Service is slow even when the place is nearly empty. I think it is the server’s not the cook ‘s fault as burgers came to the table cold. It is way overpriced for this location and quality. It is better than MacDonald but way worse than any similar joint. The good: beer selection and portion sizes.

Yummy in my Tummy! OK so my friend had already warned me that this was a hole in the wall and a little… oh never mind who cares about the ambience the food was GOOD! I had a cheeseburger and curly fries for lunch. According to our waitress, who was also the bartender, they are known for their burgers. The burgers definitely didn’t disappoint as they were thick and juicy(not the flat typical production style burgers). We also had fried pickle spears and they were pretty good too. I didn’t leave anything on my plate so I would definitely go back again. My friend told me that it can get pretty interesting at night so perhaps the next time I will check out the night crowd.

I’ve become a regular here since moving into the neighborhood, mostly because they deliver, which makes it very convenient when your kitchen is being renovated. They are fast and friendly and have excellent curly fries.

I love everything about this place. The dive bar side with it’s great drink specials and unbelievable Corn Nuggets, the other side with the open air and live music. The servers/bartenders are fast and friendly. I’m not sure what time of day some of the other reviewers are going when they are getting bad service. Ours was prompt and just fine!

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Every visit we have had has been consistently wonderful. It has the«dive» atmosphere down pat. Even the clientele are friendly with every visit.

I am a big fan of The Other Side at Johnnies! Great place for Sunday brunch! Best Bloody Mary’s — thanks Ian:) and love the Lobster Benedict! Lots of choices, sandwiches, burgers and breakfast items. Wonderful to be outside and during football season, all the games are on. Check it out and bonus– Tuesday nights everything is half price…

I often eat lunch here when I’m working in the area. The service isn’t the best but it’s kind of a dive joint so I don’t hold it against them and it really isn’t that bad. The reason they get 3 stars is because of the price. I took an employee there and it was $ 35 before tip for 2 burgers fries and drinks. The burgers are good but not amazing. I just don’t see much value. I’m still going to go here because it’s one of the better places in the area.

A good selection of beer and typical bar food. They also have a few pool tables and plenty of televisions to watch the games. Seating usually isn’t a problem and I’ve never noticed them being overly busy. My biggest complaint though(like many others) has to be their service. The servers are friendly but extremely slow. Don’t come here and expect to grab a quick burger and a beer. You’ll be waiting a ridiculous amount of time for someone to take your order and even more long waiting for your food.

Been wanting to go to this place for years, finally made it there and it was well worth the wait. Had some fried pickles and also wings for an appetizers. The pickles were very good and they were the spears as opposed to the sliced pickles and having had fried spears at other places that weren’t as good as slices these were very good. Our waitress, who was awesome by the way, recommended hot teriyaki garlic wings and they were outstanding. Had an amazing bacon cheeseburger for an entrée and it was cooked perfect. My wife who is very picky about her burgers because she wants rare and has a hard time getting a true rare burger got a rare burger that was perfect for her. Great burgers, great service. Will definitely be back.

Tonight several of my co workers and I had ordered some burgers for delivery. From the minute I called to order the sever was very rude and kept rushing us. The order was completely wrong after 45 mins of waiting. Wrong temps, no sauces, no drinks. Had an attitude when we called back to get the order fixed We were told a manager would call us back, and we are still waiting. It’s very upsetting that management service and the food was a dud. we had high hopes. But we won’t be coming back again.

Normally great service and food. Went last week and music terrible and way too loud, food ok and service TERRIBLE ! Called not once, but twice and ask to speak to manager. Never received a call back. Bummer since this was one of our fav hamburger spots.

Still a three. They’re okay, alright. Burgers aren’t made to doneness. No pickle chips, only spears. Slow. Expect to be late to work if you’re on an hour lunch. Not exactly cheap. Bacon burger, fries, bowl of chili, and three beers is $ 26.

Even with a few amount of patrons, they manage to be painfully slow. Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed. I ordered a bowl of chilli. I wished it had beans. It was basically just of a bowl of beef. I did like the interior. It’s a collage of eclectic sports memorabilia.

Well, even though the burgers are apparently«the thing» here, we decided to try some of the other sandwiches. The Reuben was good, and of course predictably greasy. The French Dip… well, the taste was there, but it was basically cheesesteak meat instead of the tender roast beef that you’d normally associate with a French Dip. The fries(both normal and sweet potato varieties) were very good and the fried mac & cheese was a delicious way to shorten your life span. Overall a decent place for lunch, I’d be happy to return for a burger and see what the hype is about.

12 – 13 years ago I lived within walking distance of this place. Did I ever walk there? No. But we were there a lot because of the cheap drinks and delicious hamburgers. Part of this vacation was a little bit of revisiting some of the places I used to frequent. Johnny’s hasn’t changed much. It’s still an entertaining bar with reasonable prices and good food. There are TVs everywhere, and the service is still shaky. We had a $ 2 Killians and a $ 3 Kona Big Wave to start and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries($ 10.35) and my husband ordered the mushroom swiss burger with bacon and curly fries($ 12.15). The beers were cold and the burgers were great. Just as I remember. Our server started out attentive, but then she kind of faded away. Someone else brought us our food and we had to flag the server down for more drinks and then the check. I got the impression she might have been running back and forth to their other property across the parking lot. We weren’t in a hurry though so it was no big deal. And we had bonus entertainment with a floor show of a very drunk and loud woman who sounded like a cross between Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer. Every other word was the worst of the worst and she was not funny. I think she thought she was funny, but finally someone must have said something to her to tone it down, and then she got even louder because she had her tequila muscles and her friends had to get her to leave. Should have thrown a 5 at her and thanked her for the show. Needs to learn how to hold her booze a little better. Either that or get a show on Comedy Central.

They fit the vibe of the name with a sports bar/bike stop vibe and the service fits right with it. Never was really assigned a table and had to find someone to tell them we were sitting down. When we ordered our burgers, we asked if we could get the appetizers as a side(thinking they would charge the same as fries with a smaller portion of their appetizers). Turned out not being the case when we got our food with full sized appetizers with the check charging us for all of it. Partly our fault for not clarifying but would’ve appreciated a heads up to tell us and wasn’t gonna bother complaining in this sort of establishment. My boyfriend ordered the Fillin’ Station Full Service Burger with mushrooms, ham, and the regular fix ins cooked to a perfect medium. Not gonna lie, it was a great classic American burger cooked to perfection with good flavor. I ordered Johnny’s Famous Patty Melt, also cooked perfectly. Well toasted rye that didn’t go soggy from grease that usually makes the sandwich soggy. The appetizers that were supposed to be sides was Sweet Corn Nuggets and Fried Dill Pickles. Corn nuggets came dusted with powdered sugar and was great but the dill pickles were too breaded and a little over fried. Also didn’t like the fact that it was entire spears rather than chips. Overall I would’ve given this place a 3.5 for having a perfectly cooked classic American burgers.

It took a while to order but the wait was worth it. My wife and I ordered onion rings as our appetizer. Those were perfect batter to onion ratio. Then we both ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger. They were cooked to order and were very unique taste. We enjoy the local vibe and it’s great to come on a football Sunday.

Best burger in Orlando? Not even close. The food is mediocre at best and took forever to be served. There’s nothing special about this place at all. Plus, we waited 15 minutes to get our first round of brews! It wasn’t even that busy! The last time we were here was about 10 years ago and it is nowhere near as good as it was back then. The staff was friendly but very slow and we got the feeling like they didn’t really want to be there at all. I would suggest getting rid of the music box. Letting your customers pick the music is a horrible idea. I hated every song that was played. Or at the very least turn it down. It was so loud I had to yell in order to have a conversation. I wouldn’t recommend this place but I’m giving it two stars because the food was edible and the beer was cold.

What can I say. I picked my house based on its proximity to Johnny’s. The burgers are world class. The corn nuggets — my British friend says they’re better than anything in the UK. Even the tuna melt is the best I’ve ever had. One time I asked a server why they open at 10. She said it’s for the hospital crowd. I thought if I ever was released from the hospital, I’d come straight here at 10 am.
