Very roll and teppan heavy menu, so go elsewhere if you are looking for a place with fish other than the usual variety. They didn’t have any special catch of the days. The sashimi I did order was not sliced very well either. And I’m concerned that it wasn’t fresh. When I called to speak to the manager, I was told he was out and that I could come back in an hour. $ 22 for a lousy salad, $ 2 for lukewarm tea and 3 types of likely frozen poorly cut fish. I hope The condiment bottles felt sticky and the bathroom was dirty. Not impressed. Won’t be back. There are plenty of other better run places in town. In fact, go to the real Fuji on Lee Rd or Arigato.

Fantastic food and staff other than the the hostess with the long green hair. She is rude and cynical and rolls her eyes if you have a table preference. She has no clue how to be a hostess.

Ok, so I’ve never been here before tonight, but holy cow… I would never come here again. Showed up @930pm(the closing time was listed as 11pm) and the green haired hostess up front was not nice or accommodating. She immediately told us the hibachi tables were closed, until a family of 4 walked in right after us and asked for a table. Miraculously the table opened thanks to the cook. The cooking was rushed and even the waitress apologized for the subpar service. The family with us asked for a bowl to put their sauce in, like everyone else, and the cook told us to squirt it on our plates, while the green haired hostess near us said it wasn’t her job to get and to ask our waitress. Disappointing. Everyone at the table agreed.

Miss this place! I moved away a few months and I really miss the sushi from this place. The staff is so nice here, they go above and beyond.

I LOVE this sushi place. There are plenty of menu items to browse through and each one of the rolls are delicious. They have daily specials with nice rolls, not just your basic cheap ones. The servers are always incredibly friendly and the staff is generally the same, and it’s always nice to see familiar faces. Prices range, about $ 5.50 to $ 9 a roll, most are in the middle. I highly recommend Fuji.

Great atmosphere! Fuji sushi has a lot of deals which make it affordable. Came in for dinner on a Monday night, and it just so happened it was Ladies Night. It caters to everyone so I got myself a drink or two. Definitely going back soon.

The happy hour rolls are pretty pathetically sized. Also they won’t let you do takeout on Happy Hour, it’s dine-in only. As a second shift worker with no time to dine in, that’s pretty petty and lame.

Thoroughly decent sushi. Good for the price. I dined at Fuji for dinner with a friend the other night. She lives in the area and we were craving sushi. The restaurant serves hibachi as well, but we made a b-line for the sushi bar. We ordered miso soup and two rolls each, and both of our bills came in under $ 15. Not bad for a sushi dinner. I’ll be honest it’s not the best sushi I’ve had. There are definitely better sushi restaurants in the Orlando area. Fuji wouldn’t be the first to come to mind if I was in the mood for really high-quality really fresh sushi. But if you’re craving sushi and don’t want to spend the high price tag, Fuji is a good choice. Average sushi for cheap.

A day of running errands left us starving. This was nearby so we stopped in for lunch. The menu is HUGE so be prepared to read. I don’t eat fish(shame on me, I know) so I always go with some type of vegetarian roll. The Cuke and Avo roll is super yummy. I also went with the hibachi lunch. Most things were very inexpensive on the lunch menu! Then we came another day during dinner hours. Not quite the same experience. The price, outside of lunch, is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I mean the food is great, but you aren’t in a CLASSY atmosphere so it doesn’t make sense to charge an arm and a leg for average sushi/hibachi. At least the sake was two for one!!!

This is a great place if you are a college student on a budget. I’d steer clear of the sushi and stick with the hibachi.

I’ve come here a few times and they do a nice job. They present their food nicely, the food tastes great, the service is nice, and the restaurant is clean. The low hanging lights over some of the tables are sort of annoying though. Otherwise they have a nice bar and a large menu. Nobody should complain about variety.

We ordered take out sushi and they totally messed up the order. Spicey Mayo was left off the Awesome rolls, the extra Ginger we asked for was not only missing but the normal amount was also missing. The wasabi was missing on 2 of the 3 rolls. When I called to tell the girl who had screwed up the order(Eileen) about the problems, she informed me the manager wasn’t there and she didn’t have time to deal with me and hung up the phone. We have eaten here many times before and although they often screw up orders, this is the first time the hostess was exceptionally rude. Obviously there are other restaurants that offer sushi who will appreciate our business and won’t mess up orders.

Not the freshest, best sushi I’ve ever had — but the price is right. The lunch special has a bunch of rolls for $ 5. The Alaska roll is fried and could be a meal in itself. Lobster roll is a little pricier but always well executed. I’m a big fan of the New Zealand roll, which has kiwi on top. Combine that with a little dip in soy sauce and it’s the beeest flavor combination I’ve ever had in a roll. I’ve been here for hibachi and the dinner show is pretty comparable to what you’d get elsewhere. The hibachi itself is tasty and lends a huge portion. That said, the sushi isn’t super fresh. The rolls vary in size and quality from visit to visit, but I’ve never had a truly bad experience. Totally avoid the fried cheesecake dessert. Used a Unilocal coupon for it and I wouldn’t order it again. Strange consistency. For the area, it’s a good option!

I recently are here and I should have eaten McDonald’s it was so nasty. The waitress was dumb she couldn’t even get my order right. The salad was so nasty it tasted like ground of candy instead of ginger. I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. The service sucks and it even smells weird inside. I took one bite out of my California roll and I felt like someone farted in my mouth that’s how nasty it was. And I love to eat. So this was surprising.

My first official sushi place and I’ve been dying to go back ever since. Was here for the lunch specials everyday till 2:30 which includes 2 dollar beers. The awesome roll is you know awesome but I also tried the spicy squid tempura roll which was delicious.

Not what it used to be. There sushi quality has gone down since they first opened and for me that is a huge deal of course. The people though are really friendly and nice, just not worth coming here for the food unfortunately.

I hate to give Fuji Sushi 2 stars, but the last visit was so «meh», I have to. Small Fry ordered the Chirashi Sushi, which is usually beautifully arranged thin slices of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice in a deep sided bowl. This presentation was huge slabs of fish just thrown onto the rice, so huge we had to ask for a knife and fork. My spicy tuna roll was decent, but made very differently than any other time that I’ve had it. This time it was presented with a large dot of Sriracha on each cut piece, making it almost too spicy to eat. I appreciate consistency in my sushi. Although we were only one of a few people sat dining for the evening, our waiter was no where to be found. In fact, none of the wait staff were around to be flagged down… The sushi chef finally noticed us not eating and asked what we needed, and got small fry her silverware. I’m sure we’ll end up there again in the future, but the glitter has all but come off of the Fuji Sushi star for me…

Decidedly average after multiple visits. I never really loved this restaurant after any time I’d visited, so I feel 3 stars is accurate. The food is good but the place itself always bothered me. This most recent visit had the entire restaurant smelling like the bathroom with a strong chemical scent from the front door to the back. I don’t like to eat food in a place that smells like that, and I don’t think it ever went away. Speaking of the bathrooms, they were not good-mechanical upkeep has fallen off. Even the hallway where they were located needed to be cleaned out of all the high chairs blocking the path, and there was the curtain at the end that was clearing hiding their junk. If this place wants to be upscale as it tries to look, they need to do some serious cleaning out. We had a large party this time, probably 12, and I remember thinking before the food came out that it was taking a while and they should probably bring out the food as it becomes ready, rather then holding it. Sure enough by the time I got my food, the chicken and shrimp were overcooked and tough. I’ve had better food on previous occasions, and it’s usually pretty tasty. It’s just like all the other Japanese restaurants when it comes to main course/hibachi food.

Its ok. Food is not bad but nothing real special. Restaurant looked nice from the outside but there was coffee splashes on the wall where we sat. Food is pricey for what you get and overall atmosphere. There are many other alternatives in the area if your looking for good sushi.

We went here for a large party dinner. They were very accommodating for a large party, however it was tight seating. The waiter service was great. They have a good early bird menu for sushi & hibachi. We got hibachi. I ordered mine with no sauces or spices per personal preference & they mostly delivered it correct. My husband got it with the original flavor & he enjoyed it. Everyone seemed satisfied with their meals. We used the Unilocal discount and some of the party enjoyed the free dessert, fried cheesecake. Some liked it others didn’t. I did not try it. The womens bathroom could use a little help. There was a water leak and the floor was wet & sticky. I think this is temporary as it wasn’t like that in the past.

The hibachi chicken lunch special is awesome! 6.99 and you get to choose between fried rice or noodles. Soup or salad is extra. This little sushi and hibachi restaurant is located in the less busier side of waterford lakes. We were seated immediately when we arrived and there was no wait. I’m happy this wasn’t my first hibachi experience because the chef barely spoke to us and didn’t engage much compared to other places. I would just come here for the food not to bring any hibachi first-timers.

The happy hour here is great. A lot of sushi rolls on the menu and that’s what I come for. I give 3 stars cause I’ve had much better sushi. But, for a happy hour it’s great. Sit in a booth.

For my money, this is the best sushi in town! Hibachi is definitely on-point, too! If you go at lunch, you can get a hibachi lunch special for $ 6.99 and select sushi rolls for $ 5.00! The Polar Bear roll is delicious and is a ridiculous amount of fish for $ 5. I also love the Dynamite and Awesome rolls. In fact, I haven’t had anything there that I don’t love! Not only are the rolls a good price(even when it’s not lunch time, they’re almost all under $ 10), they’re also a really good size! I’ve moved away from the Waterford to Baldwin Park, but I still come back and brave Alafaya traffic just for Fuji Sushi! Definitely give it a try!

I haven’t been to Fuji in about 3 years but it’s still as good as always. Go for their lunch or early bird specials. It really makes it worth the money. Your plate is always overfilled with fried rice, noodles, fresh veggies and any meat of your choice. Lunch specials are great $ 6.99 chicken hibachi fried rice OR noodles. Select rolls are $ 5 and $ 2 Japanese and domestic draft beers. Service is always great because it’s all locals and UCF/Valencia students and the staff gets familiar with you quickly. Overall good flavorful food and plenty of it in a relaxed, super casual small front restaurant. And in my opinion much better tasting than Kobé or Benihana’s and certainly much more affordable.

Always average, never bad. They have a large selection of rolls, mostly super Americanized rolls. They have a great happy hour in the afternoon with a large selection of 5 buck rolls. wine and beer are bogo. The service this time was good, he knew his menu we’ll and offered lots of sauces. For me this is not a destination sushi spot but if you’re nearby and want to grab a roll or two, it’s good.

Out of all of the different styles of food to eat, Japanese is one of my favorite and because of that, I’m very picky. Fuji Sushi and Teppan isn’t my favorite although it wasn’t the worst. The positives-fresh fish, empty restaurant, real ginger, relatively inexpensive The negatives-sashimi pieces were too large(one piece of sashimi was equal to three pieces in Japan), the server(although new) was extremely slow(miso soup came last), no variety in the deluxe(our sashimi and sushi has the same types of fish)

I was skeptical about trying this sushi place just due to the Unilocal ratings but I didn’t want to prejudge so I took a chance. I saw many photos stating the«Awesome Roll» but couldn’t find it on their online menu so I decided to call to get the components. When I called the girl didn’t know what was inside of the roll. Had to ask someone else at which she repeated«marinated salmon». Hmmm… marinated salmon? I asked with what. She had no clue. I ordered it anyways. She said it was on the specials menu for $ 5 so I said ok. What’s $ 5 when your trying a new place. I already had picked out the Caterpillar Roll and Polar Roll from the online menu and proceeded to order those. They were regular price still comparable to what those rolls would cost. Then she said JP(Japanese Roll) was only $ 5 also and I love fresh salmon so that was my 4th roll. The Awesome roll was… not awesome. Deep fried so much the outside was chewy. I only ate one piece of the roll. The Caterpillar roll and Polar were ok. Nothing to write home about. I would say if you’re looking for the basic sushi place. No frills. No creativity for roll ingredients than this so your place. No expect a lot of specialty rolls. Pricing is good that’s why I gave them the 2 stars but taste wise. Just plain.

This is a tough one to review. Quantity over quality wins! I typically come here with co workers for lunch since it’s close to work, wallet friendly and quick. They have a pretty good selection of $ 5 rolls that are good in size as well as hibachi option for $ 6.99. My co workers like the Awesome roll which is a hearty/deep fried. I like raw options in the other hand which make Polar and Scarlet roll tope contenders. After 2:30 until 6 they have even more of selection of sushi for $ 5. The service is always pleasant. If you’re looking for cheap satisfaction, I recommend this place. I doubt you’ll meet these good of prices. Also for the drinkers out there, $ 2 beer for lunch. And THAT is how I came up with this rating(im always back).
