Only reason I’m giving a one star is because I have to, or else I would give no star. Honestly worst experience I’ve ever encountered with this place, after numerous calls to corporate customer service and the restaurant itself and the regional manager Jaime nobody is willing to assist me & act as they have no authority. Well who is your boss then?! Anyways I visited this restaurant through drive through on Friday August 14,2015 the attendant Angie gave me my total charged my card when I handed it to her and gave me my food never said one word to me besides my total which I thought was odd, I drove off and until I got home realized that I was charged $.49 on my bank account extra that was not stated anywhere on my receipt. I had no idea what this charge was for so I quickly got on the phone & spoke to anyone that would answer but nobody was any help! Finally the regional manager; Jaime, explained to me the $.49 fee was a debit fee. Okay well nobody made me aware of this fee at all. When you’re going to charge somebody something different than the food total you let them know. Legally that was not right. Jaime also said it was written somewhere that the fee is applied? Where? No where on my receipt does it say that? What if I can’t read? Nobody verbally told me this? This is where I will have my lawyer step in. Honestly customer service is a big deal to me and kfc has the absolute WORST I’ve experienced. Then Jaime mejia, the regional manager tried to bribe me with a free meal?! You think you can have me be quite by giving me free stuff? NO you’re not addressing the problem instead you’re ignoring it & bribing me that’s not the way you do business ! No issue has been settled & kfc failed to satisfy this customer. Never visiting this place again. I will let all my friends and family members not to visit any kfc ever.

i have not been to KFC in years because i prefer Popeyes even though KFC is closer to my house. i had to get some fried chicken for me and coworkers at 9:30 in the morning and Unilocal said it opens at 9 AM so i headed over. when i got there, the door said they open at 10AM so i ended up waiting about 40 minutes at the door till they opened. i bought 20 pcs chicken only for $ 31 (expensive!!!) and brought them back to work. when we opened the bucket the chickens skins were just coming off because they were just too soggy with grease! and when i started getting them out on the plates, the whole bottom of the bucket was about half an inch full of grease!!! i ended up wasting that $ 31 because after my coworkers took a bite they just tossed them. not even half the bucket was eaten and we tossed the whole thing. it was probably a good decision i never went there for years and now i know i won’t be returning!

So I had kind of a bad experience at KFC so I reviewed it and the owner Jaime contacted me through Unilocal and ask me to give them another chance and boy am I glad I did. The chicken was absolutely delicious. I didn’t order the sides like I did the first time but the chicken alone was worth going back. It was perfectly cooked and moist and delicious just like I expect from KFC. Thank you Jaime and KFC!

First time to this KFC. It was very neat and clean inside. All of the staff was very helpful. I would visit this location again.

Had a very nice experience at this location. Very thoughtful and attentive staff. Good quality food even when the location was not busy. Good location to stop in the way home

This place sucks not only do they chage you 50 cents to use a debit card i ordered a 8 piece family meal ann got a 5 peice when i got home not to include the fact that 4 people that ordered after me got the buckets of chicken before me trust me gobto Popeyes

This KFC location in Oxnard on Gonzalez is in my opinion the best one. Clean excellent service, great fresh chicken on the spot, mash potatoes and gravy was piping hot. I even had to take the order to my house which is 15 minutes away and the food was still steaming hot. I wish the other KFC’s in the area can take note and get there act together.

Foods great. Customer service is horrible. Girl Cynthia, through drive thru was rude & not friendly. Why apply at a job that consists of customer service when you don’t know how to give good service.

Hot, fresh, fast, tasty

Location is great! New restaurant is clean & looks really good. Not crowded at all. Cashier asked for an ID when we used a credit card, a practice that I really like a lot! They’re doing their part to reduce credit card fraud… yippeee! Food came fast, and tasted as KFC always does… Another plus :-)

The renovation is really nice and I can’t really say much else about the food. I only started going when they added grilled chicken to the menu, but the crispy is nice every so often. I never really had any issues after the renovation, so it seems the DM or someone flushed out all the crappy employees.

I’m not into KFC that much. But I like to come here, when I do a big family meal. Also make sure before you take off! Get the meals right! Sometime they give you the worry meals, just saying: P

Brand new location!
There has been a KFC (more or less) in this location for many years. The old one was pretty run-​down. But with the rejuvenation of the Carriage Square shopping center into mostly a Lowe’s, this place was razed and rebuilt from scratch.
The new place is, well, brand new. Up-​to-​date KFC décor, including advertising on the ceiling and big screen TV’s displaying mouth-​watering images of their food.
The staff seems to be a mix of former and new employees. All very friendly and fast. The dining area is much more inviting and because of the new layout, the people who just want carry-​out don’t have to stand around watching you eat.
They still have a drive thru but either way, it’s still the same great chicken you expect from KFC.
I’m glad to have them back!

A dump but great chicken

It’s amazing what one free piece of chicken will do for a place. This lil hole in the wall KFC sits in an abandoned strip mall and is one of the remaining breaths of life in this Oxnard location.
I came on free chicken day to try the piece of new grilled chicken and thought it was decent. Definitely healthier than fried chicken and the meat was very moist, but still if you grill a crappy chicken you still end up with crappy chicken.
The food is okay, but the restaurant is old and a blast from the past with iffy cleanliness and old paintings on the wall from the 80s. More often than not there are bums hanging around in there watching you eat, which some people would say takes a little away from the experience.
But on April 27^th they succeeded in drawing in a line both inside and in the drive through for one piece of chicken for all guests present. kudos
I would not recommend eating at this Kentucky Fried Chicken, for the simple reason of not starting down the road toward fatdom and if you still want to fee like you have something going for you in this life
