Went here for a quick meal before house hunting. We were served very quickly. I had the spinach omelette with toast and fruit and my husband had the two eggs with sausage, pancakes and hash browns. It’s a regular breakfast spot but simple and tasty is what I look for with breakfast. The hash browns were tastier than they looked. The pancakes were decent but nothing memorable. They put more than enough spinach which makes it delicious.

Went here last Saturday(5⁄21) and I was it sure what to expect. This place has changed names multiple times but you know what it was excellent. Service was really fast and the food came out in 10 – 15 minutes tops. Waitress was nice and did her check ups. The prices were fair and the quality of the food was really good. Totally different from Palatine Inn. The crowd is a lot younger here and I think it’s a nice small good joint to hit up on Saturday or Sunday mornings.

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. As usual the food and service were good. We both had eggs, bacon, fruit, pancakes and coffee. It was under $ 20 for the 2 of us. We have come here many times and enjoy it. Don’t let the full parking lot dismay you. They have lots of seating inside.

First time here and had a smooth and uneventful experience. Greeted and seated right away, had an attentive server who kept our lifeblood/coffee flowing continuously and brought out our omelette’s promptly. Nice portions and enjoyed the coffee too. Parking lot has a bit of a hokey setup so careful you don’t run into anyone as they loiter in the lot & are slowly making they’re way into the restaurant. A solid choice for breakfast in the area. Would recommend Billy’s and would consider coming back again.

The pancakes and fresh squeezed orange juice are wonderful. My husband loves the skirt steak, and it is a nice, generous cut of meat. The two egg breakfast comes with your choice of meat, plus hash browns or pancakes, fresh fruit… I think that’s it but believe me, it is a lot of food for the money. We’ll be back.

The food was ok. The prices were reasonable. The service was attentive. The resturant was clean. However, the food was just average. The potato pancakes were very greasy. Over all, this restaurant is passable. 7 out of 10

I was here visiting my sister and niece in Illinois. This is her and her husband’s favorite place to eat breakfast after church on Sundays. Their portions are impeccably huge and satisfying. The place is homely and old school and the service is polite. I totally enjoyed my corned beef has skillet. All skillets come with your choice of toast or pancakes. Seeing as how it’s literally impossible to polish off that much food in one sitting, I just ordered toast and stuck with my skillet, which I couldn’t finish. Made for amazing leftovers, though! Thanks Billy’s. I’ll be back every time I visit Illinois.

Scrumptious food and great service. Been going to Billy’s for breakfast and lunch since the 80’s. Especially luv their wonderful skillets. The main skillet is plentiful and is accompanied by a short stack. The coffee is superb.

The best breakfast around. Forget Denny’s and iHop! They serve you so much food at a reasonable price. And everything there is delicious. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. I usually order and omelette with hash browns. OMG to die for

Only one visit, but the place impressed as a solid option for breakfast and lunch/brunch. The service was very quick and efficient. When we told the waitress we’d never visited before, she was quick to tell us that everything was made fresh and(if I remember correctly) in-house. The menu is large and comprehensive, as long as you’re not a vegetarian or, God forbid, vegan. If this place were in the city, you would definitely see something like a scrambled tofu deluxe for vegans, and more veggie choices. Not so much here. Vegetarians will do okay, but vegans will have a tough time here. Anyone who prefers the Standard American Diet will do just fine. My friend, unfortunately, is allergic to eggs, so she ordered a steak burrito. It was very large. She liked it, and took half of it home. I was originally drawn to the Swedish pancakes stuffed with fruit, but my friend mentioned something about skillets, and my eyes and appetite went there. I got a vegetarian version, with tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and onions, and I topped it with two sunny-side up eggs. I thought it was very good. Way too much for one middle-aged Aquarius to eat, so I took half home and ended up having it for dinner. It was still good then. No problem with getting lots and lots of coffee. Billy’s is not one of those chi-chi places that feels the need to charge you for a refill. I hate that. I want all the coffee I can get, so that little energetic rays of caffeine shoot out of my ears. I got that at Billy’s. As a dazzling urbanite, I appreciate that there was plenty of parking. Bottom line: I would be perfectly happy to visit Billy’s again. If we were all living in Roseann’s perfect world, Billy’s would offer some delicious, healthy vegan options, but sad experience has convinced me that we are living somewhere else than my perfect world. Oh well. I recommend Billy’s. You should go there.

I went to meet 3 other friends at Billy’s this morning it was a very long time before our order was taken. The girl appeared quite hurried before our order but then it took about 30 minutes for the order and one out of the four was not prepared right! Then she came over and said I’m sorry ma’am I asked for raisin toast with whipped butter and got dry raisin toast. My friends melon was way sour she couldn’t even eat it! Then when the omelet came out it looked just like my friends ham and cheese scramble with Swiss cheese and the cheese wasn’t even melted! Very disappointing!!! The rest was too much to write! I know where I won’t be going back to!

My sister first introduced me to Billy’s more than ten years ago. It was great then, and not much has changed. Most importantly, it has delicious food. The meat lover’s skillet is my personal favorite, but they also make crepes, waffles, French toast, and even lunch food if you are not in the mood for breakfast. There is no shortage of breakfast restaurants in the area, so they have some competition. I think that the reasons that I keep going back here are that the servers are polite, the atmosphere is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. This is a place where you can take your whole family out and not go broke while doing that.

I WANTTOMEETBILLY! That’s the ongoing joke my boyfriend and I have. We come here a lot. Every. Single. Sunday. Ok, sometimes Saturdays. But every week! I love this place so much! I have tried pretty much every single item in their menu, and I have yet to find something I don’t like. Their steak and eggs is my favorite! And their baked apple pancake is to die for! So is their German pancake! And so are their crepes! And their omelets! And their skillets! Oh my god, just go there already. Can’t wait for Sunday!

Feels dirty. Food is over priced for what you get and its just plain nothing special. I would go to a handful of neighboring places before darkening this door again. The service was horrible and the unfriendly. Keep driving by.

Billy’s is a go-to spot for breakfast/lunch in the Palatine area. I have been coming here for years and cannot think of a single bad experience or bad thing to say about it. I have come with my boyfriend and in a large group and the staff has been most accommodating each time. The food comes out fast and correct, even with additions and substitutions. The last few times we have visited, we have been served by Anna, who is incredibly personable and friendly. Whenever we go with my partner’s nieces, she chats with them and asks them about their day. She is a great server. I have tried several different things from the menu, but I have two tried and true favorites: the chicken skillet without onions, and the turkey panini, sub swiss, add avocado. Both are excellent dishes that have large portions and are very filling. I almost always take home leftovers. The pancakes are some of the best restaurant pancakes in the area. Light and fluffy and very tasty. The hash browns in the skillet are very fluffy and soft, the way hash browns should be(in my opinion)! The food always comes out hot and in a timely manner. Like I said above, we have come in very large groups and all of our food comes out at the same time. Overall, an excellent place for brunch, any day of the week. I would recommend a reservation for the weekends because they can get packed on Saturdays and Sundays! But the service has never faltered and neither has the food. It’s a tried and true favorite for a great meal in the ‘burbs.

Great breakfast items including HUGE omelets and tasty skillets. Lately, I have enjoyed the Supreme Chicken Wrap for lunch(from the specials list), which includes grilled chicken, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms and mozzarella… very unique! Coffee is good and my waitress, Donna, is always good with the service.
