This place is great. The décor is cool, the staff is friendly, and the food is amazing. The soda bread appetizer is always welcome after a long day of walking around. The Irish-themed food is tasty and a good representation of the Irish culture. If you aren’t in to Irish food, they also offer plenty of other selections. In terms of comparing this place with the other park restaurants, the food is well above par. The prices are reasonable and the drinks are great too. The portions are large, so make sure you bear that in mind while ordering. There is always a wait, but they will text you when your table is ready, so definitely plan on walking around for at least 20 or so minutes while you wait.

Janice is a wonderful bartender. Great place to hangout in air condition on a hot day while everyone is riding the rides or it starts to rain. I ordered a Margarita even if the drinks are measured they are pretty good. There is a live band. Pretty loud with all the talking but it cancels all the noise from the outside. The veggie burger is really really good, pleasantly surprised. Happy eating

Nice location it very slow. Ordered simple fish and chips and they were cold. No one ever came back to check on me to see if everything was ok. I gave up trying to flag someone down and just ate cold fish

Best place at Studios to have a meal. I love the food and environment here. Service was quick and good was better than the grab and go options. If you figure a turkey leg and chips is $ 14, then sitting down to a chicken sandwich for $ 12 isn’t bad at all! I much prefer it.

We came in for some simply good food and we got that and then some. Yes, the soda bread and apple butter are out of this world. The service is even better(sit in Maria’s area – she’s incredibly smart, quick and ONIT!). I asked for the pistachio crusted salad with Cod and it was especially made to AMAZINGNESS!

Wasn’t expecting to find something so excellent in universal studio, food wise. The Irish soda bread that came with my Cobb salad was warm and delicious, with a ton of butter on the side. The salad was great as well. :) Portion is a bit too large for me but that’s a common issue. Very reasonably priced(11.99)! For being in a theme park, or even just generally. Oh yes, and there was live soft rock music :) great atmosphere and not too loud at all.

Cool restaurant inside of universal studios. The bangers and mash were great and I love the Scottish eggs. A little overpriced, but that is expected when you eat at the parks. The atmosphere was very Irish and the wait staff was on point. My husband fish and chips were just okay. Would eat there again when we go back

This is a great Irish bar inside the universal studios. The waitress was extremely friendly and provided fast service. I ordered a Irish Cobb salad. It was the best Cobb salad I’ve had! It came with a variety fresh vegetables and an Irish egg. You have to try it if you are in the mood for a salad. My boyfriend had fish and chips. It was pretty good but not outstanding. The fish pieces were big and tastes fresh. It’s a good standard British dish you can count on.

This is one of my favorite places to pop into while visiting Universal Studios. I haven’t eaten here in a long time so I can’t comment on the food; it’s the atmosphere I enjoy most. Finnegan’s is an Irish bar with lots of seating available at the bar or some near by tables that are not part of the restaurant seating. During the afternoon there is live entertainment in the way of a singer and his guitar. Even when it’s busy, I find this place relaxing and the air conditioning is always a nice escape from the outside. Service is always good and the drinks are stronger than you might expect from a theme park. You can drink there or take them to go depending on your plans.

For being a restaurant inside of a theme park, this place is really freaking awesome. In addition to my most recent trip to Universal, I came two years ago to the same restaurant and I have nothing but good memories from here. I got the Shepard’s Pie and a G&T. I’m not exactly sure what Shepard’s Pie is supposed to taste like because I’ve never had it before but I really enjoyed what I got. Also there is a long bar area to get drinks while you wait for your table, which can take a while considering the limited food options in the park. Altogether an enjoyable experience.

We decided to start our tour around Universal by stopping here first. We just came here for one drink. I ordered a Margarita. It was strong and smooth at the same time. It was quite pricey but it’s expected from a themed park. Overall, not bad.

The potato and leak soup is just superb. I gave my daughter a spoon to taste and she finished mine. :) The string potato and onion is nicely done. Chicken pie was very nice. I would order it again when I visit next time. Buffalo chicken wings got a high mark from my wife and fish and chips from my daughter. Over all 5*.

Finegans gets 4 stars for a great sit down bar and grill I the center of universal. The food is average Irish pub fair. I would give the food 3 stars prob for an Irish pub. Location is terrific. Service is usually pretty good. I would recommend reservations. Bar area with tvs.

Sadly I have to update my review after a less than favorable experience. Service-wise it was okay. We had reservations and that went okay. The problem was that out of 7 of us, only ONE person had a tasty meal. TIP: Order salad here! Husband had the Beef & Blue Salad and loved it. The last time we were here I had a salad and loved it. TIP2: Don’t order anything that involves mashed taters! Boxed? Frozen? Not sure what the problem was, but they sure didn’t taste like fresh real taters. Totally tasteless actually. At least the ones on my Dingle Seafood Pie. I mean, what can go wrong with a description like this: Fresh Salmon, Cod & Shrimp in a light cream sauce crowned with mashed potatoes and baked golden brown, topped with aged cheddar cheese. Root cellar vegetables. $ 14.99. Well the fake tasting taters, that’s what. The seafood, while minimal was cooked properly, but the light cream sauce was so light that it had no flavor whatsoever. Cheese had no flavor. And those root veggies were boiled and tasteless with a bit of white sauce that was also tasteless. UGH. So disappointing. Meanwhile, the Bangers and Mash gal was appalled(and rightfully so) that there was NOGRAVY. Really?! Note to restaurant: at least you could cover up the fake taters with some good gravy! Or ANY gravy, really. Sigh, we did start with an order of the Potato & Onion Webb, which did taste good but nobody could eat too much of it because it was so greasy. Then there were the three Vegans who shared a couple«Black Bean» Burgers. At one point one shouted out, «I found a black bean!» ’nuff said. sigh. At least Husband was happily scarfing down his fresh delicious Beef & Blue Salad, while the rest of us wished we had also ordered salads.

If you are very hungry, this isn’t the place to go. The wait for the food was very long even though we were seated immediately. The Onion Web was awesome. We gobbled it up while waiting for our entrees. We didn’t think the three of us would finish it in that one sitting, but we did! The meal also came with Irish soda bread which was a yummy treat. I had a café mocha which was also very good. The entrees weren’t that good. The portions were fair but my Bangers & Mash included questionable-tasting sausage. The seafood pie was okay and the Cobb salad was a nice meal.

I think Finnegan’s is a really solid alternative to other Universal Studios park fare. We made a reservation at the kiosk just inside the park(by the main entrance). I highly recommend this course of action because the wait-list is long through out the whole day. We checked in with the hostess at 1:15pm for a 1:30pm reservation. She had my cell phone number and said that as soon as the table was ready, she would text me. Sure enough, at 1:29pm, we were texted and seated at a table inside the restaurant. It’s typical Irish pub fare. There is complimentary soda bread and butter to nibble on while perusing the menu. The prices are pretty fair considering it’s located inside a theme park. We started with the Finnegan’s Potato and Onion Webb($ 6.99) — it was beer battered, deep fried, fatty goodness. My sister got the Irish Chicken Stingers($ 7.99) which were very tasty as well. My Mom went with the Irish Cobb Salad($ 11.99) and it was so generous you couldn’t even see the lettuce through the toppings. I decided on the Grand Olé Burger($ 11.99). I asked for medium-rare, but I got medium-well(almost well as there was virtually no pink) so I would suggest that you order down(ask for rare if you want medium-rare). The burger tasted great, even cooked beyond my liking, it was still juicy. Wedge fries and pickle on the side were also delish. The service was quick and we enjoyed having a proper sit down inside the park rather than staying on our feet and table service rather than fast food. I would definitely recommend!

If you’re looking for some good food that doesn’t taste like it’s pre-made somewhere and has been sitting under heating lamps, this is a really good place at Universal Studios Orlando to go. You can sit down and eat with your friends and family while taking a break from the park. Finnegan’s has an Irish feel and your popular Irish fare and Irish beer of course. While waiting, the Irish Soda Bread is a great starter, especially is your starving. The apple butter that comes with it is a really nice contrast to the dense soda bread. It also comes with a little regular butter as well. The onion and potato webb appetizer was a fried crispy oniony pile of goodness. I liked mine with a little malt vinegar… pucker. The chicken tenders appetizer is large enough for a meal for one person. My son said they were crispy and good. My other son got the webb burger and said it was just ok. Not a lot of ‘burger’ taste. My husband loved his Fish and Chips today. I had a bite and the fish(cod?) was flaky and the batter was crispy, not mushy at all. My huge Cobb Salad was delish. It had plenty of bacon, tomato, blue cheese crumbles and a nice scotch egg In the center that gave it a nice presentation. It also looked like it had some pickled onion relish as well. Yummo. We always like to go here to sit a spell and have some good food.

I love me some good pot pie. We stumbled across this place while at Universal Studios and decided to give it a try. I’m so happy we did. The food was great and the prices are more than reasonable for a sit-down restaurant inside a theme park. I took a quick glance at the menu and went straight for the shepherd’s pie. It was SOGOOD. The meat inside was packed with flavor, and the crust was perfect. The top of the pot pie is literally a layer of mashed potatoes – very rich and creamy. I thought it was the perfect size too. I was satisfied but not stuffed. I wasn’t a fan of the vegetables that came along with this dish, though. They were very very bland, and tasted almost soggy. But I was satisfied enough with the pot pie that this didn’t really bother me. The soda bread that they give you at the beginning is also very good! Try the sauce/spread that comes with it. It’s very unique and very good! Overall, I was very pleased with this place. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the park.

We read so many great reviews on this place and had to try it out. We walked in around 6PM and to put delight, there were tons of tables available. We were seated down at a booth and it took awhile for a waitress to come by. We were finally served our drink and given some soda bread and apple butter. OMG, the apple butter and soda bread were totally delicious. I had to stop myself from eating the entire thing. I started off with split pea soup and when it came out, I was a little disturbed with the way it looked. It looked like green vomit plopped into a bowl. However, I knew that it wasn’t going to look totally pretty and decided to try it. It actually was pretty good. Next came our entrees. I had the Shepherds Pie and mistakenly agreed to put processed American Cheese on it. The Shepherds Pie was delicious but I could of done without the cheese. It’s a big portion so you can definitely share it. My hubby ordered the fish & chips and he thought it was alright. He ate maybe a couple of bites and just stopped. Our waitress was what made me really upset. She was super cold to us but friendly to every other table around us. I actually thought out about getting up and leaving. I’m a very straight forward person and started speaking very loudly to my hubby about how we were being treated. About 1 hour in, she started to be nicer to us, but I was beyond pissed and annoyed. I would never return to this place. The food is decent but our server was terrible.

My family goes to Universal every year during Thanksgiving week. Finnegan’s is definitely our favorite restaurant in the park. Theme park restaurants typically serve quickly, and you kind of resign yourself to eating lower quality food. That is not the case at Finnegan’s. Their menu is great and the food & drinks are quite delicious! As you probably guessed by the name, Finnegan’s is styled after the pubs/eateries in Ireland. The interior is decorated beautifully. The bar looks just like the ones in Ireland. Their menu is primarily Irish, but they also serve the standard staples for picky eaters. I usually order the Guinness milkshake. It is divine! It’s the perfect treat on a hot day in Florida. As for the food, I recommend the Shepard’s Pie and the Fish & Chips. The breading is light and delicious. The food is always served hot and in a timely fashion. They manage to consistently serve quality meals, while still moving quickly enough to accommodate the large crowds in Universal. We rarely wait more than 15 minutes to be seated. All around great dining experience!
