. The signage in the front beckoning for you to partake in happy hour is so inviting, along with the grandiose wooden door at the entrance. Walking in the restaurant you are greeted with the warm colors of the walls and dark wood furniture. I take a seat in the bar which is reminiscent of a sunroom or solarium. The windows allow the visual outdoors to be part of the experience but keep the radiant heat out. My waiter, Daniel, was very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the food. I ordered a French75, Truffle Fries with Bacon Aioli, Margherita Pizza, and the polenta; because I am very picky about my polenta. The French75 was the best I have had for a long time and even rivaled that of the Esquire Tavern. It was so crisp and clean, but also had a great punch to it. The truffle fries were matchstick cut, but crisp and flavorful. No, they were freaken addicting. The truffle salt and Pecorino Romano cheese along with the bacon aioli just made wish I had walked for an extra hour. Now, let’s address the pizza. Barbaro, take a lesson; this is a place where I would come for a great neighborhood personal size pizza. Fresh cheese, light sauce, crisp flavorful dough, and FRESHBASIL for only $ 5!!! Yes, I will be back. The polenta was not as creamy as I would have like it, but I would order it again because I love polenta as a comfort food and it was pretty flavorful with the Parmigiano-Reggiano. BUTWAIT, THERE’S MORE… Daniel came by and boxed up my food to go and offered me dessert. Oh no, I couldn’t…but did you say Limoncello Cake. Damn it!!! I can’t pass up homemade Limoncello cake. I’m glad I didn’t. If you go to Tribeca, you have to have this cake. I died after the first bite of lemony creamy goodness. Then I came back to life to eat the rest of it. People, this is no joke. Freaken awesome food at a great price(in this Chef’s opinion). I will definitely recommend this place to people. I can’t wait to come back and try the quail and shrimp with polenta. Next time I’m walking to dinner.

Tonight was the second time I have eaten here. I absolutely love the food! We started with the grilled Cesar salad… yup…I did say grilled. What a concept; the grilled lettuce provided just enough of a smokey flavor that sent this experience over the top! As my husband does many times; he did a carbon copy of what I ordered. We got the grilled salmon and requested to have it cooked medium. Presentation was equal to flavor; cooked and presented to perfection. The salmon sat on top of mushrooms and crisp asparagus and had an artistic display of a balsamic reduction on the side; and get this, under the veggies was a lick your plate clean turnip purée. The meal was a perfect portion. Richie was our server and let us know that the purée changes because they try and do as much farm to table as possible; this makes me so happy to know this! We will be back! Thank you Richie for making our dinner more pleasant with the warm friendly service you provided!

Went to Sunday brunch here awhile back and while the food was good, the service was atrocious We were there for about 3 hrs and had a waitress who seemed to care less about us than her cell phone behind the bar. At the end of the brunch, we paid our checks. Then the waitress approaches the table again and says«the tip reflected sh**ty service» We couldn’t believe it… we tipped 20%. But more importantly she had the audacity to come up to us and cuss at us? Incredible We told the owner immediately after and he actually scoffed at it like it was no big deal! Wow. We will never be back to TriBeCa and really recommend you don’t ever go.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by the owner, Jean François, who was very attentive and charismatic. I immediately loved the upscale, airy vibe of the place with a Mediterranean look that reminded me much of Hollywood bars. With an outside patio with bar that reminded me of great experiences and future great experiences to be, I was in awe! Had to have the sangria everyone was raving about & wasn’t disappointed! The only thing that could of used improvement was the cleanliness of the establishment & perhaps a division or sign between the smoking and non smoking patio. Other than that I had a great first experience! Definitely will be returning for dinner…

My friends and I went to Tribeca to celebrate the end of our first year of graduate school. The day was nice and the environment was lively and popping on the outdoor patio. We sat inside and the décor was relatively nice as well. It was happy hour and my group had gotten to the restaurant early. We ordered a $ 10 sangria carafe and $ 5 truffle fries(with bacon flavored aioli) to pass the time while we waited for the others. Sangria was a good amount for the price and average/good. It wasn’t super strong though and I wished they put more real fruit in it. The truffle fries were delicious and crispy. There is enough to share between 2 – 3 people. They were nice crispy and seasoned well with parmesan and garlic. The aioli was bacon flavored and gone quickly. I ordered the parpadalle pesto pasta with chicken and mushrooms. Their pasta noodles are are fresh and made in house. I’d rate this dish a 3.5÷5. I think the pasta was slightly undercooked, but I enjoyed the nuts and mushrooms in the dish with the sauce. The chicken was well cooked and I appreciate that they used a rotisserie sort of chicken in the dish. I tried my friend’s sausage pizza and it was relatively good. My friend’s butternut squash risotto that came with her scallops were also delicious. The bread that comes out before the meal isn’t that great though and the sauce is just olive oil. Very bland. The prices here are reasonable and the menu has a decent variety of things to choose from. Overall, I recommend Tribeca and would like to try the brunch sometime.
