Delicious food, fair price and super good drinks. Mixing burgers with sushi was a great idea.

The four star review is not representative of my visit at Cowfish(which I will never go back to again) but the impeccable follow up from City Walk Guest Services. Within 24 hours, a supervisor contacted me via email to obtain more information regarding my posted review and in my opinion went above and beyond the call of duty to provide an amicable solution. In all honesty, I was primarily using the Interwebs as an avenue to mirror what others have shared that have not the greatest experiences. To know that someone actually took the time to understand speaks volumes about senior level staff.

We didn’t have much food, so our review is limited. The entrance was a bit confusing, though we were sat right away. The area is nice and clean. We ordered the Tropical Storm Sushi Roll — okay, but mediocre given the price. We would t go out of our way to eat here.

I was here with my family this evening. The host told us to wait inside at the bar and have a drink while we waited for a table. My 5yr old son, 16yr old daughter and my wife went into the bar. I ordered a bottle of Corona from the female bartender. She asked me for id. I’m nearly 40. I don’t carry id. I haven’t been asked for id in 15 years. I tried to reason and speak to the bartender but she passed me off. I decided to leave as the place was busy and I felt embarrassed in front of the other customers. Where is the customer care or common sense from the restaurant here? As I left I told the host on the way or what had happened, but he dismissed it and said that it’s policy,(so why did he seems me to the bar in the first place?). There is better places around instead of this place. I’m writing this review from the authentic Mexican restaurant a short distance away. Gary.

Such a cool place you won’t be disappointed. Although the the menu is quite unique, burgers and Sushi the food is excellent. They have a really cool bar inside that makes awesome specialty drinks, with great bartenders that provide excellent service. There is a nice patio if you prefer out side seating, and a second dining room and bar on the 3rd floor. The food was amazing; I had a huge burger and my wife had a few sushi dishes that were also great. The burgers are $ 12 – 15 with side but they are so worth it. They use hamburger patty and then stack brisket or several other ingredients on top to make a burger like I have never had. Enjoy!

Extremely unique and exciting spot to dine in City Walk! Like everywhere in City Walk at dinner time, it is super busy and crowded. Don’t worry, this didn’t affect my experience. I was sat in a table on the upstairs patio which was very nice. My table complained that the music was loud and we couldn’t hear on another, but I believe the music is a part of City Walk rather than the restaurant. Anyways, they moved us to a different table which was very nice and we were able to talk! Now for the FOOD! Ok so the concept of this restaurant is basically burgers and sushi. You can have a burger in sushi form and sushi in burger/sandwich form! Everyone I was with had a sushi roll. I had a roll with tuna and eel(my two favorites). The most delicious roll I tried was a sushi roll with filet mignon on top! WOW! I’ve gotta order it next time! The only thing I would have liked about the food was the presentation. My boyfriend an his father both ordered two rolls each. Traditionally this would come out on a boat or on the same plate. They came out on two separate plates and just caused a big mess on the table! Nonetheless, the food taste was phenomenal! In summary: super cool and unique spot. Delicious food– like a burger/sushi fusion. Very accommodating staff! Cool place, try it out!

Looking for a place where someone could find vegan or vegetarian food, as well as a good hamburger for the kids… we found an interesting place. Cowfish. Now. I do not eat cow… nor do I eat fish… so there is that. I ordered the Tree Hugger sushi, edamame appetizer, avocado rolls and nice refreshing cocktail. Kids had the burgers and chicken strips and seemed happy enough. The sushi was quite good. Most veggie sushi are far less interesting. We also ordered a veggie burger to split and I don’t recall much about it. I think it was okay and I seem to recall it falling apart a lot.

I read some mixed reviews about this place. But my family and I were willing to give it try as we were just so so so hangry on vacation. They offer a wide variety of seafood sushi and burgers. We ordered just about everything on the menu lol from the sushitini(poke in a martini glass) to the«cowboy sushi» smothered in bbq sauce. Overall, the burger were just ok, the sushi was unimpressive BUT super fresh. the absolute best things were: 1. MUSHROOMTRUFFLEBURGER 2. TRUFFLECHEESEFRIES 3. SUSHITINI the bento boxes were also huge and a great value! many weren’t happy with their service, but our server was great! especially for our large group !

Thank you to all the Unilocalers who have reviewed. I’m always skeptical of high volume tourist traps and so glad that we read the reviews and came for dinner. Fantastic location on Citywalk and after a day of riding crazy coasters — this was the perfect end to the day. It’s packed, but they do a good job of getting you in and feeding you great food. The concept is so interesting, but there is plenty of diversity in food so it’s easy to please any size group. We sat outside where there were misters to keep us cool and excellent service so we were never without drinks. We had a few sushi rolls and it was delicious! High quality tuna, huge 8 – 10 piece rolls, and a fun place to hang out. Love the décor, casualness, and attention to detail. I can’t wait to try the burgers — as I walked around when going to the restroom — all the food just looked so good. I just found out that we have one in OTP Atlanta so will definitely try it and review that one as well.

Service was great and we were served very quickly considering how busy it was. Their selection of burgers and sushi is very big, so I had a hard time deciding what to get. The tuna poke appetizer and black truffle burger were awesome. If you wait for a seat, to u can give the hostess your number and they will call you when they can seat you. We ended up touring around nearby shops on the city walk.

Very interesting combination of Japanese and American food. Their burgooshis are basically burgers in sushi form and taste like the former. Personally, I’ve gotten sick of American food while at Disney/universal but this place was unique in that you can void the burger fusion and also get very high quality sushi. Place opens around 11am and is usually empty for lunch. Great place for a quick, quality bite to eat at a very reasonable price $ 15-$ 20 per person before entering universal studios. Try it out!

This is another recommendation taken from Lacey C after looking for a place to eat near where we were staying(Best Western at Universal and International). It was just before 6pm and I was looking for a place to go to walk around and have some dinner. I was looking locally for what was around and while there was both Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia the traffic was sort of bad and I didn’t really feel like going to far or being stuck in traffic. I knew that Universal Studios and the CityWalk was nearby so I decided I’d surprise my wife by taking us there. I’ve been to CityWalk before but not to Cowfish so I thought I’d give it a try. To date I can’t say I’ve ever seen or heard of a place that does both burgers AND sushi in some sort of American/Japanese fusion. I started it off with a little taste of 312 which I had had last year on a trip to Chicago. I know Goose Island is brewed all over now but I liked that beer the last time I had it at Lou Malnati’s. To start of we went with«The Boss» maki roll. It was described as, «Spicy yellowfin tuna, kani, English cucumber inside, coated in tempura flakes. Topped with avocado, premium tuna, wasabi tobiko and wasabi mayo». This roll was cut into 9 pieces divided into 3 piece servings on the platter. It was both a good looking and good tasting roll. It took a short while for the burgers to arrive and they also looked attractive. The long platters seemed a bit long while the fries were spread across the plate to perhaps not make it look so empty. The fries were decent but the burgers were the feature on this platter. I had ordered the Hoisin burger and my wife had asked for the K-Town. The burgers are both half pound cooked to order. The K-Town is described as, «Beef burger, fried kimchi, applewood bacon, gochujang sauce, pickled red onions, leaf lettuce, sesame bun»… while the Hoisin is, «Beef burger, hoisin cooked short ribs, candied smoked bacon, pickled red onions, on a bed of English cucumbers, brioche bun» We both cut our burgers in half and swapped so we could have half of each. The K-Town was more savory because of the kimchi when combined with the onions had a nice veggie bite and sort of snap. The meat on the K-Town was cooked well done. The Hoisin was a little sweet because of the sauce. Because of the rib and pickled onions it tasted closer to a pork bao sandwich. This burger had a lot of meat because of the added rib meat. Our server didn’t really come around to fill our drinks or ask me if I wanted another beer but I was ok with what I had to drink anyway. Overall the food was really good and the concept of burgers and sushi rolls is sort of something completely different. Cowfish was a fun place to eat and I do love burgers but this place is a bit of a twist.

Still fabulous this visit! We went twice during our weekend to Orlando because not only do my husband and I love it but our kids eat the food and enjoy playing the computer build a fish game. This time we tried the Fried Pickles, Brie and Blackberry Burger on wheat, and the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. All good but chicken sandwich was not something I’d order again. My son had the cake milkshake and I had the spiked peanut butter shake! YUMMy! If you go at night on a weekend you will most likely have a wait. If you go late afternoon or right afternoon opens you just walk in and sit.

One of the most interesting and unique places I’ve ate at, not the concept, but more so the décor. Food: The menu is sizable with tons of apps, sushi rolls, burgers, bento boxes with a mix of burgers/sushi rolls. I ordered the cucumber delight and one order of tuna nigiri. The nigiri was extremely fresh, like did they go fishing for this stuff? The portion was okay, but I was given way more rice than I needed. More fish please! The cucumber delight roll was low in carbs since it was rolled in cucumber rather than rice. It contained fresh hamachi, a chunk of avocado and it was topped with poke and beet curls. The beet curls were really unnecessary and more for presentation. The roll was packed with hamachi and poke, I can’t complain. It was fresh and very tasty. I shared the blackened tuna nachos with my boyfriend, the dish was presented very beautiful. 5 – 6 thick and crispy wonton chips with yellowfin tuna steak a yummy and citrusy avocado salsa, crab dip and arugula. It was pretty filling and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the All-American Bacon Double Cheeseburgooshi which was something else, not my favorite thing in the world, but interesting concept. Angus beef, white and yellow cheddar pieces and bacon wrapped in deep-fried soy paper topped with burger components, such as tomato, onion, pickles and a savory sauce similar to chipotle mayo. Not my cup of tea, but my boyfriend was fascinated. He ate it with ketchup and soy sauce. A lot of options to satisfy even the most picky or interesting palates out there. Ambiance: One-of-a-kind atmosphere, from the décor to the dialogue that plays in the bathroom, you’ll feel confused then think it’s pretty neat. The dialogue in the bathroom translates phrases, slang, etc. from a very Southern American male accent to a very feminine Japanese accent. It’s pretty funny dialogue too. The restaurant is HUGE, I’d say about three stories huge and big enough to fit about 600 people from the sign I read. You can dine indoors or sit on the lovely deck. Price: Mid-range dining, rolls and entrees range from $ 12-$ 25. Decent prices for the area, quality and freshness of the food. Service: Our server was highly attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our dining experience. No complaints. Overall: Extremely innovative dishes, creative décor, fair pricing and refreshing to find good food in the amusement park vicinity. I’d definitely come back.

Absolutely delicious and a fun dining experience. I’ve heard of The Cowfish before and it was always in the back of my mind to try whenever I would find myself in Orlando. Lo and behold, my chance has come, and boy am I glad that I got to eat here! While the menu seems a bit unorthodox, it works. They have your typical American food fare AND sushi. Both with a twist. A very good twist. For appetizers, we got the fried pickles and the Parmesan bacon fries. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. The fries were well seasoned, and you got a good cheese to bacon to fry ratio in each bite. I wish I could describe the fried pickles with the same enthusiasm, but alas, they weren’t up to my expectations. The batter got a bit soggy after awhile, so if you do order them, eat fast! My eyes were a lot bigger than my stomach that night so not only did I order fries, pickles, and a burger, I also ordered a pbj milk shake and sushi. Was it worth it? heck yes. I ordered the boss roll which had a lot going on, but boy was it mouthwatering and absolutely a treat to eat. I kind of neglected by brie burger, which, was juicy, cheesy, and cooked perfectly.

Sushi marries up nicely with the burgers at this joint. The menu has something for everyone but if you’re like me and need to have your fix of both, try the sushi burger bento box. This is a comprehensive entrée for plate enviers like myself which contains a maki of your choice, a mini burger, edamame, pickled cucumbers & sweet potato fries. Reasonable prices as well! Servers are sweet and very attentive.

Had about a 40 min wait on a Thurs night. Super unique menu. We started off with the spicy crunchy roll, not the best or worst sushi I’ve had. But I’d probably just pass next time. I ordered the Boursin Burger minus the bacon and add in avocados. It was amazing, super delicious and the flavors all blended well. My SO ordered the Cowfish Has Already Left the Building minus the bacon and add in avocados on the side. The PB& banana was super weird but oddly delicious combo. He was in love. I only had two things that were ehh. 1. I waited 40 mins for a table and 40 mins for my food. 2. We had a table near the bar, and were surrounded by a group of people drinking and hanging out, which just made it rather loud and hard to even hear my SO from across the table. Highly recommend the burgers though! Cheers!

Really, what’s not to love at this place?! When I heard they had a Cowfish in City Walk I knew I had to add it to my list of places to check out. I warned my husband about the wait that would surely be meeting us on a Friday night. Turns out there is no wait on a Friday when it is rainy and freezing out. We walked right in and were seated! The bento box is hard to pass up since it is such a neat novelty. Little burger, a few sushi rolls, and all sorts of sides? Sign me up! I due think they should call it a slider not a burger because the thing was tiny, but delicious. The sushi was great as were the sides. The crab rangoon appetizer was really tasty. Really just crab dip with wonton chips. The peanut butter and jelly shake was good, but came to the table already melted and complete liquid. Since it was a slow night the only place they were seating was the upstairs bar area. There was a huge fish tank and the waitress fed the fish so the kids sitting next to us could watch them for a bit. I thought that was a nice touch! When I am at Universal again I will definitely be visiting again.

Cowfish, what a meal! We visited Cowfish after a very, fun long day at Universal Studios. By the time we had called it a day on rides, we decided to get food before leaving the park itself. We chose Cowfish between a few different restaurants and thought it would be a fun choice, and it was! Even though we were told(on a very busy night) that there would be a 45+ minute wait, we were buzzed in much earlier and taken upstairs to the top floor, which was enclosed with plastic covers(tent-like). We decided to dive right in and order a Burgushi(love the name)! We ordered the All-American Bacon Double Cheeseburgooshi, Yellow Tail Roll, and Parmesan Bacon Truffle Fries(on the reco of another tip on Unilocal). When the Cheeseburgooshi came out, it looked great and tasted even better. It was a super fun way to eat your burger as sushi. The Yellow Tail roll was also great, but we were disappointed buy the fries. They didn’t use real truffle oil, but rather included it in the gloopy, fake nacho cheese that they put on top of the fries, but we did not let this detract from our meal! The Burgushi was great and I would come back the next time we visit!

What a neat, different place! Good for kids too. There was a bit of a wait and they don’t take reservations, but they’ll text your cell phone when your table is ready so you’re not tied to the place. Nice touch. We went there for the sushi and were not disappointed by some of their very unique options(see pics) such as the sushi tuna bacon burger(I forgot the real name) and the Bloody Mary had a Cow. They also had kid friendly bento boxes complete with a fish shaped rice crispie treat and Swedish fish for dessert! Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was awesome too. We’ll definitely be back!
