How this place doesn’t have 5 stars is beyond me. Line cook deserves a medal and the manager has this place running like formula one pit crew. Avocado asparagus egg white omelette. Mercy.

Awesome corn beef hash and eggs. I ordered the hash well done – the best I have ever had. Home fries are crazy good. My sister ordered an omelet and said it was very good. I live 2 hours away. I will come back and have that corn beef hash. We liked breakfast so much that we went to Rick’s other location down the street for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not have the same dining experience there.

I hope I got the correct Rick’s, there are 2 locations on the same road. Service was great and breakfast was great, and decent coffee too. We took some cinnamon rolls to go. They are just OK, I thought the dough was tough. I will definitely return because of service, location and value.

Great townie diner atmosphere. This isn’t one of those we’re-trying-look-like-a-diner-but-serve-pretentious-food places, It’s the real deal! Just look around at all the PS Rotary Club plaques, old pics on the wall, and the diner specials brochure that was made with what had to be Windows 98 clip art. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and though it was busy, we didn’t have a wait which was nice. Friendly service, our waiter was curious as to where we were from(detected an accent) and told us about why he came to PS from LA, why he likes it there, etc. Simple and delicious food. I ordered eggs, toast, and hash browns and my fiancé went with steak and home fries. The combination of seasoning, grease, and skillet peppers paired with his home fries was DELICIOUS. Reasonably priced, yummy food, and a great spot to mingle with the locals. we’d love to return next time we’re in town!

I ordered a custom California omelet. Coffee, cinnamon roll. Great service. Very busy in there, but still, our coffees never went empty. Clean bathroom, clean floors, flatware, plates, and cups. Would like to come in here for pie and coffee soon.

Saw the reviews and thought we would give it a try. I had a French Toast slam and It was pretty darn good. My husband had Chicken Fried steak and Hasbrowns. He said the hash browns were good, but was not pleased with the chicken fried steak. It had more of a beer batter coating instead of the traditional flour coating. He said it was a little much. We will try this place again and try the waffles and chicken.

Our server was happy, peppy, quick, attentive, friendly, and spot on! Our food was breakfast, diner, fast, well seasoned, and a cure for our hangovers! The baby at the next table was loud, obnoxious, crying, yelling, shrieking, and popped a nerve in my ear canal!

Fifteen of us showed up for a hungover breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated right away by friendly staff that continued to be upbeat and attenative throughout the meal. ALL of our food was excellent from the Lox plate, blueberry frenchtoast, huevos rancheros, steak n eggs, chicken fried steak and omlettes. Our waitress was wonderful and so was the food! Great Palm Springs breakfast memory!

Love this little diner. This is a DINER, not a trendy trying toooo be a diner, but a DINER. My preference is to belly up to the counter and eat. This is a big locals place and everyone is super friendly. Counter staff is always ONIT with coffee refills and anythign else you need. If you want to go hog wild, get the cinnamon bun. It’s the size of your head. The pancakes are great, as are the hash browns. Perfectly crisp. Anytime I order eggs, they just right. It’s a simple diner with typical diner food. Great prices, no frills and you can roll in here after a night out in PS without having to worry about looking alive. ;)

First time in Palm Springs, this was the first place I ate and it was divine. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with whole potatoes and it was just magic. They serve large, fluffy, buttermilk biscuits along with a gorgeous country gravy. Ive never been happier with breakfast: D

A local diner for local eats. Rick’s Restaurant & Bakery is right there for you when you need it. From the few times I have been here, service has been good. Meeting Mr. Rick was cool! He is right there in the eatery, greeting customers as they walk in, serving customers, and taking orders. And that’s the owner. Not taking anything away from Ms. Adrian, she is pleasant and courteous. Patient too b/c sometimes it can take me a bit to figure out what I actually want. They even give a discount to the military! Ordering is very simple. My usual is the #3 Rick’s House Special w/a side of grits. Be sure to come hungry. The plates the food comes on are big but thats only the case b/c the food is in large portions. Overall the food is pretty good. Hash browns, eggs and toast are on point. The grits is nice and thick. I tasted an order of ham. Unfortunately it’s not to my liking. It’s a bit bland, not sweet like I usually eat. The waiters and waitresses are always making sure your beverage is full. Your cup will never be empty… unless you tell them no refill is necessary. My time here was a good one overall. Be able to eat and enjoy the old school tunes playing overhead is nice. Thank you for serving! fin.

Total rip off!!! $ 8.00 for a bowl of soup which is more like a cup size-if that. There is also a $ 10.00 minimum for lunch!!! I have never heard of that in my life! The hostess tried to make me pay an extra $ 1.96 to meet the $ 10.00 minimum!!! After arguing with her she rang me up for just the soup and told me that she wouldn’t ring me up for the extra to meet the $ 10.00, but it wasn’t good for the business!!! What??? I WILLNEEEEEEEEEVVVVVEEERR be back!!!

My friend and I came here after hiking in Mount San Jacinto State Park. We wanted a place with good food that wouldn’t mind us being super casual, and Rick’s did not disappoint. They seemed busy, but we were seated right away by a cheerful hostess. Immediately a gentleman asked what we would like to drink and he returned promptly with our waters. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My friend ordered the tuna melt and a side salad and I ordered the French dip with a side salad – and we opted to share our sandwiches, so I can tell you both were amazing. They had healthy menu options for breakfast and lunch, but when I see a French dip on a menu it’s game over and it did not disappoint! A simple sandwich with tons of flavor and plenty of au jus! The tuna melt was LOADED! Delicious tuna with plenty of veggies included and REAL cheese that was oozing out of the sandwich. Delicious! The restaurant was clean and they had numerous dessert options that were tempting us, but we declined. I would go back!

FUC’n — A… That’s about all I can say. Can’t really comment on the wait staff but I can comment on the folks at the register and the food. The place was not lacking patrons and it’s pretty decent sized inside… We were warmly greeted by a young lady and a gentleman at the register,(I may be incorrectly assuming the gentleman was RICK himself). Super cool, super friendly, super chill peeps up in there… They made us feel like we walked into one of our own family kitchens!!! It’s almost like I expected Granny to run up to tell me to wash my face and hands before eating!!! We ordered take out from here after randomly searching for, and subsequently finding, this here place. Must have ordered half the freaking breakfast menu to boot!!! Even though I ordered eggs benedict, I also ordered biscuits and gravy, as I had a gnarly ass craving for some. I figured what the hay… If I can’t eat it I’m sure one of us will. That was the best decision I could have made because that $hit was so, so good. We all ended up sharing it just to spread the wealth, LOL.(BTW… The eggs benedict wasn’t to shabby either). The ham steaks looked something like the center cut of a pork belly. A two count of those bad boys, ginormous in both stature and pure unabated delisciousness, verified and certified by my son-in-law…(P.S… the dude likes to eat). We also ordered up a cinnamon roll that is pretty much the size of a catcher’s glove, packed with a sweet, warm cinnamon center and topped with icing that’ll damn near put you into cardiac arrest. OH-EM-GEE was it good!!! Breakfast for the 8 of us was around $ 70… Not cheap like a «Moons Over My Hammy» from your local Denny’s, but not expensive either and well worth it… Awesome place and will definitely give them another go next time we’re in town.

Pretty good breakfast food, but nothing you haven’t had before. We got free breakfast vouchers from staying at The Monroe. Two eggs, hash browns, toast, and coffee. Overall it was pretty good. We shared a cinnamon bun which was pretty tasty. I’d recommend it! The wait was 20min but we managed to snag seats at the bar almost immediately. Service was very attentive and quick. Better than Dennys and overall good experience.
