Just when I thought I was in a place where no one knew my name! Nope… Still a very cool place to grab a few and listen to some good music.

I love this hotel and I love this lounge! Super chill vibe with great bar tenders who always mix up some super special hand crafted cocktails for us. The starlite lounge also has one of the best Charcuteries in Palm Springs! The drinks are a little on the pricey side but the atmosphere makes it totally worth it… This IS where The Rat Pack used to hang out after all! On Friday and Saturday nights around 10pm, it turns into a «pop up club» featuring Female vinyl DJ, Shasta. I think they call it #ClubRiviera — Her tunes are a spot on, deep and indie house, 90’s remix vibe and she is great at reading the crowd. This is a Palm Springs local secret that has no cover and great happy hour with drinks specials. You can catch me there most Friday and Saturdays when I’m in Palm Springs

Total fail. Champagne service started at 7. At 653 we thought maybe an early drink? Nope! Shut down! The staff then ran after us to tell us they were running late. Went back at 7, still not ready. They didn’t run after us again to tell us they were open. No champagne for us. We heard the music offerings two nights. Bad. So bad. We thought it was karaōke. It wasn’t.

As I was checking into the hotel I heard and saw all the people over at the bar and they seemed to be having a good time. After putting the bags and stuff away in the room I decided to go and check out. It is a kind of weird bar because it is just out in the lobby of the hotel but it also somehow manages to feel private and exclusive. It has a classy feel and was full of good looking people enjoying themselves. The drinks were really good but the service just average. I liked that they had a piano player, they totally completed the old school classy vibe. If you are staying at the hotel or not this is a cool bar to check out.

For a romantic outing with a loved ine its a good place to go. You can park on the street and walk there is a piano bar in the front but poor acoustics make the area echo they have an area called the side bar better than up in the front and leads to outside were there are couches and with a few fire pits and the ambiance of the swimming pool with lighting

Live pianist is great, service is great and cocktails are lovely. People watching was entertaining. What more can you ask for in a lounge? :)

I really love this place! It’s different than anything else in PS, sat night is amazing music. It is trendy, fun, energetic. If you do not like dark crowded places, then this is the place for you!

Small lounge at entrance of riviera hotel. Fun little warm up place and same cocktail list as circa 59 restaurant. Great love DJ spinning real records. Great for gay and lesbian couples.

First stop during a recent Bachelorette party for some drinks. Cool ambience, drink prices typical for the area, and live music which was a great bonus. We enjoyed ourselves and I’d go back for a drink.

While staying at the Riviera on a recent weekend trip to Palm Springs we stopped by the Starlite Lounge for a couple of cocktails after dinner and drinks out in town. It’s a pretty average hotel lounge, the drinks are overpriced but that’s to be expected. We ordered a couple rounds of vodka sodas and the bartenders were really friendly and quick, but for the prices we paid the drinks were fairly weak. There was a DJ playing(it was a Sat night), but it was pretty empty and no one was dancing so after finishing our second round we left to go over to the Sidebar Lounge in the hotel, which we both agreed was a far better option for some late night drinks. If I stay at the Riviera again I probably won’t bother coming here, it was pretty eh.

I was here last night with my favorite dining companion for a evening cocktail and appetizer. We chose this lounge over Sidebar in the same resort because children were hanging out at Sidebar(ages 8 – 12) on the patio portion overlooking the pool deck. Our waiter was Christian who was nice, courteous, friendly, and super cute. His black chinos accented all the right parts of him. The drink prices are a bit spendy with signature cocktails starting at $ 14 a pop. My dining companion had his fave martini and the made it as ordered. The appetizer was Artichoke dip which was not gloppy nor over cheesy as they can be. The whole experience is very relaxing. The bar itself overlooks the semicircular valet area and you have a view of the new 7 – 11 across the street, which takes a bit from the ambiance, but is convenient for resort guests who suddenly realize they forgot something like toothpaste, or condoms and lube. The one minus about the experience is that I unlocked a check-in deal via foursquare and neither the waiter nor the manager realized the deal was there but allowed the discount to happen, which was a free cocktail on your first check-in. The live pianist was talented but seemed to have a penchant for sad Lionel Ritchie songs, not exactly the way to start the evening. It was the kind of music that would inspire you to melancholia or to try and find a vein on your wrist with a butter knife. THe large gaggle of sorority girls having a five-year reunion complete with the«OMG» did not seem to mind, so why should I. If you go here, try to go during Christian’s shift, his smile will make the evening worthwhile, so much so that you will forget to have sticker shock when the check comes.

Stopped here with my friend around 7:30 this past Saturday night because we had a check-in deal for a free drink each. Atmoshphere was very chich and chill, waitress was prompt, friendly and didn’t give us any ‘tude for only ordering our free drink(though we did make sure to tip). I think the drink could have been a little stronger but it wasn’t watered down ether. If I stay at the Riviera again I’ll surely come back.

Best Bar Experience This Decade Let me Preface this by Saving I HATE Bars. They are loud, crowded, and the bartenders treat you like junk. The Starlite Lounge was the Opposite. Mark the Bartender was AWESOME… he made great drinks, was very firendly, and spoke candidly(which I love). Ernesto the Bar Back was super Friendly. Angelica the Server was a Sweetheart. The Nightly Entertainment was Excellent. What more Can I say? Oh and Mark made us dinner reservations for the next night which worked out perfectly!!!
