Hotel service and quality you’re hotel is a Motel 6 with the most attention you receive comes from the flies. Besides the fact I bussed my own table, got ourselves menus, and found someone to bring water and we never got our drinks until 30 min after our food came out which also took exceptionally long, at least the food was… Look at the photo. Place sucks. Unless you are too shitfaced to know the difference.

I was sitting down for 15 minutes I kid you not and we never greeted by a server. I was walked past at least 10+ times I finally had to ask if they could make an exception if they could still serve breakfast because we got there before 11 but were greeted after 11. The man I asked, I think his name was Carlos. And he said no I don’t think so and I asked nicely if he could please find out and he said«I can’t but ask your server» after that my server still ignored my table and so I just left. Awful impression to leave on a guest.

The food here is pretty good and the people serving us were nice and attentive. I honestly think it’s overpriced but that’s what you get when you eat at a resort. It was a gorgeous day so we were seated outside — that was my favorite part of the meal. I love the way they’ve set up the décor both inside and outside of the hotel, everything is so beautiful. I ordered the short stack pancakes, which was a pretty good size for a «smaller portion». The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the edges were a little crispy, which added a nice crunch. We saw someone else receive their pancakes with strawberry topping… wish we had thought of that. My boyfriend ordered the salmon omelette — there was salmon pieces in the center of the fold and on top of the omelette. The salmon was a bit salty but the dish was good overall.

Wow, really not impressed with this culinary experience. The service was bad(didn’t even refill our water glasses). The Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft, the parsnips were over cooked and the chicken dish wasn’t as flavorful as it appeared & definitely not worth the exorbitant $. The dessert was the best part however we only ordered one to share and they brought two! Obviously the wait staff wasn’t very attentive and it wasn’t because they were super busy. In fact we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Don’t waste your time! There has to be much better options in Palm Springs for the price. The ambience was nice but the food didn’t live up to the quality of the fine dining experience.

We celebrated new years eve 2015 – 16. We were seated and NEVER saw a wait person all evening… Not ALL Evening… we asked 3 – 4 wait people for; 1. A clean water glass 2. A steak knife 3. Water, sever times. It was a buffet, so we ate, and eventually I spoke with the manager, and a server, eventually showed up. Absolutely worst service and attention to detail ever! And our reservations were at 9:00 pm, so busy, but not crazy busy. Entire meal should have been comped.

Nice outdoor settings in this restaurant overlooking the pool. We ordered sea bass with ratatouille as a side. The portion was perfect, not too big not too small leaving enough room to have a desert. Server was very friendly and ambience was amazing, very romantic place. Interior was beautiful with lots of chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. For lovers, this is a must place to be.

This place is amazing! It’s located at the Riviera resort in Palm Springs, but you don’t have to be a guest staying there to dine. I’ve been here almost every single time I’ve been to Palm Springs, and that’s a lot because I’m from SFV, which is like 2 hr drive max. Décor: OMG! Amazing! Every table you get seated at you feel like you’re royalty. I believe they have two types of seating arrangements. One is a plain white table and chairs which mostly is located outside by the pool giving you a laid back feel. Outside area has huge chandeliers hanging above you giving you the glam feel. So the way this place is designed is the outside merges with the inside area but can be closed off anytime with the folding glass doors. So the inside has a few of the same white tables and chairs with a cute romantic candle lit in the middle. Beside that there are booths! I love the booths. They’re so comfortable. They’re dark reddish I believe and the booth is a semi circle so you don’t see people dinning next to you as you look out to the pool area. The inside also has huge chandeliers hanging some of them are bright red and some are black. The last time I was there we were with a group of I believe 12 – 14 people and we made a reservation. When we arrived there they greeted us and walked us to a private room with a big table, amazing décor, a huge mirror across one of the walls, and again one of those huge chandeliers(I have a thing for classical chandeliers). Once we were seated we had complete privacy and felt like freaking royalty. We had several waiters not just one. They were very attentive to our needs. Food: been here plenty times as I mentioned before. However I’ll only tell you what we ordered the last time we were there with the big group. We were there for brunch. We ordered a bottle of one of their good champagnes for mimosas, coffee, tea for drinks. The food was delicious I ordered something with eggs, bacon and potatoes. Don’t exactly remember the name, was few months back. My friends ordered a salmon breakfast, my boyfriend ordered the same thing as me. Our total came to be around $ 360 tip not included. Anyways even though u cannot remember the plate names, this place is amazinggg!!! I love going back there because the food is great, the décor is beautiful, the service is exceptional! I will definitely be back!

Beautiful décor with nice indoor and outdoor seating! I enjoyed the wedge salad with the most amazing sweet and spicy bacon. For my entrée, I enjoyed the chicken with wild rice and broccoli rabe… tasty and so flavorful! This beautiful hotel doesn’t disappoint with a beautifully appointed restaurant with top notch food too.

Ate here recently while staying at the hotel. Good service and nice décor. Scallops, Shrimp Cocktail and Salmon dishes were all on point which complemented the setting. Highly recommend sitting outside next to the fire pits or in the larger booth seating. Also came here for breakfast the next day which was Amazing! The service was 6 star and our server Carlos made our day by helping with my wife’s allergy. Hope the restaurant mgmt reads this and shows Carlos some love. Overall Recommended based on service at a 5 star and food at a 4 star.

I love the Riviera Hotel in general and this restaurant is consistent with the overall property. It is just inside the hotel in the back on the lower level near the pool. Parking is easiest and best by valet. The food was good and the service was excellent. It absolutely has a very cool retro feel of living decades ago.

Staying at the Rivera arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 am and they casually showed up at 7:15. Ordered hot chocolate(took ten minutes but was delicious) eggs benadict and a croissant were amazing. Day two I had the corn beef has. I did not love it. Flavor combinations were not good.

What a beautiful on site restaurant at Riviera hotel, the patio is exceptionally lovely, perfect for breakfast and brunch. We grabbed a quick bite here after our spa & pool time late afternoon. The dinner menu isn’t big but very interesting with good selections. The dishes are from then to now, I suppose the«then» dishes are more traditional American, the«now» dishes are more of American new. Started with bottle of sparkling water and two sweet drinks, we had been drinking all day, really needed something mellow for the time being. Dinner dishes: Lobster bisque: flavorful and rich, hubby liked it alright, a little too creamy for his taste. Shrimp cocktail with arugula salad: super fresh and tender jumbo shrimps, great cocktail sauce and arugula greens, loved it. Scallops with bacon and veggies: perfectly seared scallops, tender, liked the sauce so much, hubby liked the bacon in it. Tuna sashimi: a very refreshing dish, loved the tuna, watermelon radish and jalapeño, especially the spicy ponzu sauce. A surprisingly good Asian fusion dish at an American restaurant. Pork tenderloin with peach– black truffle preserve: the pork was lean but not tender enough for hubby, the flavors were very good. Side of sautéed wild mushrooms: so good, salty and comforting, just what I needed at the moment. The food portions were perfect, not too big or too small, just enough for the two of us, the service was very attentive and friendly. This is a very nice spot for brunch or dinner and late night, they have live band performing on both nights we stayed at the hotel. I would have loved to sit at the patio if it wasn’t too hot, but we are coming back in fall, so the weather will be perfect for patio dining then!

Thoroughly mediocre in food and service. They have a captive audience, it shows. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. Our meals were proficient and bland, mostly lukewarm. Long gaps between service stops. It’s not crazy expensive given the portion sizes. Two people could easily split a breakfast or salad. Check in for free booze!

We came 7minutes after the breakfast menu was over and was told that there was nothing to do, our only option was brunch«Way to keep your customers happy» The service and food was awful, the waiter filling water was better then anyone else. Would I go back to this place? Defiantly NOT! The 2stars are for the waiter filling waiter.

Had lunch and breakfast here. For lunch we had the clam showder soup and lobster mac and cheese. Left satisfied. Pinky graciously suggested we make a breakfast reservation, which we did. Breakfast by the pool was nice. I highly recommend the Riviera and her host Pinky. Pinky always wears a smile and she is very professional.

Wow, what a nice surprise. I had not been inside the Rivera Hotel for a few years. The last time I had been here was for a show in the ballroom before the much needed remodel. The Rivera Hotel was built in 1959, hence the name of the restaurant — clever — I like it! The restaurant is big. Inside it looks like a regular nice restaurant with booths and tables. Outside, the restaurant overlooks the pool, is surrounded with fire pits, and has very trendy décor, with a touch of nostalgia. We were a group of 12 inside a private room with a glass wall giving us a beautiful outside view. The live music from the lounge is played over the speakers throughout the restaurant and the singer sounded great. Service was friendly, albeit a little slow to return with items. My food was delicious — a Caesar salad, tender and flavorful grilled flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and arugula. Dessert was crème brûlée with a hint of lemon. The only negative was it was late,(I was there for a total of 2 ½ hours), I had a 30-minute drive back home, and I had to ask too many times for my bill. When my entrée was served, I asked for my dessert to be packaged to go and the bill. Then, everyone was served dessert and after that, I received my to-go container, but no bill. So, I asked again. Everyone finished eating their desserts and I’m still waiting, still no bill. I walked up to the kitchen and said I’m leaving *now.* I was finally handed the bill to pay. This ruined what would have been a 5-star experience. Tip: Remember to have your valet parking ticket validated.

Reservations for 2 outside by the fire at 7. Was told our table wasnt ready, they needed 20 min and would call. 40 min later, no call. I walk to the hostess, they find us a spot by the fire. Server comes quick, takes a drink order. Comes back pretty fast with the drink, takes our food order. Looking pretty good so far. This is right before 8pm. And we wait And wait And wait Appetizer comes and her salad. 35 min later. We ordered a second round of drinks. Its small(pretty good) goes fast. And wait And wait No drinks, no entrée. Its 9:15PM. I saw on the host screen when I mentioned that we are leaving, he clicked on my name it said we had been seated for 1:16. 1 hour and 16 minutes no entrée? REALLY? After screwing up our reservations, not calling me and making us wait 40 min, and then making us wait LONGER? Almost 2 and ½ hours wasted. Not to mention 5 min on this review helping people avoid bad service. I can’t imagine trying our luck again with being treated like that

Circa 59 is that hot chick with no personality and the palette of a 9 year old. The ambience is great, servers were friendly. But who is running this kitchen/bar? If we had stuck to appetizers, it would’ve been decent. Salmon crudo, truffle fries and mac & cheese were pretty good, but we chanced entrees. Much regret ensued. Asked for beef tenderloin medium rare, came back well. No pink to be found. The Acqua Pazza was nothing to write home about and the sausage was rock hard.(That’s what she said.) In regards to the drink situation, I ordered a dark & stormy to keep my rum game flowing. What was delivered to me was a tall beer. Uhh… wat? So after awkwardly explaining the cocktail’s ingredients to the waitress, she came back with a better semblance of it. She did only charge me for a beer price for the mix-up, so I appreciated that. Completely comped would’ve been cool too… tl;dr Stay for appetizers and no other food, order basic drinks.

Five stars because my experience here was wonderful! First, just walking through the Riviera to get to Circa59 is a 5 star experience. The hotel lobby is so oppulent and beautiful that it made me so sorry that we booked at the Hard Rock Hotel. My bf and I stopped by for brunch before getting on the road back to LA and we are so glad we did. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Wednesday morning so the staff took great care of us. We ordered a few menu items, all different, nothing cohesive, but we loved each item. I have to say that their truffle french fries are to die for!!! They were so good, OMG! When we were seated I mentioned to the server that we were in Palm Springs celebrating my birthday, so the chef personally brought out a special birthday treat just for me!!! I know that this is probably standard practice but that added a very nice touch to our meal and I felt so special! The restaurant, in my opinion, is decorated just as nice as the hotel lobby and has great view of the pool area, which is also beautiful.

We went for brunch on a Sunday. The pool had a decent amount of foot traffic as did the main dining hall. There’s a cereal bar with toppings which I skipped over. What appeared to be french toast was done on baguettes which proved a tad tough & unpleasant to eat in the long run. They have a good amount of sausage links and crunchy thick bacon for the taking & they are quick to refill the heating trays. The fruit was fresh but there were a ton of flies everywhere, which was a bit of a turn-off on the non-covered items. The MUST have is the DIY but«Y’d» by the chef at the station. He asked for my toppings, sauteed them for a little bit & then scooped in a few ladles of egg. It visually did not look that impressive but it was fluffy & delicious. Not sure if I’d be back since the hotel stay wasn’t that great, but if you do… omlet bar is the way to go!!!
