I would review a –0 if I could, but that’s not an option. James the Bartender is so rude. He has about 5 people at the bar and it took him 10 minutes to acknowledge us. After serving 2 of us our drinks I have to ask«where is the one I ordered?» He brings it over and I try to stay nice and say thank you! Would you mind taking a picture of us? He says«no. Not now. » He should not be in the service industry. I would never come back to this pool/bar/hotel because of this. We actually just checked in for a girls night away and I am already searching near by places to go. Rude rude rude person!

Great place to relax on the long weekend by the pool. In 100 degree heat, they had sprinklers at the bar and there were plenty of umbrellas and shady trees native to the desert to keep us cool. Also, the bathrooms behind the bar in the same building as the Spa have showers to wash off the chlorine in case you don’t want to go back to your room.

Lots of yummy drinks and food items! Servers and bartenders are super cool! Good place to vacation when you wanna escape OC and LA! Got a DJ on saturdays at the smaller pool which turns into a fun party! Cool artwork of old hollywood stars and a retro ambiance.

— There are unmarked assigned areas where you can and can not order from. Staff is ready to correct you in a very unfriendly way. –Employees joke very heavily to each other and is very uncomfortable to watch especially when they get very upset to one another. — Bar tender decided to completely ignore me for a long period of time while he was taking my order because a girl was talking to him in a foreign language he didn’t even understood… that was rude!

bar overlooking the pool –not a young person hangout(think 35+), but bar scene still pretty decent for people watching

Most Beautiful Pool area to lounge at! Love having drinks while I lay out and read a book. I would recommend going to the restaurant by the pool for lunch instead of DT to get a quick bite

Love chillin’ here on their loungers and beds. It’s nice that they have bed areas that don’t have to be reserved.(They have reserved ones too, that are more elaborate.) But, when you want to feel luxurious and not have to reserve anything, it’s nice. The food menu is good and they have some healthy options, like salads. The drinks are fancy and fun!

Nice pool, however our waitress was not so great. It took her over 30 minutes to deliver beer. I mean it’s beer, it’s in a can! The DJ that day was meah, and the pool was warm and gross looking… like everyone was peeing in the water. We were there with a friends birthday party, but I’m not sure I’d be back.

$ 9 for some chips n a tiny cup of salsa… sucks. Not a huge variety of cocktails. Most of the people working were very friendly, except for one young lady was very rude. We brought out beer that we bought at the store IN the hotel, and she threatened to call security immediately because they don’t allow outside food. After telling her that we just bought it here, she said that rule is no glass, so we poured it into plastic cups. Just overall a terribly rude and unmannered waitress. Too bad I forgot her name(but she was working 8⁄14 all day), and didn’t want to ruin my trip by calling the manager. I liked the pool and jacuzzi though and chairs.

Awesome place to lay by the pool and take in the sun drinking cocktails, enjoying the music and watching the beautiful crowd. The food was ok good enough for a pool lunch/snack the drinks were yummy and just strong enough! The service was friendly. Overall I was very relaxed and had a great time!

We just did lunch here one day by the pool. So, I can’t speak for the rooms. The grounds are awesome and really nice. The lunch and the service that came with it… not so much. Our server was a total personality-less robot who didn’t care about us. I tried to joke around, get a reaction or anything from him and he could care less. Drinks were expensive and watered down. Food was OK and typical hotel pool food, but nothing special. I’m glad I checked out the Riviera, and I might have just been there for lunch, but given better service I might have considered staying here my next visit. Not now…

The Bikini Bar is the pool area for the Riviera Palm Springs. The husband and I really enjoyed the pool area and hung around from 10am — 2 pm. POOL: The layout of the pool has not changed from the previous design and has an amoeba-like shape. We spent less time in the pool itself, because the temp of the pool was pretty cool(we were told it was 80 degrees, but I doubt it.) It could have been warmer on such a cold day(although cold days are more rare in PS). JACUZZI: The jacuzzi was mostly enjoyable. It is not huge and it can fit 10 adults comfortably, but add the kids in or too many people and it was less pleasureable. The temp of this water was surprisingly not hot; it was enjoyable nonetheless.(Note you have to keep restarting the jets every 15 minutes, standard at many places.) CABANAS: There are cabanas throughout the pool, available for rentals. They include couches to lounge on, shade to stay cool in, and TV’s to watch whatever you should choose. Unfortunately, our football game we planned to watch on Fox ended up NOT playing on Fox and we were bummed about that.(Obviously not the hotel’s fault, although perhaps they’d want to invest in the NFL package?) SERVICE: Just as throughout the Riviera hotel, everyone here was super friendly and offered genuinely good customer service. The bartenders, the pool service staff, and even just the staff walking through were all tremendously nice. AMBIANCE: The pool area is very Vegas-esque but not like the pool clubs, but the hotel pools. It has a range of the older adults there to relax, the adults there to show off their bodies, and the families. That being said, I have to make one complaint about the parents who were allowing their kids to play Marco Polo, do handstands and flips in the Jacuzzi, as well as letting their kids drink from the water thermoses with their mouths versus cups. Yes, I did advise the staff to replace them and TRULY wanted to tell the parents to supervise their children better. I also have a big issue with kids being in Jacuzzis, especially if they’re loud, obnoxious and splashing. Other than that, there are tons of lounge chairs around the pool, including bed-like lounge things that can fit 2 people on them and have pillows. Loved them! Oh and the music… it switched between hip hop and Sinatra. I preferred the Sinatra. Bottom Line — I want to go back. Very soon!

Perfect bar pool food! A great combination of healthy and junk food, and of course a great selection of house drinks! Even better they have a great cooling system with misters all around! Perfect for the Palm Springs heat!

Ordered a Tequila Sunrise and Passion Flower(on of their signature cocktails). Both were poured good and strong… The tequila sunrise almost to much so but for 14 dollars I appreciate they make it worth my buck(or what would have been my buck had i not gotten it for free lol). We also ordered chips and salsa/Guacamole that were as good as it could be. At first the poolside service was slow but they eventually brought an extra cabana boy and all was well. I wouldn’t order to much other food off the moenu even though it looked good it was all way over priced(those chips were $ 8) but I enjoyed what I had :)

Pretty good food and drinks. The service wasn’t bad. Only complaint was that they let us buy a day bed that was paid for but no one showed up for and they tried to charge my maid of honor full price for it still at 2PM. It didn’t take very long for her to get it half off though. And after we got the day bed they treated us very nicely so it was a good experience overall. I especially liked that they didn’t search our bags and make us take our water back to the room like some hotel pools would have you do. The fish tacos were great for lunch and it was fun to order a breakfast burrito the next morning. And there is good complimentary coffee in the mornings.

Hot servers in bikinis surrounded by gorgeous pool, mountain views & fire pits for the evening. What else could you want? Spendy, but worth it. This bar is located poolside at the Riviera Hotel.
