Really bad experience with this company building a new pool for me. They added costs once contract was signed and work because they didn’t know what equipment they wanted to use. Ultimately would not proceed until I paid half their inflated cost for added equipment. Changed location of pool equipment because they didn’t know city building codes but never consulted me to redesign deck or figure out placement. Pulled the footer out from under my house during deck demolition and never said a word. I had to argue to get them to replace it. Buried wood from pool framing in back yard rather than disposing of it(termite hazard created). Informed foreman of this and was ignored. Placed pool equipment so filter and pump/basket are next to fence and behind raised pipes and blower — access is standing on a balance beam, hoping you won’t fall. Informed foreman of this the day it was done and was told«it’s standard». During construction, drained water into street causing potholes(and a visit to me from code enforcement). Crews repeatedly drove onto my front lawn, leaving a rutted mess. Cause serious damage to my paver driveway. After initial fill, their crew caused acid burns on surface(because pump they installed didn’t work) which required draining and refilling pool. Had to jump through hoops to get them to pay water/sewer bill. Initial estimate was 8 – 10 weeks. Actual time until final inspection 5 and a half months. Worse yet, I went to put in a standard model Polaris pressure(not vacuum) pool cleaner and found they do not use standard fittings. Every pool store in town and online sells a variety of fittings and gadgets for 1.5″ threaded pipe. This company uses cheap non-threaded pipe(easier/cheaper to install), and fittings you can’t find anywhere. The company finally provided a single website that purports to offer replacement fittings but only those fittings, but the site has no pricing and no way to order online. I think the final insult was the owner’s son(the vice president of operations). First, he accused me of only wanting to argue. Second, he told me everything was done to code(meeting code is required to close a permit and not a standard of quality or usability). Third, he kept told me they had 30+ years in business and wonderful customer service(when I was telling him all of the ways the customer service was lacking). After I sent a detailed letter describing all of these problems and more, his response was he was sorry I wasn’t satisfied. Not sorry for a poor product or poor service, just sorry I didn’t accept the poor job and go away. Their foreman was never around to see if the work got done properly but expect a check the next morning when he ask for one(and asked for the last big payment before it was due). Oh, be forewarned that they will not finish your installation until you make final payment. Yes, they expect you to pay in full before you know whether the stuff even works.

Worst pool company in central Florida. The paver company is awful. My sales rep. Adam is a joke. They dumped chemicals and buried pool material in my backyard. I would never recommend this company.

Thanks to Steve, Dave, Brandon and all the rest of the Atlas pools family. Our pool exceeds our expectations in beauty and function. I highly recommend this company. Steve will sit with you and help you to design the pool you are looking for while keeping your budget in mind. Dave is a very hands on site manager and is around on any given day that people are working on your pool. Just a great experience all around.
