I really like this place; it’s got fresh sauerkraut and pickles, frozen pierogi, sausage, soups and kolacky. Those items are clearly the things that I buy, but they really have a nice selection of other Polish food. They’ve always been friendly when I’ve gone there and one young girl in particular was super helpful in my quest to try some sausage that I’d never had before. Get the garlic sausage, you won’t regret it!

Just found that they carry my favorite Polish bottled water, which I ‘ve been looking high and low for unsuccessfully. Thrilled – and it’s cheaper than the one other place I know that carries it(tho they’re always out.) While I was in there buying my water it smelled incredible. Don’t know what it was, but am eager to find out.

I went to the post office this morning(next to the deli) at 8:15 A.M., looked in the window as I passed by and there was someone behind the counter slicing large pound cake into smaller sections and wrapping them. Not only was she not wearing gloves she was eating pound cake while repackaging it. Then she waived at me totally oblivious. Do they handle meat in the same fashion? Not open so no one sees? Someone always sees. This place is not for me. Not sanitary for this reason alone.

Went here a few weeks ago with the family, after Sunday church… they used have a better selections of deli, and homemade items, and service… But after this recent visit, we will not be supporting this locale. I will say the service this recent visit was like, od ruska bez alkoholu. Got Pissy attitude from deli counter, to check out, from the same employee. We wanted to purchase a box of polo wafer bars, the box wasn’t full, at check out the employee, had such a issue with counting each wafer bar, i just told him to forget the purchase. Will not shop here anymore! Ludzie bez kurtury nie poczebujom mojego biznesu!

Wouldn’t recommend. Surprised to see people calling this authentic Polish food. The potato pancakes are like greasy hockey pucks, very Heavy and unappetizing. You can get better, and fresher Kolacky at Jewel. All in all a big disappointment.

We stumbled across this place by complete accident It is kind of off the main drag in Orland Park so if you did not know it was there, you would not be able to see this place from the road. If you are looking for an excellent selection of Polish food then you have ound the place you need to go to satisfy your needs.

Pleasant deli in the midst of the Orland Park business district along La Grange Road. They offer standard East European products, a deli and carry hot food choices. Why settle for deli meats from Jewel or Dominicks when you can get higher quality at a better price here. The carryout meal is $ 4.95. There is no place to sit down in the store.

Its a little Polish deli in a strip mall set pretty far off Lagrange — so you might miss it if youre not looking for it. They sell all kinds of polish grocery items, deli meats and cold salads, and hot bar food. Whenever I’m visiting my parents, who live in Orland, and I have a massive craving for some polish comfort food, I stop into Gorka. Love their sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi, their potato pancakes have a great crispiness around the edges and soft potato shreds in the center, great meats like polish sausage, chicken and pork cutlets, and stuffed cabbage. I got a giant lunch that will last me 3 days of pierogis, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, and dumplings. Yum

Great meat and cheese selection, lots of different breads, frozen pierogi, polish butter, weird sodas, and everything you’d expect from a Polish/Eastern European deli. Best of all they have Kinder Surprise eggs which are difficult to find in the US since being banned by the FDA(under a silly rule imo). The staff has been friendly and helpful every time I’ve been in there. This place is easy to miss as it’s nestled in a strip mall.
