Came here on valentine day. Had a blast in a new atmosphere. Love there table and chair. We had the seafood mix plater mix with lime and butter. Seafood fried rice and the thickess clam chowder. The place is roomy and service are excellent. Couldn’t be happier anywhere else this day. Price might be little high but it’s seafood. Definitely come again.

This is really 3.5 stars. The service was good and our order came out almost instantly. The only problem, and this is a big one, is that our lobster seemed slightly undercooked. The meat looked a little translucent and it was sticking to the shell. We also noticed that the lobster wasn’t cleaned properly. We found black gooey stuff inside, which we think were the guts. We could’ve let the staff know about this issue, but didn’t since we had a lot of food left to eat, so we just put it aside. The staff seemed friendly enough, and I think they would’ve corrected the problem if we had mentioned it. I recommend this place, but be sure to check your food before you start eating.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The vibe is perfect– paper of the tables, nice and casual with an open kitchen. We happened to come in during happy hour(score) I got a 20 oz draft Pacifico for $ 7. Also a ½ dozen oysters was $ 7.50. The sweet potato fries and Brussels were great. I had the lobster roll for dinner it was good but I did not like the chat marks on the bun. My husband had boiled shrimp with sausage in Cajun seasoning– it was so much food– I ate a bunch of his shrimp too. This is a seafood only kind of joint, don’t come here expecting a small selection of steak or chicken. There were a couple vegetation options though– the garlic noodles looked awesome. Sadly, I doubt I will ever be back since I live out of state but it was a great meal.

Food was fantastic and service was great! Cami was our waitress.. I had the house Cajun Dirty fried rice and my other half had build your own catch … Peeled Cajun broiled shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn. One serving was enough to feed 3 – 4 people… Delicious!!!

Meh. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Being from the SEUSA, I’m a little biased about my shrimp. I ordered the cajun boiled shrimp with sausage. The flavoring was way too heavy for shrimp. It wasn’t spicy, just ‘heavy’ and overpowering. I tried to wipe as much of the seasoning off as I could but it was just too much. Sausage was just OK — I didn’t finish it all. I will say, though, that considering how much seafood they serve here, the place was clean and did not smell like a fish market. Servers were friendly and helpful. Might try it again sometime to try something else on the menu but this is not a ‘destination’ when I’m in town.

Yum!!! Angelica was a very sweet waitress and took the time to explain to us everything on the menu for our first time here. Thank you Angelica! Beers on tap, full bar. Already a bonus. Service was quick(except when we were waiting for someone to take our credit card to pay our bill) and managers came by to check on us and say hi which I thought was cool. TVs EVERYWHERE showing football game yay! Food: everything we had was delicious. Seafood house Cajun garlic noodles were delicious. Very flavorful full of sausage and seafood. Had an Asian zing to it and was way better than expected. Clam chowder soooooooo good. Thick with clams still in the shell! Very creamy and buttery. Yum. Boiled shrimp and clams in spicy Cajun sauce: not too oily and very flavorful. Nice spice to the flavored sauce and the shrimp wasn’t mushy. Clams were also good… surprisingly did not find any closed clams :) We will absolutely be back!

We eat pretty good in Chicago. Gotta know where to go, and a lot of the best places wouldn’t budge the«Trend-o-meter», but it’s a helluva town in which to put the feed bag on. Still. When I come to Cali, it’s not a stretch to say I always think I’m missing out on the really great places to dine. After all, there is «In-N-Out»(even though when you get down to the grit, Culver’s is FAR superior), and Vietnamese joints on seemingly every corner, and whole bunches of other great places that I know I’ll never get to. So when I found myself deep in the Inland Empire and quite peckish, the same old bullshit chains weren’t going to do. I had seen«the Big Catch» and it intrigued me. It was either that or a Sushi joint, and I went for seafood. It was a big room with high communal tables. The bar looked substantial, and the open kitchen looked busy and serious. The waitron was a bubbly gal who scrawled her name large on the butcher-paper table covering. I grabbed her Sharpie and wrote my name large below hers, it seemed like a silly thing to do and she got the joke. There was a wine special, and I ordered a Chardonnay. the gal came back with a heroic pour of… Merlot. I kept it. Red wine with seafood? I don’t stand on ceremony. I popped a half-order of smelts for appetizer. You can take the Boy out of Chicago, but you can’t take the Chicago out of the boy. The smelts(pronounced SHMELTZ) were at least great. I then went with the strange combo of Garlic Shrimp and Sausage with rice. The shrimps were as fab as the smelts, the rice was of the«fried» variety and astounding. The Sausage not so. Didn’t matter, the portion of Shrimp was grand, and the Rice was addictive. I left most of the sausage on the plate without guilt. The service was fab, the vibe of the place was, too. The check? Not spectacularly cheap, but not too dear either. Worth it, is what it was. Don’t know if or when I will get back to this neighborhood, but I understand Big Catch is a burgeoning chain in Southern Cali, and hope there is a store near my next port of call…

I am very impressed with the food presentation, service, cleanliness and full bar with plenty of tvs to watch your fav sport. The food was delicious and not a pocket buster in price. I will definitely be coming back and making this place one of my favs! If you are in the Ontario area, you need to try this place. Tell them Tomme sent you!

It seems like the food quality has gotten much better since the last time we were here. We got the King crab and some corn and potatoes. We also had the oysters. I had the Fannie Bay and my date had the Kumiai. This was a very enjoyable visit. The servers were attentive, the beer cold, and the food fresh!

First off, our server RIO was awesome! Look for her when you’re here. We came in to check it out and to be honest, the food is very good. I ate so much that I’m in a food coma… Try the shrimp tacos ;)

Food allergies!!! Was very excited to try this new place in the local area… I am a sea food lover but one«catch“I am allergic to shrimp… I always let restaurants know this and they always figure out away to accommodate me as a paying customer… This place basically started off saying I don’t think you should eat here … Then waitress said let me check with cook and came back and said no everything is cooked next to shrimp… So, if you have a food allergy this place will NOT accommodate you…

Ok, allow me to start off by stating that I do believe that this restaurant has potential; however, it’s severely lacking in key areas. Our server was kind and attentive and you could tell that he certainly tried his best so I give him 5 stars for effort. Now, when you’re a restaurateur you make money by doing up selling and add-ons. Don’t immediately ask«Would you like water?» when instead you should suggest trying xyz beverage. Or, «We just began carrying a magnificent new imported beer. Would you all care for one or perhaps instead you’d care for zyd?». You’re missing out on up selling and also building rapport with your clients. The more rapport you build, the more successful you’ll be in the future. The best advertising you can create is word of mouth. Get your clients to advertise about how amazing it was on Facebook, Twitter or simply by talking to a friend. This also means more in tips. ;) Now, the food. Perhaps the majority of the food on the menu is incredible. It certainly did look it. What we ordered(I had Snow Crab, my wife had 1lb which didn’t look quite like a pound of shrimp and my child had shrimp and noodles) was — less than optimal. My crab truly tasted as if it had been frozen. My child’s calamari(Part of the dish) was brutally overcooked and my wife’s shrimp was good aside from the cilantro lime sauce. That sauce was really — not pleasant — at all. So I gave a bad review; however, again, I do see tremendous potential in this restaurant. You have an amazing bar, a premier location and a very quaint atmosphere. Take the bull by the horns! Make the BUSINESS your product rather than what you sell. Create systems and procedures to ensure that the clients experience is identical every single time regardless of who waits on them or anything else. Train your servers to up sell. Train them in the art of selling. Face it, as a server you ARE a salesman! I apologize if this seems like a scathing review. That was not my intent. There are so many things that could be done at this restaurant to catapult you to the very top if you simply implement checks, balances and true and tried systems. If the owner wishes to contact me for any additional information please feel free to send me a message.

This new joint is a refreshing addition to the eateries in Rancho Cucamonga! We some here for a light Sunday lunch and ended up leaving stuffed as ever. Their diverse menu gives you tons of choices and since we wanted to try a variety of their sea food dishes we ordered more than we could handle. We ordered a whole fried tilapia, salmon filet, shrimp and mussels. Everything was excellent. The tilapia was a little bitter as the seasoning on the skin had burned a little on the grill. But the meat was delicious, the salmon was cooked to perfection and the shrimp was phenomenal. We will definitely be back as it was a great experience. The service was great and the restaurant is conveniently located by the freeway and has a huge large parking lot. Totally recommend for anyone in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. First time here and it exceeded my expectations. Starting with the outside there’s ample parking and the location is convenient right off the freeway away from the major busy malls. The restaurant is roomy and has a nice contemporary look to it. Staff is nice and friendly and at the time I ate here for lunch there was no wait. The food is very good, made to perfection. There’s ample choices of seafood and you can taste the freshness. They also have a full bar. Pricing is not too steep, worth what you’re getting.

First time trying this not bad at all. You get what you pay for! The sauce isnt like your typical boiling crab of bucket crab. I would say the sauce is a lil more tangy. The fried rice was really goood !

It’s are second time here since my bday in August, now for my wife’s second chance bday celebration and our waitress Adriana was awesome. Came for the happy hour and had ordered 3 pitchers of Shock Top with fresh cut oranges, calamari and a dozen of fresh cold oysters. It was yum yum yum delicious! We ordered 2lbs of peeled shrimp, 1lbs of non peeled shrimp, all with Sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. Thank you Adriana for the good service and the desert remembering my wife’s Bday.

Good to have options! We got two pounds of crawfish, side of steamed rice. We weren’t sure about the spice levels so we ordered the Cajun dice and spicy Cajun on the side. We also got A beer and a pink sangria. Since it was 4:30pm on a Sunday, we got happy hour prices. Nice! The food was good and a good option to have if you are in the area. The place itself is bright and spacious. There are plenty of tables and lots of room for large groups. They do serve with pelted and silverware. It’s located just off the 10 freeway and Milliken. Note: there’s still a Unilocal checkin coupon for a free pound of shrimp or crawfish. It’s supposed to have expired back in June but they were still honoring it when we visited.

Came here in hopes of this place being an EMC alternative with better prices and portions. Well, the prices and portions are pretty good, the taste will not have me coming back over EMC or just in general. The quality of the seafood in our seafood boil, clams & shrimp along with the non seafood of sausage and corn were really good in quality and perfectly cooked compared to Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab. We opted for the peeled shrimp and were a little worried that it might be over cooked without the shell, but they were succulent with the perfect amount of spring in each bite. However, the sauce was so completely overpoweringly SALTY and sour we weren’t able to finish the dish. Waiting for our garlic noodles to come in hopes that this would cut the saltiness of the seafood… Sigh nope. These garlic noodles are nothing like the kind you order at EMC, Kickin Crab, Crustacean, or AnQi. The garlic noodles here are cooked in the same spicy Cajun sauce that the seafood is cooked in. So not only do the noodles not help cut the saltiness of your seafood boil dish, but the flavors get pretty monotonous. Some people who have never tried the garlic noodles at the places I mentioned above might like Big Catch’s noodles, but for those who are expecting them to be what I had hoped for will be disappointed. Fried calamari was tasty and cooked perfectly, however 80% of the calamari in our order were cooked into a single giant piece. Also a few pieces in our order were just straight up batter, like substantial pieces of batter. For the actual calamari, it was yummy. But overall grade is a B– Crispy smelt, now these were good! Nothing to complain about here, perfectly crisp and seasoned. And $ 4! Yes! Wing with jalapeño salt. These were okay, but you could go to any Chinese dim sum and HK café in the 626 area and you can get better or equal in taste and quality. Pinky and I love oysters. We go to tons of oyster bars just to try different types and really have had some of the best and freshest. Honestly we could spend hundreds in a sitting just on them. Last night at Big Catch we had the fanny bay and kumiai. Idk if it was just last night’s batch, but I would not ever order them again if I happened to be here or recommend them to anyone. They were not fresh at all, yes I ate them. But I ate them while praying that I don’t get diarrhea on the way home. My prayer worked, I got it after I got home. In addition to not being fresh, all of them had a ridiculous amount of shell in them. Geez louise. Their Pepperwood Grove Cabernet was actually pretty decent I think they let it air out a little so it was smooth. Service was good, friendly enough, but not very educated in their wines. The food came out in a decent amount of time so no complaints there. Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back. The seafood was cooked well but the sauce is what I go to places like these for. And their sauce is just way too salty and sour for my tastes. Ease up on the lemon and salt, please! I took the leftovers home to my salt loving sister and dad, the verdict being the same as mine. I think some people might like it, esp if they eat it with rice or garlic bread, but for me it’s a fail. They had some good solid points, but in the end, for someone who lives in the middle of LA/OC/Ontario, near Boiling Crab & Kicking Crab. This would not be an option for me.

Coming from well seasoned places such as boiling crab and claw in oc, my expectations for the big catch weren’t too high. I was slightly disappointed that only frozen crawfish was available(only fresh for me!), and for 11 bucks/lb, it’s on the higher end of the price spectrum. Went here with a group of 4, we got to order a couple things from the menu. Lobster roll– tasty, yet smallish for 16 bucks Cajun garlic noodles– cooked al dente, noodles had lots of Cajun, little garlic 1 lb Shrimp boil with spicey Cajun– seasoning lacked kick, flavor was okay 1 lb peeled shrimp with Cajun– seasoning lacked kick, shrimp on the dry side Zucchini fries– THIS is how zucchini should be cooked. Amazeballs! Fried brussel sprouts– meh. Not a must try, but ok. Service was friendly, this place is roomy so orders might take a little time to get to your table. On the plus side, Beer list is extensive, also the menu contains more items than your average crawfish house, good for those that don’t want crawfish or can’t decide. Overall okay experience, there is lots of room for improvement.
