I would give this place 5 stars but the seating is not ideal, not cozy enough. The coffee though… YUM and affordable prices. They are known for their flavored(unsweetened) coffees. The blueberry coffee is insanely delish. They have flavored cold brew coffees for summer as well. A little out of the way if you’re in Naperville area but worth the drive.

A wonderful place to spend some time in Downtown Oswego alone or with a friend! Delicious coffee and baked goods. My teenagers love their bagel dogs and sandwiches. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by their inventive soups. There is an extensive tea menu. Always wonderful items to look at and reading material for a cozy afternoon or while taking a break from antiquing!

I came in to this little store after hearing great reviews on it. When i first walked in i thought it was cute, it looks like a cozy hut. When i went to the counter to look at the pastries i wasnt sure what most of them were i had to ask because they didnt have them posted anywhere, just the coffee. When i asked if they have the same pastries everyday the girl said sometimes they do until its gone then they make something else. So the pastries change without notice, i got carrot cake which was good, but i also their english toffee coffee which seem watered down, i didnt even drink it. It tasted like when you order an iced coffee and the ice melts. Over all its a cute place, good pastries bad coffee, slightly pricey. Not for me though.

LOVE village grind, especially in summer, during the farmers market(tho it gets quite crowded). They have great cold brew coffee. Also love their coconut coffee with their vanilla cream, yum!

You walk in the front door immediately you smell amazing coffee! It’s a very cozy little spot in downtown Oswego that makes you feel like you’re sitting in the little cottage somewhere in Wisconsin. Tons of charm and little areas you can sit and work or just chat with friends. On top of a huge coffee selection they have fresh-baked pastries that they make themselves that are absolutely to die for. Also it turns out on Fridays they have a baked potato bar with tons of fixings which I got to experience and loved! This is definitely one of those gems that every town should have and cherish. If you’re anywhere in the area and you enjoy coffee this place is an absolute must visit.

Local coffee shops… one of my favorite things. These little gems are hard to come across, so I was happy to drive the 15 minutes to downtown Oswego to check out The Village Grind. I always check Unilocal for details first, but it seems as though this time around I neglected to read the fact that they do not have WiFi. Which of course is a necessity for a work-remotely gal like myself. Luckily, I was able to use my phone as a personal hot spot to connect. The inside of this place is super cozy. Almost feels like you’re hanging out at your Grandma’s house(in a good way). They have plenty of coffee choices, and from what I saw others eating around noon, plenty of food options as well. I saw some delicious looking salads, chili, and event stuffed peppers. Will have to grab a bite next time I’m in! I ordered a 16 oz. hazelnut decaf coffee which cost me $ 2.12. Super cheap! I honestly didn’t even need any milk or cream, because the flavored coffee was so good. The day I was in their credit card machine was down, but they were able to write down my info(which they promised would be shredded). If only I could get in the habit of carrying cash on me… The service was super friendly! I think the girls working behind the counter were college age students on Spring Break. They have a few different rooms with different types of tables for working, chatting, or hanging out; big, small, high top, and even couches in the back room. I’m looking forward to the weather getting a tad warmer so I can take advantage of their screened in porch and outdoor seats!

The staff are excellent very diverse selection. I ordered a Mocha but the coffee was old and burned. Will give them another try in a month. The cheese cake was great

Great service with a huge selection of tea from Republic of Tea. I wish I would have noticed the local honey and handmade soaps before I was on my way out. Next time!

I stumbled across this coffee shop on accident. I was having a birthday party for my daughter at an art studio near by. I arrived a bit early for my party so I looked to Unilocal to find a coffee shop near by. It pointed me in the direction of this amazing place. We walked in and I immediately fell in love with this place! It smelled fabulous, it isn’t your cookie cutter coffee shop, it felt like I was in a little village somewhere not in Oswego. I noticed that they have pastries to sell and a variety of coffee flavors to try. I went with a flavor from their«New Years» menu, a strawberry covered chocolate mocha. After I placed my order I walked into their main room and found it to be just absolutely adorable, cozy, different and I felt right at home. There are tables, small ones, big ones, high tops, and a cozy couch. It was very bright inside thanks to the window. We sat on the couch and enjoyed our delicious hot beverage on such a cold blustery day. I was so happy that I found this place. I would normally not be out in that area but I liked the shop so much that I most certainly be back. They have outdoor seating so this might be a nice place to sit on a warm day too. What a refreshing place to have a great cup of coffee at. If you are in the area you have to check them out.

The Village Grind is a local favorite for seasonal Green Mountain coffees, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, as well as teas & other drinks. They also offer wonderful bakery and sweets to enjoy. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Very quaint. A fantastic place to meet friends in the heart of Oswego.

Love the Village Grind! Their iced coffees are my favorite because they are brewed and cooled before hand so your ice doesn’t melt and make the coffee watery. Bonus all the freaking delicious pastry and quiche options. Can’t go wrong stopping at the village grind :-)

BEST blueberry coffee in the world! The coffee selection is huge and the atmosphere is so cozy, you never want to leave. It’s the perfect spot for a lunch date or catching up on work and the staff is absolutely amazing — truly the sweetest people to start any work day with. They also have a very accommodating GLUTENFREEMENU of dessert items! I recommend the Grind to anyone I know!

Starbucks who??? Their coffee is amazing! Michigan cherry is my favorite! The customer service is excellent and people are extremely friendly! One last thing, free refill on iced coffee is dangerous! My only complaint is that it’s not near my house! But that’s probably a good thing because I would go there every day and get fat from your ice coffee! Keep up the good work!

One of my favorite places to be on a lazy morning. This place is so cozy and warm. All the staff is fantastic and friendly. THEFOODISTODIEFOR. Homemade pies(strawberry rhubarb is be best one). The village grind also does a great job of making seasonal drinks. The blackberry chai latte is the best thing I’ve ever had in my life. With a dollop of whip cream, I would sell my first born child. For a local café, the village grind is the best thing I can offer. It’s perfectly tucked away.

Village Grind is a cute coffee shop in «downtown» Oswego. The area appears to be mostly formal wear shops and insurance offices, so a coffee shop is welcome. The Coconut White Chocolate was a great mid-morning caffeine jolt. The menu of coffee drinks is extensive, and they have a variety of syrups to customize your drink. Hot drinks, iced drinks, smoothies, and a lot of baked goods also. I don’t hang out in Oswego often, but I went out of my way to check them out. The coffee is good. I’m not a fan of the random jewelry and candles for sale in front of the shop though. It’s randomly displayed and takes away from the cool, coffeehouse vibe. Apparently the guy in front of me(there was no one there when I arrived) paid for my drink. I intended to do the same, but before I could even open my mouth, the brat behind me balked, «you should pay it forward too!» when I turned around I saw a super tanned, skinny minny, suburban mom-bot with designer sunglasses perched on her recently highlighted head. I said, «um, yeah, I WAS about to do that.» Then I took my drink and sat at a table while she spent nearly five minutes deciding what kind of smoothie she wanted. Um, no. Bye bitch. I’ll pay it forward to an unassuming, deserving patron next time I’m at Starbucks.

This place is AWESOME!!! A very quaint coffee shop. It is an old house converted to a coffee house. Besides having coffee and specialty drinks, they also have a limited assortment of food(bagels, coffee cake etc) as well as ice cream! The seating varies from room to room. Some have couches, high tables, regular tables. Tons of cool nooks and crannies. Also, almost every decoration in the place is for sale! They also have outdoor seating as well as screened in seating. The best part is, it is not a chain. Their drinks are better than the chains and it is literally half the price. Check this place out you will not regret it!!!

A little chilly inside in the winter. Bring a hat & warm socks! Aside from it being very chilly and not having wifi, I did enjoy this establishment. They have an oatmeal bar which is a cute addition. I stopped here because I saw it was highly rated on Unilocal and needed a place to kill some time. This did the trick. I had a salted caramel latte which was delicious and a cinnamon muffin. Warmed up, it was a fantastic lunch. If in the area, I would probably go back(given that it is a little warmer out). I noticed they put plastic over the windows which should help with drafty windows. However, they were put over the blinds which doesn’t provide a good seal. Maybe they will see this and fix it.
