Not expecting a pristine palace, but a room without holes in the bathroom sink cabinet and mysterious stains on the headboard would be nice. It started when we first arrived. My honest husband was checking in and mentioned our pet cat and inquired about the pet fee. The manager gruffly informed him that there was no mention of a cat on the reservation and grumbled that if our cat peed on anything we would have to pay for it. Then I guess he went on about how the room we are in has recently been refurbished, etc. my husband asked for the cat fee receipt and was told to come tomorrow for it. Then we saw our room. Interesting oil-like marks on the headboard, hole in the bathroom cabinet, a closet light that does not work, a door lock that has been mostly removed, and other strange markings on the bedspread. After laughing about these disgusting sights, my husband informs me that I should check out the pool. Yeah, it’s brown and about ¾ empty. I truly feel that the brown pool water is an accurate image one can recall when thinking of the experience of this place. I only hope the grime does not remain with me after I leave. I suppose I could drown my sorrows and get turnt with the people from the other rooms who seems to be congregating in the parking lot.

I have stayed here two times for multiple nights each visit. It was bad 4 years ago, but it’s only gotten worse since. Due to attending a conference in town, we have stayed here twice because it’s one of the cheaper hotels in town, but they raise the prices during the conference, so this room was by no means cheap! It was more than $ 80/night! The rooms are dirty and old. I couldn’t even sleep decently because I was scared of bed bugs and other bugs. I didn’t want to touch anything, and when I did, I immediately washed my hands afterwards. And I didn’t want my luggage to touch anything either. I actually put my bags up by the bathroom counter. This is also a welfare hotel, where many of their customers actually live there. We heard a man in the lobby talking about how his social worker had arranged it. Last time we were there, the cops had come to handle something or other. There’s just a lot of seedy people hanging around here. I saw a suspicious woman loitering and soliciting last time we were there, which may have been why the cops came. There’s also a pool in the middle of the parking lot, but I have never seen it open. There is free wi-fi, so that was pretty nice, but that’s about the only thing nice. I really wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re desperate. If I find myself in Omaha again, I would definitely stay in Council Bluffs or another town if the hotels are all booked up over staying here again.

ok, if you’re picky or you aren’t tight on funds, don’t stay here. don’t get me wrong — my one night stay wasn’t horrible, but the place is just plain OLD. It’s in a decent area of town and close to civilization(major mall is 2 minutes away), but at first blush it reminds you of a seedy motel. The hotel office was clean, and reminds you of any howard johnson or econo lodge hotel. The clerk was a little creepy looking but knew what he was doing and gave decent customer service(just wasn’t mr. sunshine). The room — well, I slept with the lights on and I immediately got on my laptop and looked up «indicators for bed bugs». Everything seemed fine though — the wifi worked great, the hot water came on right away, but every fixture, every piece of furniture, everything i saw except for the surge protector, was OLDASHELL. I only stayed here b/c i was in a hurry and it was just for one night, but with all the choices out there, I wouldn’t do it again.
