Good but, I won’t drive 60 miles again just to go to Morton’s. Morton’s has been better. Tonight was a 4star not a 5star night. This may have just been an off night, that happens.

The experience was probably a solid 3, but when a place charges such high prices for their steaks I expect more. The service, sides, etc were great. I got a Cajun ribeye. The flavor was great, but the steak itself was disappointing. Ordered medium, got medium well, and the texture was a bit grainy and not tender. Again, most of it was a good experience, but they set their standards high and did not deliver. Won’t be back.

We have been there just for drinks and appetizers with another couple. We were surprised at how high the bill was for such little items. We decided months later to try it for dinner. We had a party of three. We were seated in a back room away f rom the main seating area. That was unnecessary. Service okay. Food prices? WAYWAYWAY overpriced. $ 52 for a small steak? The shrimp dish was poor. Pork chops were raw. The manager was called over and saw nothing wrong with the bloodied pork. Would not recommend this place.

Tried the power hour bar bites Filet sandwich cheeseburger fries wedge salad All were good and if you are not too hungry it’s enough While the prices are discounted you will spend $ 50 plus alcohol for 2 and be forced to valet park

My spouse was celebrating her birthday so we decided on dining at someplace special, and we chose Morton’s, since given all the cuisines to choose from prime steak is still our favorite. Morton’s did not disappoint. It’s probably the best steakhouse currently in the desert. I hate Mastro’s which has decent steak but frames it all in classless sports bar setting with five televisions spaced around the dining room, all playing different stations at top volume while live entertainment blasts through the PA. I used to like Ruth Chris but we’ve swore off the restaurant in the desert because they failed to honor reservations too many times in the past, signaling a lack of respect for its patrons. Morton’s atmosphere is steakhouse refined with Leather booths and Frank Sinatra playing at a median volume in the background. The steak is amazing. We both had the NY Strip and it melted in your mouth. We tried the lyonnaise potatoes which were prepared well with caramelized onions. For desert, we chose the Grand Manier soufflé which was light as air. Be advised though that unless you’re Donald Trump, this is a restaurant for very special occasions only. We didn’t drink because we’re teetotalers and the bill came to $ 150 for the two of us before tips.

I feel horrible giving only one star but we really had a disappointing experience. Hearing how amazing Mortans is from so many people we finally decided to try it out… And sadly I wish we never did. It all started last week before even visiting, I called looking to see if I should make reservations and was quickly told there is no need but yet upon arriving the girl asked for our name and I said I was told there is no need to make a reservation she replied with o well its going to be an hour and half wait lol really! But we kindly just smiled and put our name down and grabbed a drink and waited in the bar after waiting so long and getting really hungry we ordered the scallop appetizer unfortunately they were over powered by the over cooked bacon they were wrapped in. Once our table was ready we were quickly greated with our waiter to get our drink orders I ordered some melon spritzer(sounded refreshing after a day by the pool) wish I just stuck to Belvedere on the rocks! It was weird tasting and way too sweet. We ordered once my drink came, my husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered a bowl of lobster bisque to start with and then for my dinner I ordered salmon topped with crab meat and shrimp on the side. The bisque was way to rich and did not taste like lobster bisque it just tasted like a bowl of butter and quickly gave me an upset stomach. Once our dinner arrived both our meals were cold! Not even warm but at this point we were trying to make the best of it and not complain. My husbands steak was so dry and had no flavor. My salmon I will say was good even though it was cold. The shrimp I took one bite and spit out! You could tell they had been cooked hours earlier and were just sitting around waiting to be plated. Half way through my meal I found a hair with my salmon(wish I would of gotten a pic to prove) clearly not mine quickly getting grossed out I put my plate aside, a waiter(not ours because ours was busy spending the last 20 minutes talking to the table next to us) came and grabbed our plates and asked how our meal was I replied«ok until I found this» apparently he was trying to make light of the situation and told me «well it doesn’t look like yours maybe it’s your husbands» ya my husbands who was sitting across from me and was no where near my plate and it just somehow got under my salmon… O ya that makes sense! Quickly realizing he shouldn’t of said that he got the manager the manager came over and apologized and comped my meal. After such a horrible experience he should of comped our entire bill but whatever! We left irritated and extremely disappointed with our entire experience. I do hope to try this Mortans location in Palm Desert agian but it may be a while before I give them another try.

Let me just start by saying that I am a diehard Morton’s fan. Their food, in my past experiences, has been killer. This by no means, is a review of their food(especially since we weren’t able to eat it). We just tried to come in for a late dinner with clients and were turned down, even though they are listed as open until 11:00 on their Unilocal profile. When I checked in with the hostess on our short taxi ride over, all she had to say was, «nope. We’re closed. idk, we are closed at 10. I don’t control our Unilocal.» What an embarrassment in front of potential business. Being that they are within about 100 yards of a very successful conference hotel, you might think their information being correct would be a priority? In my humble opinion, I would recommend you, Morton’s, get it together, ASAP. Handle your potential guests with empathy… you’re known as a classy joint, I’d hate for you to lose that reputation.

Thank you so much for accommodating a room for 7 of my friends. It was a nice dinner filled with laughter and good food. Did i mention since we had a private room no one else were around us so we were LOUD. LOL… having a private room also cost us 6% of our total bill which was fine. It was totally worth it. Rocky was our server and he was absolutely great. He took tons of photos for us with no complaints. He even posed for some. Food: Had the Burrata salad which was yummy. I love Creamy Burrata with balsamic vinaigrette. For dinner i had the Bone In Rib Eye served medium and an Idaho Baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream and bacon. And for dessert, we ordered 2 soufflé’s that took about 45 minutes to make so if you want that dessert make sure you order it ahead of time. Definitely a 5 star experience. Although i had the rib eye, i tasted my friends Porterhouse and omg, that was better than my rib eye. I will definitely order that next time. Lastly, we brought 2 bottles of our own wines and the corkage fee is $ 29.

So I am giving Morton’s The Steakhouse five stars because of the service and the food and the all around great experience. I made my reservation on Saturday the 12th for Sunday the 13th for our one year marriage anniversary. Sunday afternoon I received a call from Dan the assistant manager who wanted to confirm our reservation and he was really pleasant and even asked what anniversary are you celebrating and congratulated us. When we got there around 7:30 it wasn’t a busy night when we got there and Dan check on our table and we were seated right away. David was our server who was absolutely amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the quality of the food. He explained that he and his wife eat there and the food that they love eat and gave use really good information. So we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Alexander as an appetizer, the Cajun Ribeye Steak and 6 oz. Filet Mignon with 3 Grilled Shrimp &2 Bacon Wrapped Scallops for entrees, and we also got the hot chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was simply delicious, very flavorful, and cooked exactly how we wanted it Medium for out steaks. We ordered two glasses of the St. Supéry, Moscato, and two martinis a little later. The wine was great very, very good the martinis were good, but very strong so know that. David our server was awesome and we would love if we return to have him help us again. Dan was amazing as well and I also appreciated the call from Josh the following day to say he hoped we had a great time and enjoyed our anniversary dinner. This place is great and I will return.

It’s good ! Moscato on the menu is always a plus ! Good wedge salad and they let you split the salads. The filet is wonderful and the sides are excellent. The chocolate mouse and the cappuccino are my favorite. Excellent attentive staff! Enjoyed our anniversary dinner.

Went for our anniversary and was a bit disappointed. I’ve been to a few other steak houses and this was the first at Morton’s. Our waiter, although nice, had a very thick accent and spoke way to fast. The steak and Mac and cheese were good. Bread was just ok and there was butter all over the butter plate. The chopped salad was good but not great. It was little things that bothered me, like where they sat us, right in the front, next to the waiter stand or spilling drops of water when refilling the water glasses. Overall the ambiance was very loud. The wait staff seemed hurried and the management would come by and check in but I didn’t feel they truly cared more they were just making an appearance because they had to. And overall didn’t make anything feel very special, especially for the price.

I’m a tad bit disappointed I have been wanting to try Mortons for a while now since we had heard great reviews. But it fell short of what was expected. Food– I expected a great tasting steak but it was just OK. And you don’t go to an expensive steakhouse for an OK steak. I asked for it medium-well and received it medium. And it didn’t have much flavor, very bland. But the sides are really good we ordered au gratin potatoes and the bacon Mac cheese. Service– the service was great. No complaints.

One of the best dinner experiences WE have had. The minute WE walked thru the doors & greeted by Dan, WE knew it was just beginning. The service & food were impeccable. WE have to say that the meat was prepared as ordered and was one of the most mouth watering cuts WE have had. WE tip our hats to Morton’s.

When I decided to spend the money for Lobster Night I felt I did this last year and had a lot of delicious food and service. Not this time, after a long month of things going wrong my life — Morton was added to the list. I had asked for the House Cabernet for 7.50 and charged the wrong amount but I was just too tired to bother to point this out. I was excited for an nice evening — the waiter and the visiting manager was very nice however, the experience was not supported by the supporting staff. The chef does not know how to cook a bake potato — the first potato was over cooked and dry — the second one had some moisture. The waitress that served it was overtaken by my request to send that potato back to for another one. She said they are all like that«how disappointing for 13.00 a five star place can not cook a bake potato». I figure she would come back in a few minutes but it was like 15 or the waiter chased down the server — as my lobster cool off. The server has no skill in presenting the entrees that go on the potato nor the interpersonal skills in communicating with the customer. There was no love in making the food. I have come here before — never had an experience like this. I have gone to Morton since I was a kid — in Chicago, SF, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and here. My experience in other Mortons has been excellent — as matter of fact, I was in Chicagos’ Morton in 2012 «Excellent — and did not mind the 250.00 dollar bill — awesome food» Well, I felt bad for the manager and the person that served me since really it was not their fault. Whoever is the Regional Executive Chef for Morton has to come back to re-train staff. In all, I walked away with the smallest bill that I ever paid at a Mortons’ — sad, that this did not brighten my day or month of bad luck — this just added to it.

The steakhouse that gives more than theBEST steak… The Palm Desert location will kill you with kindness, service and loving tenderness! Haven’t had a bad meal. I also recommend that you sign up for their valuable customer program. Wow! Wonderful rewards just for being a loyal customer! Morton’s my hats off to you for keeping an eye on quality & service.

We have been going to this Morton’s many times over the last three years. It’s one of our favorite happy hours in Palm Desert. Delicious food, fantastic drinks, and wonderful friendly service. Some of my favorite dishes are the crab cakes, iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, prime cheeseburgers, and the crab/artichoke dip. Go and enjoy!

We ate dinner here on 04/09/2015. First the less favorable stuff: This place should have 5 or 6 dollar signs $$$$$$ in its prices rating. Everything is ala carte: entre, salad, vegetable, potato are all priced separately so a $ 50 steak quickly becomes a $ 75 meal. Our dinner for two with no drinks and no dessert was $ 147 before the tip. Furthermore, the place was too noisy for a fine dining experience. The music was loud and more suited to a pub than an exclusive restaurant. On the four star side: service was outstanding –wait staff was almost overwhelmingly attentive and the quality of the meal was superb. Beef is all USDA *prime* and its grain-fed — none of that tasteless grass-fed stuff. I recommend this place for a special evening, BUT, it would be a lot nicer experience if they would tone down the music and decrease its volume.

Too bad that they are getting this review base on their late night Happy Hour. It’s a nice steakhouse. Had the filet mignon sliders and the cheeseburger sliders. I wouldn’t go back for either. The filet mignon sliders were mostly bread and the cheeseburger sliders were just the opposite. Burger was stacked so tall you had to separate the top half with the lettuce and tomato from the bottom to get it into your mouth. Maybe some of the other items on the list are better. I understand that the earlier happy hour is very popular. It must be for the drinks. You would think that Morton’s would do better and be more thoughtful with their happy hour food offerings.
