Quite possibly the worst restaurant that I have ever tried. Let’s look at the various attributes of restaurants starting with the most important: 1. Food — We ordered prime rib — absolutely no flavor and somewhat tough. My wife’s portion was small and full of fat. Yes, I know that meat needs to be marbled, but there is a big difference between marbling and full of fat. My vegetable were under cooked, corn, peas and carrots. They used baby carrots out of a bag and cooked them with the peas and corn for the same amount of time, Gee, carrots won’t be done — plain stupid. I had fries with my rib — oil must have been used for at least two weeks and not changed — they were rancid. 2. Atmosphere — This place is an old Florida shack that has not been upgraded much. Floor actually sloped. They have packed too many tables in a small space, so much that they did not put out salt and pepper on any table because it would have made the table too crowded. You are really close to you eating neighbor. Fine if you don’t mind all of nearby tables hearing your conversation. 3. Service — Service should be good at any restaurant regardless of price, but the expensive restaurants like 386 should have excellent service. We had to wait many minutes each time we asked for something — salt and pepper, butter for the bread, au jus for the rib, etc. By the way, don’t you think that the examples I just gave should have been standard? Also, wait staff was not dressed the same. We had eaten at Steak and Shake a couple of days before and their staff was dressed the same — at 386 for 8 times the price of Steak and Shake the staff could wear what they pleased. Price — $ 80 at 386 versus better food service and atmosphere and Steak and Shake for $ 8.00. I wonder???

The food was passable. However, all the plates at our table had chips on the rims. The waitress was loud & appeared drunk or certainly high on something. She reached across the table & shouted constantly. The desserts were not well plated. Our party was encouraged to leave before we were ready. I had heard reports about this place but I was prepared to give it a chance. It is not a venue for fine dining. It is one step up from a shack. All it needs is sawdust on the floor.

We had reservations for 5pm on my birthday, February 22nd. I purchased one of those deals buy $ 35 for $ 70 worth of food months ago, so I could not wait to try this place for the first time! To summarize, my friend ordered medium done rib eye, it kept coming back very rare. It took 4 times to get it right. In the meantime, our food got cold waiting for her dish. Something was wrong with our waitress, kathy? She may have been sick and took a lot of cold medicine, sniffling and messing everything up. She asks for our drinks. A friend wanted something non alcoholic mixed up. Waitress said she could mix beer and wine in a wine glass. Friend says no thanks, I will have iced tea. Waitress runs off to get iced tea without asking what drinks we wanted. Friend is brought iced tea, then our drink order was taken. Time to order food. I gave waitress the coupon. Food came but it took the cook 4 times to get the rib eye medium done, our food got cold while we waited to finish dinner with our friend who ordered the rib eye. My Filet Mignon was delicious but COLD. Asked for a second beer, waitress forgot. I never did get it. When we got the bill, the prepaid coupon discount was not included! The waitress said she couldn’t find the coupon that I gave her, so she wanted to charge us the full amount anyway? Waitress finally corrected the bill, we paid and then it took her forever to find change. The waitress was«off» for sure. Maybe sick on medication? The cook was off on getting the rib eye cooked right the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time.

It’s as bad as people say, but they can afford to be as they are one of only three restaurants for a few miles around. Don’t: get a steak, calamari, Caesar salad, or fish dip. Do: make a reservation… unless you want to sit at the bar.

Great service on a busy Saturday night & excellent food as well. I had the wedge salad — very crisp lettuce, lots of pancetta & maytag blue cheese & the Seared Sea Scallops as my entrée. Perfectly done scallops on risotto which was fabulous! My husband had the NY sirloin which was also perfection! Highly recommend 386 Fusion! We’ll be returning!

The food was terrific! I would like to give this restaurant more stars but I felt the atmosphere left something to be desired. A burned out bulb, spotty wine glasses, a bar that just served beer and looked like a VFW bar and out of place for an establishment which calls itself fine dining. If it weren’t for the food(an important element) this place could not command it’s price. Once again… the food was great.

Tonight was our experience at 386 and it did not disappoint. The comments about price are completely off-base… It’s not expensive at all for a top-notch dining experience & that’s just what this restaurant offers. I will agree that the façade is certainly deceiving(OK it looks a little divey from the outside) however the interior is cozy and inviting. I can understand some of the reviews regarding service — but I don’t have any complaints that would possibly affect my overall 5 star rating. As you know from my other reviews, my wife and I travel a great deal and I spend time in New York, and Chicago with clients & this restaurant ranks up there with any top restaurant I’ve been to. I’ve had lasagna, fish, and fillet at 386 and everything has been fantastic! I’m looking forward to going again soon!

Despite having reservation for 4 people, they plunked us at bar for 40 minutes. We were then ignored at bar, couldn’t get a drink. People who came in behind us were seated before us. Once seated for dinner found that portions were extremely small.

Went to celebrate my son’s Birthday. They did not have my reservation. Great start. Oh! when I did make the reservation, I seemed to be bothering them. I live in Palm Coast so this is not my first time to 386. However, it is my last. Waited about 25 mins for a table. Food was average at best. I ordered Grouper($ 28) and the piece of fish was so small my wife commented. Son ordered stone crab. He said they tasted good, three claws for $ 35. The couscous was not warm and he took a bite and told the waiter. It came back in 5 mins with the same folk mark where he tasted it. The owner came over and asked how was the meal. We told him the couscous was cold and did not taste well. He stated«it happens» and walked away. This was unreal. I keep trying so hard to like this place and this did it. Total bill with tip $ 181. Last money they get from our family. Crap, I was so hoping to like this place but they consistently disappoint. The waiter never came back for a desert order and I went to the bar for the check.

386 is wonderful. The fried chicken with grits and jalapeños is my favorite. The salmon is also great. They have a good kids menu and offer take out which is nice after a long day at the beach.

My wife and I went there a while back and didn’t think it was much over 1 star. I had a prime rib that was as tough as a shoe. I could only give a negative 1 star. It’s only the second time in my life that I have had a prime rib that bad The wait staff was nice.

Food was ok but didn’t offer anything unique. Fairly generic entrees prepared well. Food presentation was nice but dishes were scratched and chipped; not what I expected for a higher end restaurant. Bar did not offer cocktails; only beer and wine which was surprising considering it filled half the restaurant. Ambience was terrible. Tables too close together so server was bumping tables and dropped a fork on me while removing dishes. Prices too high for what you get.

So i have lived in palm coast for over 2 years and everyone kept telling me how wonderful this place was. So I finally went the other week and let me tell you, I don’t’ know where these reviews are coming from. The place itself is nothing fancy and the bar area very small. We sat at the bar and I asked the bartender to recommend me a good wine, telling him exactly what I like as I tend to enjoy a good wine, specifically telling him I prefer Italian reds to Napa. He brings me over a horrid California red. But trying to give them a chance, I did not send it back. I ordered tuna to find out they were out, so we ordered a few appetizers off the menu, the calamari, which was good and a special that was eggplant, tomatoes and mozzarella with a reduced vinegar on top. Both good, but nothing I would say different than any place else. I decided to order a bottle of wine, as the glass was not very good and although the wine list looks very nice, I tried to order a 2007 Chateauneuf Du Pape but was told they didn’t have it, but tried instead to give me a 2014 at the same price. If you don’t know wine, they are pretty much substituting an $ 80 bottle of wine with a $ 20 and then trying to pretend that it is the same thing. So I passed on their recommendation and after two unsuccessful attempts at other bottles on the list that they also did not have, ended up ordering a very nice 2012 Italian bottle. I gave the undrank glass back to the bartender who said to me, he really didn’t like that wine much either and my question to him was then why would you recommend it to me then? As we sat at the bar, the owner was talking to a group of regulars next to us and brought out a bottle of wine to show them, I asked during the conversation if I could see the bottle, he looked at me like I was nothing and without a word set it down close to me but far enough that I had to reach to get it. I said thank you and he just ignored me. Never once asking any of us how are food was or the bottle of wine was, although he stood at the end of the bar talking to the guys for a good 10 minutes. And the bar at that time and the restaurant were both pretty dead! My bill that night was over $ 150, more for wine than food, but the rudeness of the staff, especially the owner, I will never go back! In a small town, where locals sustain you and especially ones who will pay your prices, you need to learn to treat better and not try to swindle them with wine swaps and rude owners…

I would so like to give this restaurant 5 stars. We had calamari(yum!) as an appetizer. Rack of lamb and cioppino as entrees and molten chocolate and cheese cake as desserts. The food is excellent and if all you are going for is to fill your belly you will not be disappointed. However, if you like good service, this is not the place. We had to ask for water and bread. We both ordered salads and the entrée came out before the salads and our waiter(Also the chef and owner) said we didn’t need salad.(Really?) needless to say we never got the salad(s). The owner is wearing too many hats-while the wait staff was good at least two more people were needed. And one final note: it was our anniversary which we noted when we made the reservation. Nothing was said or acknowledged. Bottom line: don’t plan on this place for a celebration.. . Or good service.

«Welcome to Flavortown!» Frank, the owner and our server, commented the above when delivering to my place setting a perfectly cooked prime rib with the most amazing chipotle butter. He was spot on! You might not consider the place if just driving by. The exterior is very much ‘old Florida’ and certainly off the beaten trail. But let us not judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its silken flowers. What’s inside that counts: great food, exceptional unpretentious service and an owner who take utmost pride in his craft. Our visit was capped off with a rousing rendition of God Bless America, sung by the patrons of the bar area. Quite a way to leave Flavortown… only to hope to come back soon. One footnote: I wish I could give 4.5÷5. The only misstep was a confused order… my wife ordered sea bass with what was promised As Parmesan risotto. What came out was curried sea bass with jasmine rice… or so it tasted. She did not mention anything, though I’m sure Frank would have corrected it. But, that was the only wrong turn in Flavortown!!!

While on a mini vacation i came upon this little place. This place is delicious! I ordered crab cakes and they were spectacular, very lumpy and very flavorful. .I forgot to take pixs! Oh well next time! Very friendly and attentive staff!

Great food! We live in San Francisco and have the luxury of lots of great restaurants. It’s not as often when we travel and find a place as good as this one. The staff is friendly and food is great. We had a group of 8 and ordered the bone-in pork chop, cioppino, salmon and scallops. Everyone loves their dish. Definitely a place to hit if you’re in the area. Seems like the pork chop is the dish you definitely don’t want to miss.

The food was excellent – I had the petite filet & vegetable ravioli for an appetizer. They were able to get us in without a reservation with 30 minutes notice. The staff seemed overwhelmed– nice, but extremely busy and we had to wait a little while between dinner, dessert & getting the check. Overall excellent food & a great switch from fried seafood!
